Angelrose's Journey

Angelrose: Just remember that 7am is the first step on the rest of your journey.....many,many many prayers and pixie dust being sent your way.

Thank you Grumpy's Gal and dazedx3. Hugs to all of you for your prayers, pixie dust and support.

So sorry to read you had such a scare........praying for you. I was thinking of you and came to check on your/this thread. I see you posted Saturday, yet I have not received any emails or alerts - weird. This must be why I drifted off this thread a long time ago (when you first started it).

I hope you are home and recovering. Definitely waiting to hear from you.

I very seldom get alerts on this thread either ...I hope you're doing okay Angelrose and resting well.
Take good care of you , I know you've a lovely daughter in law and son who will make sure you do!

Hello my friends. I am home resting from the surgery. It went well, but they had me stay overnight because of the packing. I can't believe how tired I am from doing nothing. Of course I am not allowed to do anything but rest, drink plenty of fluids, walk around a bit and cook simple meals. Chuck and Karen are taking me out for pancakes this weekend but they have to take me right back home. No shopping for me.

Bless your heart for checking in .. enjoy your pancakes ..so glad all went well and every day you'll heal and feel a little bit better. Rest is so important .. talk good care and know we're here thinking of you. Big hugs.

I can tell you’re like me in the: relax & don’t do anything! I have a hard time with that. Thanks for checking in & enjoy the pancakes!

So happy you are home and resting. Enjoy the pancakes with your family this weekend! Relax and take it easy so your body can heal.

Yay! Pancakes are an awesome sounding weekend activity! If you get three on your plate, I expect you to arrange them like a hidden Mickey!!!

Thank you for checking in. Glad to read you are home and resting. Please take it easy even if you "feel" up to doing something. Love pancakes. Will sometimes have them for lunch or dinner :)

Thank you all. I have been resting all day. But I'm still tired from walking to the bathroom or the kitchen! I'll be watching tv and all of a sudden I am in LALALand and my show is over. I had to restart the same show three times! I guess it will get better each day. At least I am not so sore.

Tomorrow we are going out for pancakes around 3. Just right for an early dinner. I am sure by the time I get home I will need another nap. I hope I can back some energy soon.

It takes a while to heal, and healing takes a lot of energy! Rest as much as you can. I think pancakes for dinenr is a treat, so enjoy!

Oh, Mary...I expected I would get notifications of posts on this thread but of course, did not. I wanted to keep up here as well. I'm sorry I did not see your posts sooner. What a scare that was for you that weekend! I had a very similar experience before my uterine cancer surgery. I assume you had General Anesthesia during the actual surgery? It does take a awhile for the effects to wear off ...and it can effect us in other ways for up to a year...you have a lot to go through but you have such an amazing spirit, much courage, and most important, spunk! Those gifts can get us through a lot! I am thankful you are looking forward positively...but I know there will be moments, perhaps days, when you just feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and maybe even feel like you are losing hope. We are here for you ...to cheer you on, to send loads of Pixie Dust, and keep you tucked in unceasing heartfelt prayer. Of course, Chuck and Karen are the best and I am so very thankful they are nearby.

Disney in October! Oh, I do love that time of year there. Will you all stay in the house again or onsite this time? Did you say it is for a week? We enjoyed our offsit condo but I really hate paying for parking at the parks. I feel so strongly that it is a rip off for Disney to charge to park when more guest stay offsite and that means the only way some can get to the park is by car...so on top of the tkts is almost twenty five dollars for parking a day. Of course, offsite is so much more affordable that I guess it is still less cost overall. With our pups it can be difficult ...onsite we will only stay in the cabins with them ...the resorts make me nervous....all the noise with kiddos squealing happily would surely started ever our old pups and one would likely bark. But those cabins are expensive now! Yikes!

(ps Mia took down the house Christmas decorations inside and out right after the Epiphany but I still have some in my room and the table outside my door, which we decorate for my son in heaven. I don't have any Halloween decor still up though!)

Enjoy those pancakes...I LOVE pancakes for supper!! Yum.

Hope your pancakes were yumm! How could they not be?
I'm sure the outing totally wore you out ...rest well

Thank you Nancyg56. I wasn't expecting to feel so tired. I guess I felt the same way after the hip surgeries, but just don't remember it being so long. What am I thinking? It's only been3 days! I am feeling a bit more energetic today. I got up and walked a few times around the house today.

Minnie&Nana, thank you for the advice. We are planning to stay at a different condo this October. I will still have my own bedroom but will share a bathroom with the kids. That isn't a problem because I usually used their bathtub instead of my shower most nights.

I will keep your advice close to my heart so I won't be disheartened at this new journey. "man plans and God laughs" I guess new plans will be made for me.

I think looking forward to the food and wine festival and the Halloween party and parade will keep me on the right path. Then the trip to Dollywood next year. I just have to keep planning!
