May 2018 AP Rates

Sure, the day(s) AFTER Groundhog Day. I just pictured all of us in the Bill Murray movie of the same name, except the recurring situation is every phone call to a CM regarding AP rates ends with "They will DEFINITELY be released tomorrow. Please check back on February 3rd." And, of course, at midnight it resets back to February 2nd all over again. And again....

Nooooooo!!!!!!

Is there a trick to getting AP room rates to display? Every time I click on it, I get kicked to the “buy an annual pass” page. I’m logged in and my ap shows up.

Well, probably if your looking past April 14 the AP rates are not out yet

It's a known glitch.
You are going to have to start by clearing all Disney related cookies from your browser, whichever one it is. That still doesn't work 100% of the time. Disney claims their site is optimized to work best on Chrome but when it comes to this issue, it's actually the worse, for me.
If you are using Chrome you can try opening a page using Incognito mode. I am hitting about 50/50 on this working. I like to try to stick to using Chrome since that's what I use for everything else, both on my PC and my MAC (and my phone too for that matter)
Next step is I open Edge, again clearing all Disney related cookies (I have actually set Edge to delete all cookies and cache each time I close since I only use it for websites that won't open correctly in Chrome). This works about 3/4 of the time.
If it doesn't work then I open a Private page in Edge. So far, this works

Well, at least we have some movement.....Been watching this page https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/ and while the AP rate isn't out yet, up until today there were two featured offers ( the room only Soak up the sun as well as the Package Soak up the sun). The package one is still listed but not a "feature" now. Expecting the room only will drop off shortly. Then....We hope the AP rates become the featured offer.

If nothing is out by Monday, then I won't know what to think.
Yes, I just checked online at the Disney site. Nothing new, just the AP rates through mid-April. Would the website be updated when the rates drop, or would calling be the better plan of action?

The website will be updated the same time the phone agents get the new promo. I avoid calling if at all possible. Hold times are always a PITA, not to mention the entire phone system period. So much easier to just do it online when possible.

Agree 100%
I had to call in the last promo on my reservation and I can say, without a doubt, I would avoid it at all costs.
First, it took forever to get through the extensive waiting game that is being on hold. By then, the room category I had booked was already "unavailable" for the promo. I ended up checking for a few weeks until I found it available again (which resulted in another long phone call). :crazy2:

Meanwhile, I updated my parents reservation online in less than 30 seconds.

I much prefer the website to calling as well. Of course, then you juggle long wait times and potentially untrained CMs vs the unreliability of the website, LOL. Please, Disney IT, do not give me a Disney character eating the page!

I recently had to have my entire MDX(E) account recreated. Which was a PITA too. But, one huge bonus that came out of it was, I can now Change my reservations online again.
I had lost that ability about 18 months ago. No one could determine why so I was left either cancelling reservations and rebooking or calling. I actually opted to cancel and wait on refunds most of the time, rather than dealing with calling them.
Now, I can change them online again. So very glad. Made having to create a brand new email account just for Disney worth it.
