Pirates of the Feeding?

Here's my $0.02, whether this was a trolling question or not...

I BF both of my girls. I BF on planes (pumped too), in the airport, @ WDW/Universal Studios and many other places. I did sometimes use the Baby care centers as it was a nice quiet/cool respite from the parks. It wasn't always convenient to walk back there though bc they are usually located toward the entrance. When I did BF in various places around the park, I would usually try to find someplace less crowded bc both my kids would get VERY easily distracted. I would have never been able to BF on a ride or queu for this reason.

That being said it would never ever bother me to see a mom BF anywhere and I am a big supporter of BF women/rights. I do understand though how it could make some people who aren't used to it uncomfortable.

It was a genuine question, not meant to cause ire.

While I may not react in any different way than normal, I assure you there are teenagers, etc. that may not be as impartial and even mock such a natural thing. So perhaps this becomes an education lesson to children who may ask "what is that woman doing"?
Oh good lord, if a child (3, 13) looks at a breastfeeding mother and doesn’t know what she is doing, I’d be concerned for that child. She is obviously feeding her baby! There is nothing dirty, weird, or inappropriate about it, there is nothing to talk about. I have 4 teenagers and 1 young adult, I can’t even imagine them giving it a second thought, and they were all bottlefed.

Wait, she SAT in the middle of the queue and blocked the movement of the queue? If that's what you're saying, then that would be annoying, for whatever reason someone did it.

Most people can manage nursing and walking at the same time just fine after kiddo is about 3 weeks old. Did it myself at WDW many times. (My preference was using a ring sling, fwiw.)

If she was sitting in the queue (whether blocking it or not), I would be concerned from a safety point of view. The POC queue is very dark and she could easily get run into because people are not looking down.
Anywhere else, not an issue.
I breastfed an 11 month old all over the parks 20 years ago, when people were not as aware of breastfeeding. I was discrete enough that several times when I was sitting on a bench feeding her, I was approached by ‘grandma’ type ladies who sat and shared a bench with me and then asked if they could see the ‘sleeping baby.’ I told some of them that I couldn’t turn her so they could see without waking her up. Others, I told she was eating - they were curious, not upset - and I had some good conversations about how child care had changed.
I think it happened a lot more in the past than people were aware of, but because they were not aware, there was less outrage.

As someone who breastfed for over three years. Yes three years is correct. I have to say I have breastfed nearly everywhere. When you breast feed it doesn't matter what you are doing, if that baby is hungry then you have to feed that baby.

Wow...
Just imagine if that mom was sitting there bottle feeding her baby...
Would you have an issue? No? Then there shouldn’t be an issue here.

The sitting in the dark queue is an issue. The feeding, bottle or breast, shouldn't be.

And they likely were not aware because you used some common sense in how you approached it.

Last week we were in line and watched a woman sit down on the floor queue and.......I've never seen this before and wasn't sure how to, if at all, react.

Anyone else see this at a Disney attraction? Should there be designated and discrete areas besides restrooms for this?
My youngest is 12. I still remember being in public places, like a restaurant, and having to feed him in the bathroom... straddling a toilet. It was so disgusting but even 12 years ago that’s what we had to do. Now I have seen women breastfeed in just about every show or slow moving ride. Also in most restaurants. Last trip there were many moms at various places and no one paid attention. A few time a mom was so close to us I know my son and his friend (both youngest children and no younger cousins so they aren’t around it) never even gave it a second glance. It’s definitely not a big deal.

While that is true, that wasn’t the OP’s issue.

No, it was mine. I deliberately responded that way to highlight the point that the OP's "issue" was a non-issue, but that the way the situation was described gave the idea that there WAS an actual problematic behavior involved (which AFAICT, there really wasn't.)

I don't know where Goofy4Donald lived 12 years ago, but in the US and Europe, between 20 years ago and 10 years ago, I nursed my children in public places such as restaurants with no issues at all. (Well, except for an elderly priest at a wedding service making a grab for my shawl in order to bless the baby, and getting rather more of a view than he anticipated, LOL.) My mom nursed her children in bomb shelters during the Blitz, so I guess you could say that my sense of perspective of what was a non-issue came from her.
