Which is better?

We are taking our two and a half year old in the spring to WDW. She does show interest in the princesses, the main ones she likes are Anna, Elsa, and Rapunzel. I have Cindy's booked, but we also have an ADR for Akershus. I was wondering which is better? I also have an ten year old boy and don't want to subject him to two princess meals. (who am I kidding? I don't want to subject myself to two princess meals) We have T Rex booked for him. So in your experiences, which ADR is better or which did you like more?

Don’t forget about Trattoria Al Forno Bon Voyage Breakfast at the Boardwalk!
Rapunzel & Flynn Rider are there, as well as Eric & Ariel.
I have reservations next month, so I can’t speak personally, but I have heard it’s great!
Something else you might want to consider - especially on a Hollywood Studios or Epcot day.

We prefer CRT. Better food and interaction.

We've been to all of the princess meals. None really wow us from a food point of view, but if it's about experience, CRT is #1. I remember planning my girls' first trip a number of years ago and while we did both CRT and Akershus, CRT was the must on day 180...simply because I knew eating in the castle would be the wow factor the girls would go nuts over at the time.

I haven’t been to CRT but we went to Akershus in April for lunch and really enjoyed it. Each princess came around to our table and she got an autograph from all of them. She also did a photo pass photo with Belle when we walked into the restaurant. I personally thought the castle the restaurant is in was really neat - I wouldn’t think your son would feel it was too girly.

I haven't been to Akershus, have been to CRT. I don't see how anything can beat being in the castle!

Looks like I am in the minority here. We prefer Akershus over CRT mainly due to the price. Our food at both places was good (we had dinner at CRT and breakfast at Akershus) and the princess interactions were both very good. We felt that once we were inside the castle at CRT it was nice but not really special and I think that the significance was lost on my children. The difference to us is the price. Since we liked both experiences equally, we prefer Akershus for the less expensive meal. Our breakfast was great there - a buffet of cold items (meats, cheeses, yogurt, pastries) which is good for children who do not want to wait for their food and then family style hot items (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes). It was perfect with a photo pass picture with Belle in the beginning, each princess came to the table and the children can all participate in a parade with the princesses throughout the restaurant. Both are great princess meals so your daughter will love either. Good luck with your choice!

I'd go for CRT for sure!! Whats cooler than eating in a castle? :) Its a must-do at least once. Character interaction is awesome here.

We ate there last year and really enjoyed it. Food was great and the interaction with the characters was great. We booked it again for this year!

I have never been to Akershus, but think both CRT and the Bon Voyage breakfast are fantastic and will absolutely be must-dos for our next trip. I probably won't consider Akershus unless they change up the princesses or food, because the menu doesn't appeal and it's the same characters (mostly) as CRT.

CRT: the food was incredible. They provided my toddler a full kids meal free of charge, including the grapes and cheese appetizer, drink, entree with side, and cupcake dessert. The kids loved the sword, wand, and wishing stars and we're in awe of the castle. We also had spectacular service.

Bon Voyage: Excellent food, and we are not typically breakfast people. Huge portions and the theming of the meals was neat. My toddler was also given a full kids meal for free with drink, fruit, and choice of entree. It was a fun experience to meet Flynn and Eric and the characters were really into their roles.

The food isn’t much to write home about at either location, but if I had to choose, I prefer CRT over Akershus. There’s a certain wow factor dining in the castle. The pic with Cinderella, wand and wishing star are perks. I thought the character interaction was decent at both, but in our experience it was a smidge better at Akershus.

The Castle is a uniquely-Disney space. We like the food at lunch the best. If you've never been, this is my recommendation (even if it becomes a 'one and done').

But Akershus, in my opinion, has better interaction with the princesses (they do a conga-line). Value in the food is on the buffet appetizers - you get value eating the smoked fish (i.e., lox/salmon).

For your consideration:
Trattoria al Forno (on the Boardwalk) has a (non-buffet) breakfast with Ariel & Rapunzel with their respective Princes....which may be a 'better' all-around experience for your family.

And if you prefer Anna & Elsa, maybe the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party is a good-fit for your needs.

Akershus is nice, and A lot less expensive. However we prefer CRT. There is nothing like being in the castle!

In planning our trip, we had ADRs at Akershus and CRT with a wish for Trattoria Al forno since Rapunzel, and most importantly Flynn Rider, are the faves of my DD11.

We ended up dumping Akershus because of the menu, nothing really appealed to us.

We had lunch at CRT and loved it. Food was fantastic, service great, and character interaction was Great!!!

We ended up getting the Bon Voyage breakfast and really LOVED it. Our server was AMAZING and very accommodating when nothing on the menu appealed to my mom and daughter. The day before, my babygirl fell in love with the lox at Tusker House, so she order it there and the server was fantastic in letting her get that. She totally swooned over Flynn which should really concern me how she loves a thief, but we really loved our meal and interaction.
