Is disneyland Paris really this inexpensive?

So I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip to France this summer and thought Disneyland may be a fund day trip. But then I got playing with it and, if i did this correctly, my family of three can stay at Disney Newport Bay for 3n/4d, park tickets each day, AND an addon 8 hour excursion/tour of France for approx. $2000 USD?

Ive been to Disneyland, Disneyworld, and Disney Cruise so I am accustomed to disney vacation prices. The $2000 seems too good to be true...

Hi there, I'm not familiar with US prices but that price does sound about average for Disneyland Paris (assuming a conversion rate that puts it around £1250).
In fact, at quieter times than summer and with deals it can sometimes be even cheaper - I'm paying less than that for a January trip of 4n/5d for 4 adults including meal plan.

I am glad such a great trip is affordable for you - it's all relative really, obviously it is still a lot of money but it sounds like for summer you've definitely found a good rate!

Oh and you may have already done so, but it is always worth checking other country sites - for example the UK site has a free nights offer on for summer that may save you even more.

great, thank you. . . we were not considering DLP but just a trip to paris, neims, and epernay. However, we decided to bring our son along and thought DIsney would be perfect! It's actually more inexpensive to make Disney Newport Bay our "base" and do our tours from there.

Also, is anyone aware of any "kids club" offered at any of the Disney Hotels? We dont think our son would enjoy touring Champagne houses all day so need to find a supervised activity for him

Paris is such a wonderful city. Its a very expensive city. I personally think staying in Paris is the best option is to stay in Paris. Because Paris is walkable and has enough for 10 days of visiting. I could live there. I personally would see the Louvre and Versailles. They are the best examples of their type. It also helps if you can speak French. Paris is great. Personally you will miss out on all the world class dining in Paris. Like Ze Kitchen Gallerie and Aperge were excellent. Personally. Doing a private cruise was a highlight :-) I thought
Découvertes Inc & Sarl were excellent.

you could always stay at the Waldorf in Versailles. Not the best hotel in France but okay from what I heard none the less. Personally I had a mediocre experience in DLP and at that hotel.

It is very reasonable right now. We just booked for 6 nights in October. They're having a special offer when you book for a couple of nights, you get up to two more nights free and two more days in the park free, max 6 nights. When I first did a search (before I knew about the offer), I tried for 7 nights at the Sequoia Lodge which came out to about $3100 (USD). I found the offer, took one night off and it brought the price down to $1880. I upgraded to a lake view room (+ $200), added a sightseeing tour (+ $135ish), Photopass (+$79), and express shuttle to the airport at the end of our visit (+ $52). That plus the fees came out to under $2500 (for two adults). That's cheaper than staying at the Paradise Pier at DLC. A week at The Grand Californian could easily be $4000.

It also looks like Paris has a different pay structure. The price seems to be based on the day you check in and each day after is the same rate, not each day being a different price and added up. I couldn't find this brochure on the regular site, but it's under my account information. Hopefully the link will work to give you an idea of the cost.

We stayed at the Disneyland hotel and didn’t find the price to be much cheaper than other Disney trips but there are many factors that influence price. We found that food and bottle water to be much more expensive than us parks. Especially with the exchange. I personally don’t think it will be particular convinient to make that a base hub for Paris. We loved epernay.

Good info here, do you have any other recommendations for hotels in Paris for a family of 5 (three teens included)? It's our first visit this April for a 4 day trip, and I know nothing about it! So different from planning a Disney vacation where I know all of the ins and outs, very daunting...any tips are very appreciated!

I just booked a stay in one of the golden forest rooms at Sequoia and with the free nights deal since that room included breakfast, the whole package with airport transfer and insurance was just a bit over $1600. Which is CRAZY cheap, in my view. We are AP holders at WDW and go regularly to Disneyland, too (in fact, leave next week), and that price just blew my mind. The food and drink might be a bit higher, but not much. I thought that was a fantastic deal.

Don't forget the parks are quite small in comparison to both DLR and WDW; there are a lot less attractions, especially E-tickets, and therefore a lower price.

I agree. We went to Paris two years ago, and we skipped Disneyland because they were doing a lot of work and there was too much to do in Paris. We will be going next summer when we are in Europe for 8 weeks, but we are only planning two days at Disneyland and 3 days in Paris. I really should skip Paris (we know we will be going back to Paris again), but my DD8 and I can't bring ourselves to skip it because we loved it so much.

You might look into a rental in Paris. That's what we did because you can only have so many persons per room, so you might have to get 3 hotel rooms with three teens and yourselves. We went through a rental company and got an apartment in St Germain. It was heavenly! I much preferred it to a hotel.

It isn’t uncommon in January to get hotel packages for $600 or so for one of the budget Disney hotels. I’d look into a club level room for the extra perks they bring if it’s a reasonable price. Newport Bay is a lovely hotel.

Disneyland Paris is considerably cheaper in general than the US parks (for a package holiday). There are lots of offers where children under 12 or 7 stay and play free, which as you can imagine saves hundreds of dollars each, particularly when there’s a free meal plan on offer.

That said, merchandise is more costly and restaurants can be more expensive too depending on where you eat. The hotels aren’t in the same league as the majority of Disney hotels in the USA, so I would be prepared for that. Newport Bay is one of the nicer ones I think. It has a gorgeous buffet restaurant called Cape Cod- the plus buffets are in a totally different league to the Disney buffets in the States so it is well worth trying them out if you can.

I’d agree with others that if you want to do Paris, you stay in Paris, and if you want to do Disneyland, you stay in Disneyland. Ideally I would spend a few nights in Paris followed by a few nights in Disneyland. :)

It is much cheaper than Orlando for sure! we were spending weeks trying to find a hotel in Paris for our family of 4 without having to get a suite or 2 separate rooms. so we decided on DLP because it was the cheapest option for a hotel stay AND included park tickets. My youngest son is infatuated with trains so a daily train ride into Paris won't be an issue for us.
