Club level guests can buy more fast passes?

So how would that work at hs which only really has 4 rides right now?

Agree, I think it's like the PP said, some may see value since you can do multiple tier 1's or hop. I feel like it seems rigid for our touring style as it loses a lot if you can't modify - definitely at HS - for now, anyway...

you can use FP at shows as well - there are 11 things you can get FP for at DHS (not saying you need them, but there are things to technically attach a FP to)

Between the cost of the club level accommodations and the $50 per day (3 day minimum) price for the extra FPs, that seems like a pretty hefty price for that advantage. I wonder how many people can afford that, and how many people who might be able to afford it will be willing to pay it.

My biggest question will be how many people will take advantage of this and how it will affect availability of FPs for the very hottest attractions. For people who are already getting the club accommodations, that extra cost is not that bad, and might be worth it when Galaxy’s Edge opens. But, for people who stay offsite, at value resorts, or even DVC on points, that’s a big jump. I would probably opt for an extra hour or so waiting for the park to open over spending hundreds of dollars for a couple of desirable FPs. That seems to be working pretty well for getting a ride on FOP.

Maybe it comes down to whether you would be willing to hold someone’s place in line for an hour or two for $100 or more per hour. In this case you would be holding the spot for yourself and paying yourself.

With the limitations in place I don't think I'd bother with this even it were an option for me. No overlapping times, extra 3 must be booked and modified by phone, no duplications, 1 hour window like any other FP. If they were given as 3 anytime FP's for any ride then I might consider it.

ETA, it also sounds like all 6 will need to be used before being able to get more day of FP's so that's a deal killer for me.

I can't get past the $219 per night for Club Level to even consider whether I'd pay the $50/day for the FP.

All indications on DIS are that Disney CL is not very good and it's more than double the cost of CL at Universal Deluxe resorts.

That's where the extra fastpass incentive is coming from, as well as the early booking and good seating. Those plus Bud Light and wine and cheese from Wal-Mart enough to entice people?

So I just upgraded our room at the Contemporary to CL for our upcoming 10 night stay. I spoke with Signature Services about all the perks of the "Theme Park Extra" promo. Now the details that will clarify some questions you may have. The 90 day FP+ is really not 90 days. We are really only getting 20 "extra" days from first day of stay because it's 90 days from check out day to the 30 day mark because normal FP booking starts 60 days from check in, not check out. We do get preferred viewing for Illuminations, Happily Ever After, Rivers of Light and Fastasmic included so that's a bonus in itself. As far as FP's go, we cannot book the same attraction more than once on the 3 purchased FP's but CAN book the same as one of or normal FP's. Also we cannot book the Theme Park Extra package until the 90 day mark hits.

Edit: I also think just upgrading to CL is well worth it. We will be able to eat Breakfast every day at the lounge which will save us money, give us more park time, not have to wait on seating or food etc.

Edit again: because I'm so busy at work I calculated so much so wrong lol. I think I got it right :)

Thanks for the insight. So you are saying you can book the same attraction twice in the same day? Once with one of the 3 normal FP+s and once more with the purchased FP+?

I agree with you that I think CL can be worth it. I was looking at a stay at AKL and the club level with savanna view is only $70 more a night than the standard savanna view room. There were a lot of fun extras to staying club level besides just the breakfast. We got a welcome gift (I think it was chocolate giraffes), turndown service with more chocolates, snacks throughout the day and appetizers/drinks in evening. Plus it was nice to hang out in the lounge after a long day.

Honestly I would not be surprised if Disney offered a 3 Tier system, (ala front of the line) which would be for top paying guests. Next would be Fast Pass which would be much like US where they guarantee no more that half the standby and finally standby.

I hope they don't do this. That is more like what Universal does and it's why I don't like going to Universal. I hate standing in line and seeing people cut me because they bought a skip the line pass.

With this clarification, I have to say, when SWL opens, I'll be doing CL. Even though WDW hotels don't have a lot of things I value, for 2 rides one the SW rides, I'm in. I will try to have a companion to increase the value of CL. I hate that they don't have minibars, late night bars, 24 hour room service, dogs, planning 3 months out, or decent service, but I'm think I'm going to have make some changes for SWL.

Thank you so much for the shared info!

But you don't really think this is where this ends do you ? Disney has just been waiting for the huff and puff of the switch to FP+ to monetize this, as people predicted they would. This is just the "oh there aren't many people in Club Level so its not a big impact" phase. Already seeing people calling for this to be extended to Deluxe / all resort stays. So then if you want a headliner like FoP or galaxies Edge ... you need to book at 90, which means you need to pay.

Its coming people, if people don't complain about this enough, and if disney doesn't experience enough blow back ... its coming.

As an aside: You can also just eat breakfast in your room :) Having food / snacks delivered is much cheaper than paying for Club, but to each their own of course :)

As for the rest: Wouldn't matter if it was 1 day or 30 days advantage (though 20 is pretty significant) ... those headliners are going to be hard to get (already FOP is) ... and when they spread this to other resort guests, its going to be near mandatory if you want a shot at a coveted FP.

It shouldn't just be for Club level stays. If they are going to do it, Disney should offer the ability to purchase fast passes to all, not a select few. And please everyone, don't say "well you can book club level if you want to" - no, not if it's sold out.

Nope - everyone should get the chance to be fleeced. :)

LOL - I mean, I agree entirely. But of course, if / when it's rolled out to everyone, the experience for many will really go down, and that's very unfortunate. Again, totally cool with upsells that don't affect others, but one thing (with a few VIP type experiences aside) that I still enjoyed was that people who paid to get into the parks basically got the same experience. This will change if this rolls out further (and really changes at this point a bit)

OTOH, I am a very vocal and loyal Swolphin fan and have already decided on staying CL for the opening of SWL as I mentioned above, so WDW is getting a lot more money from me with this offering. I'm betting I'm not the only person who will make that same evaluation.

ETA: I'm hoping for 3 rides on SW rides opening day.
