Hi, we were thinking of booking premium economy but now thinking maybe economy and paying extra to pre book front row seats. Is it possible to look at what seats are still available on a BA or virgin flight before booking . If so how would I do this please.

If look on the virgin Atlantic website, look at the flight you want, and click on seat map. It will show you what’s available. I highly recommend sitting economy in the bubble, which are the upstairs seats. It’s much quieter with better service, and if you book a window seat, you get lots of extra room, with like an extra shelf and compartment near the window (it’s hard to describe)

thank you Amelia, did really want to fly with virgin but ended up booking with BA as much cheaper. We did economy and pre booked our seats J&K row 44 which is a twin seat at the back.

Have a fantastic time, I’m so sad we won’t be there this year, I’d really like to hear your thoughts on BA when you’re back as we haven’t flown with them before.

We flew with them last year. I felt their seats were more comfy and had more leg room as you could put your feet under the seat in front. This year we booked the back seats so we could recline and not bother anyone, as last year my husband wouldn't recline his seat so not to intrude onto the person behinds space but the person in front of us did and he could't see the screen and it was hard to stand up as the chair was so far into your space.

Love the back rows of 2! Not so keen on the way there as you're one of the last off the plane :guilty:

As a family of 4 we sat on the back 2 rows ( on return ) and loved it. Felt more spacious with the extra bit of room alongside the window :)
