January New Year, New You! Exercise Challenge

small person and I went to the Magic Kingdom and did lots of walking. We were there about 5 hours, but since a bit of stop start due to 4 rides, I am only counting 2 hours walking. That brings my total to 450/930. So now almost halfway to my goal :)

TGIF! No minutes for myself from yesterday, but adding 45 minutes from walking on the treadmill at work today!

No color changes to report just yet, but we're all making some pretty steady progress!

Today's Question: What's something that you have done recently that you are proud of?
For me, it's been saving money. Husband and I have been working on this discipline since we got married. We saved enough to go to WDW and I'm proud that we didn't stop there!

165 minutes trekking through shin-high mud, really cold water, snow, and ice today. Fun times at the barn! :joker:

Just 10 minutes for me since my last post - 210/400.

Yikes! You get my vote for "Who or what is inspiring you this year?" - The dedication you show to the animals is amazing!

- In spite of a rough day earlier, I got outside and got the Christmas lights down before the big freeze tomorrow.

Aww, thanks! Any day spent with such wonderful creatures is a good day. As for the elements, as long as you have the proper gear on, it's really not that bad, and my body craves this sort of exercise. I feel like something is missing from my day if I haven't been able to get in a good outdoor workout.

I bought a new home :) Had it built from ground up so 100% all mine. Pretty good accomplishment for a single mom.

Work was crazy last night, lots of chaos. I was running around until 1am then it started to taper off until morning. So I am giving myself 60 minutes. Total now is 510/930

Yesterday I did 50 minutes on the treadmill before the weather and roads got really bad. Today I did 50 minutes of Kinect Adventure on the Xbox about 10 minutes walking the mall and I am going to say 10 minutes between taking the Christmas tree down and vacuuming the house.

A moment I am proud of....Working out when I really don't want to and really just want to be lazy. I would say taking the tree down but that is also attached to a bad mom moment. DD was helping me and was being impatient. She was handing me ornaments but I need her to wait to I cold get the new box I got for ornaments together. She continue to get more ornaments so she was holding a ton of them. She dropped one and it broke. My husbands grandmother would get us an ornament every year for Christmas with our names and year on it. She passed away a few years ago so when DD accidentally broke it I kind of lost it with her. I was so upset. I did have a talk with DD and told her I was very sorry for my reaction and I was not mad at her and explained to her why I got upset.

Wow, I am so far behind already. Bad back = appointment with a pain specialist next week so now all I can do is walk, and not at a fast pace either.

Anyways another 65 on the treadmill yesterday and today.

210/1500

So far behind..... :sad2:

It's okay to be behind. Life happens. Don't beat yourself up over it. Any activity is better than none! And if none is what your body needs in order to heal, well, that's okay, too. Just take care of yourself and know that when you feel better, you can always do more.

I did the same thing when DS was little over a coffee mug that my late mom had given me. I felt so guilty at the time, but I don't think he even remembers it now. Your DD will forgive you!

(And I'm sorry about the ornament.)

100 minutes since last check in.

I am heading to the beach in a couple of days and then going to WDW, so if I'm not checking in regularly, please know I haven't bailed. I'll just keep track of minutes and add when I can. Keep up the good work, everyone!
