SOG to AK for EMH over Presidents Day weekend

Anyone with experience staying at Shades of Green and using their bus to Animal Kingdom for EMH? AK is opening at 7am Presidents Day holiday weekend. We have a FP for FOP but want to try the Na’vi River Ride at rope drop. We have 2 kids so would prefer not to wait more than 20 minutes. If we have SOG which I believe leaves SOG 30min before the park opens, will we be way? How long would you anticipate the wait being for Na’vi River if we take the SOG bus.

If that bus timing is accurate (who knows?) you will be behind thousands of other guests if you get to DAK only 15 min. or so before the posted "opening time."
(DAK opens much earlier than the posted time.)
Na’vi River will be much easier to ride than FOP, but you'll still have quite a long wait.

Another choice is taking a hired car to DAK much earlier, but that won't help shorten your overall wait time... as you'd still be waiting from the earlier arrival time.
But, you would be "behind" fewer guests if you get there earlier.
A Disney "Catch 22" dilemma.

I have never been to AK but have read they start letting people in 15min early and that is even after bag check, etc. So, if we Uber there and get there at 6:30am, how long of a wait to you think we would have for the Na’vi River Ride? I am ok waiting some...but not an hour for this specific attraction. Our FOP fast pass is at 8am so was hoping to go right from the Navi River Ride to FOP at 8am and then get out of Pandora and move on to The Dino Ride before that line gets to be too crazy.

We drive to AK when staying at SOG. Busses just don’t start early enough. If you don’t have a car, I’d walk to the Poly and take their bus.

Typically around 6:30a-7:00a. The 45 minutes thing is completely wrong.

And what is it is a 7am EMH? AK has a 7am EMH over Presidents’ Day weekend. Everyone is telling me we need to be at the park an hour before it opens, even if it opens at 7am...? Doubt Disney busses will start before 6am?

We have a FP for FOP so not convienced we need to be there at 6am....

SOG buses leave 30min before park opening. You could Uber or you could walk to Poly and catch the early Poly bus. Uber would be quickest and least stressful I would think. We loved the SOG buses but if you are trying to do the new rides at rope drop then you might want to get there earlier. We are just going to do the SOG bus because we don't care about getting there super early and will just do the rest of the park while everyone else heads to Pandora.

When we stay at SOG, we always drive to AK.
