Have a charge for a room I didn't book

I just logged into my bank account and I have a $179 charge pending on my credit card. It says room only reservation. I didn't make a reservation for a room, have no emails with this amount anywhere. Who do I contact at Disney about this?

Did you book any events at Disney? We booked several extra Disney events in the past couple of weeks (dessert parties, kids club, and dining events) and they all appeared on our card as being "Room only res" reservations on our credit card.

Oddly enough we also paid off our room-only reservation recently and that payment didn't appear with "Room only res" on our card statement.

Why jump to the fraud conclusion? If someone stole your CC number, why would they book a Disney room with it?

Why not just call Disney and ask about the charge before pulling out the fraud card?
If the OP didn’t book anything with Disney and there is a charge in her card, then that is fraud.

Just deny the charge on your card. They may just reverse the charge and/or issue you a new card.

Thanks for this!

I talked to Disney this charge is for a Keys to the Kingdom I booked. I had done it a couple days ago and since they don't send confirmation emails I didn't have anything to reference for the cost in my emails.

What confused me was the room only since I knew I hadn't booked any new room. I've had fraud on my credit cards before so I'm really glad it turned out not to be that.

I’ve worked customer service, and is almost unbelievable how often one simply forgets what they’ve purchased. Always best to go to the source first.

It would have been helpful in your original post if you had mentioned that you had booked something with Disney just a couple days before. You made it sound like you just had this random charge on your card that you had no idea what it could be.

She's been posting a lot of threads about the trips she is planning. I figured it was something like this.

OP, so glad you didn't report it as fraud and end up with your tour cancelled!

.

Yep! I renewed my Universal AP over the phone in Sept, and the credit card statement that came weeks later said 'Guest Co' for the charge. It did say Orlando FL, but I called my credit card company to get more information about the charge and we figured it out.

Or they might have, you know, put the charge on hold and investigated, before completely reversing the charge of issuing a new card.

I have a few trips planned over the next couple months. What confused me was it said on the charge a room only reservation. If it had just said Disney I probably would have overlooked it. But I haven’t booked a new room in a while. I didn’t realize tours would show up like that
