Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

What address do you use to have Safeway deliver to Beach Club?

This was posted on the Safeway thread in the Resorts forum. I haven't used a delivery service, so I can't verify this personally. I think some recent guests have used Safeway for delivery, so they may be able to confirm this info:

I just looked and I just have "1600 Seven Seas Drive, Orlando FL 32830" In the comments section I put "please leave with Bell Services at Beach Club". Also it is listed as Business, Hope that helps

ETA: above address appears to be the address for the Poly.

Anyone know why the address would be different than the one I have always known for the resort?

Disney's Beach Club Resort
1800 Epcot Resort Boulevard
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830

Dee, You have the correct address. The other address looks like the Poly.
So excited to be heading back to YC next weekend for my b-day. Hoping to see a few pups out and about while there (we miss our Klondike dearly, and the days she would tag along on our trips and spend her vacay at Best Friends).

Anyway, does anyone know if all rooms are now complete with the refurb? And which rooms have showers (vs. bathtubs)? I so prefer showers, and will request accordingly to hopefully snag one!

TIA!
Cindy
All rooms are refurbished. Almost all king rooms have walk-in showers, while most queen/queen rooms have tubs with showerheads. Definately call in about 6-8 days before arrival, and express your preference.

That is a great suggestion. Will do.

Although this is not the place for arguments or complaining about the policy, much like the dog thing, I wouldn't mind hearing about guests' actual experiences with security visits happening at the Yacht & Beach. People can post their experiences here, or if they post on one of the other thread, let us know that they posted there.

I don't always get to other threads on the resorts board- I scan them periodically, but trying to keep up here keeps me busy enough!

:upsidedow
I am in a CL room at the YC. I had regular housekeeping in the morning an turn down in the evening. Nobody has come to do a security check while we were in the room. I wouldn't know if they came while we were out. I would have never known about the policy if I didn't read it here. It Is raining so we were in the room longer than usual this afternoon.

Ok Beach club experts I am overwhelmed. We are staying in a garden/woods view room with our 4 young kids(7,4,2, baby) in February. What room requests if any should I make? Is ground floor more convenient? Is a large balcony a better choice for the view? I anticipate the DH and I may want the space of the balcony or patio to sit once the kiddos are sleeping

:welcome: to the thread!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool1:

I agree with other posters that a full balcony would be a good choice for a room request.

Ground floor would be convenient in that you wouldn't have to use an elevator, BUT, with young kids, I would be concerned with the possibility that they could exit the room and get onto the grounds.

Not all rooms at the resort have a daybed, and I'm not sure if your family will automatically have priority for one since the children under the age 3 won't count towards the room occupancy. If a daybed is needed, make sure you add that as a request as well.

::yes::

Hi all!! Question for all the experts out there, does the Yacht Club do anything special for Easter? What characters come out and where? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!! :):flower1:

This is the listing for the 2017 Easter Activities. It looks like characters were meeting in the Beach Club Villas Courtyard in the morning, but I don't know which characters were meeting.

:flower1:

Just reading wistfully...we will be at Yacht Club May 2020, 2.5 years!!!

But hey...at least I can make reservations around June/July 2019, that's only 1.5 years away... :o

Look at you being all "glass half full!"

Shall I pencil you in for 2020 on the Be Our Guest list? I have a few 2019-ers, but you would be the first for 2020.

:dogdance:

Did any of the rooms have queen beds and a daybed?

:welcome: back to the thread.

Do you have an upcoming trip booked or are you in the planning stages?

:thumbsup2

Looking to attend F&W September/October 2019...so I'm following this post for info on BC.

We got back from our first WDW experience on January 4th after staying at POFQ. EPCOT was my DD11's fave park, so the thought of being that close to our fave park is very appealing, especially for F&W.

:welcome:

The Beach Club is a great place to stay for EPCOT lovers, especially during a Food & Wine trip!

I'll pencil you in!

As others have posted, all rooms at the YC have been refurbished. If you prefer a shower only, no tub, you should add the request to your reservation.

:woohoo:

Hi all, I’ve been MIA for some time because our August trip is to OKW due to Yacht Club having no availability for our dates. Well, now there is availability so I have an email into my TA for a transfer of booking. Fingers crossed that we get the move. In our favour is that OKW is undergoing refurb and Disney have been transferring August bookings to SSR. I’m hoping Disney will jump with joy that we want to give up a 1 bed villa.

I’m also blaming Tim Tracker for his wonderful resort walk through a couple of weeks ago. Loving the new food options at Yacht Club, finally somewhere to refill that mug.

OOPS!

I had some technical difficulties last night with my multi-quote.

:wave2:

Good to see you again!

I hope you end up being able to book here. Let us know!

:goodvibes

9 days away from the YC!!!! I feel like I am forgetting to do something?? Do all the Queen/Queen rooms in the YC have daybeds? I saw not all do at BC but was not sure about YC. Also do you need to request a full balcony for YC? Thank you

No, not all queen/queen rooms have daybeds. Some do not even have a lounge chair, only desk chair. If you need a daybed, you should probably add to your room requests.

About 99% of the YC rooms have full balconies.

Thanks! We will be at YC Feb 3-5. :) One of the perks of living in Florida...I can make a quick trip down to spend my b-day at Disney!

I'm pretty sure that I know the answer and that it's no, but since I'm always finding out something about WDW that I never knew, thought I'd ask.

If I take a monorail (or bus for that matter) to the front of Epcot there's no way to get to the Yacht Club without going through the Epcot, correct? Just trying to figure out transportation for my upcoming trip.

W00T! Checked in yesterday ... reserved a standard / garden view... they did not sprinkle any pixie dust on us... they shot it at us with a cannon! To our great surprise we were upgraded to a turret suite on the 3rd floor (rm 3155) ... it is amazing!! We are very grateful that Disney did that... how cool! I will post pictures after we return :0

Correct. If you bus to DHS you can walk or Boat to Yacht Club without entering a park.

That's correct. You'd have to walk all the way through the park to the International Gateway.

There is a very active thread addressing a change in resort policy, with Disney's Security entering rooms for "safety checks." The security check seems to be triggered when a room declines housekeeping, and the check is without notice, other than a sudden knock on the door.

Did anyone at the YC/BC receive a "safety check" from Security, while in the room, and, if so, what was your experience? Some guests are concerned about someone entering their room while they are showering, sleeping, not dressed, etc., or while their kids are alone in the room.

The policy originally was announced for monorail resorts.

Instead of placing a "Private" or "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, there is a door hanger that says "Off to Neverland;" however, there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the sign, which states that Disney CMs have the right to enter the room, nontheless.
We were at the Beach Club last week and came back to the room every afternoon for a nap. The room hadn’t been cleaned two of those afternoons. We hung the sign on the door and they never knocked on the door when that sign was up. They did call the room late in the afternoon to ask when they could service the room. I asked them to come when we were at dinner. I don’t know if they ever showed up to inspect the room since the room hadn’t been cleaned when they said they would do it. But we were never disturbed by security.

That's fantastic! Enjoy your trip (and try to tear yourself away from the room for a bit...)

Congratulations, and GO NAVY!

Thank you both. That's what I thought. :(

I am starting to second guess myself about the YC CL!! I really had my hopes on the BC CL but discounts are not great for BC. I am saving quite a bit of money at the YC. We stayed BC CL level last time and loved it. How do the club level lounges compare?
Also I will have two 11 year old boys with us. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
