Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Is it the postcard introducing Disney Signature Services (fancy envelope, etc), or something different? If it’s something different, so far from what I’ve seen Disney has been pretty reluctant to put anything in writing regarding the extra FP deal. They might have kept the advertising vague since it’s a trial, things could change, etc. I’m obviously speculating, BTW.

Hello! I just changed from WL CL to BWI CL for this July. I really wanted to go back to CR CL, but DH said I had to pick a new hotel. Location really was my deciding factor, but reading through this thread, it seems like BWI is more geared towards adults? Anyone have positive or negative reviews at BWI with children (DD 10 and DS 6)? BC and YC were sold out on our dates, so BWI is the only Epcot option. Plus, my kids thought the clown pool looks amazing. Also, does anyone know what beers they serve, and do they have hard cider like WL? Are adult beverages available during snack time or only at evening appetizers? Clearly, that will not make or break the deal, but helps with my Disney math! TIA!

We have been staying at the BWI club level since our dd was 4. We travel every year and now she usually brings a friend along for company. We love the resort and the CMs. It is convenient for the girls to travel to wherever they might want to go at night on their own as well.
As far as the drinks go Bud Light for sure and some Sam Adams. Last July they did not have a cider but that may have changed. If they are not out ask for one and you will be accommodated. You will enjoy it I am sure:daisy:

My kids (15,13,9) love BWI! It is my husband and son's favorite resort. The whole family loves the clown pool/slide and the general atmosphere on the boardwalk. Even when we stay at BC we always go over to the Boardwalk in the evenings to see the magicians and enjoy the atmosphere. We have only stayed CL there once but had a great time. I'm sorry but I don't remember the specifics around the adult beverages. You will have a blast and the walk to Epcot can't be beat!!

Staying at the YC Club Level in May and want one night out with my DD16 so will have a Kid's Nite Out babysitter for my DS10 so he isn't up too late. Can the KNO sitter take him to the lounge if he wants to grab an extra snack or a drink while we are gone?

:-)

I’m trying to remember if they were out every night, or just every other night. I know the PBJ sliders were out every night for the kids, but can’t remember about the nuggets.

Either way, despite being the “kids” offering I admit I had some and thought they were good!
I don't think the nuggets were there every night. They were very popular!

For us, the option to walk to two parks is a huge benefit so out of those options, I would personally choose YC. We love the atmosphere of AKL and have stayed there several times but we probably won't stay again due to location. It would be nice if you could get to AK easily but you have to rely on transportation to all 4 parks. Of course, you can easily plan for that and not lose precious park time but we like the convenience of walking. For instance, if we decide we want to go to EP or HS, when we stay at BWI, we can just get up and go and not worry about when a bus is arriving. Same for park closing...no waiting for buses!
Totally. We love AKL and stayed there a bunch when the kiddos were littles. As they got older and could stay up and about later, we started branching out. We love the convenience of being able to walk into Epcot even though it’s not our favorite park, nor are BC/YC/BWI our favorite resorts. We just like the freedom and walkability. I was chatting with DD about our late summer stay and picking between something new/pools at GF, AKL and BC. Her comments were we LOVE AKL but really like to walk to Epcot. Conundrums.

Well, pool bars are actually very important to me. In fact, they are of the utmost importance! I just went to the GF thread and looked at the pools again and they both look lovely. I'm keeping it on my list! If there's an available AP discount at GF for a CL room, I'd probably need to do the outer building one, which I've heard is less popular, but I'm keeping my eye on it! My problem is I want to stay everywhere!
Ha. Pool bars are the utmost of importance.:drinking1Nothing says let’s relax better than a mojitio or pina colada.

Here’s hoping we both get a good AP rate and get to check out GF.

Has anyone tried an Oasis Pool Patio at the Poly (tongue twister!) and did you like it? I have one reserved right now for our Saturday in June thinking we might like a reserved spot. My partner is a sun-baker while I all but require some shade in order to enjoy the pool. It's not that expensive so I'm thinking it will be worth it but would love some additional reviews! FWIW I have been to the Oasis Pool bar once and enjoyed our interaction and selections. Also open to whether you think the reserved shade is necessary first weekend of June. We've never enjoyed either pool at the Poly (it was unseasonably cold on my last visit).

I got one today too. It is the same type mailing (envelope & pretty stock card insert) as the one I got a few months ago to introduce DSS. But this one says we are in a room that is eligible for a new offering. And to call for more information. My 60 day fastpass booking window opens tomorrow for our April YC CL trip. I have not recieved any kind of call or notice about the new extra fastpass option so that's why I think it's that.

We also have Club stays in September, but with my 60 days being tomorrow, makes sense that it is for that. I'm not planning on booking the extra FPs this trip, so probably won't call.

We were there last Aug and loved it so much went back in Sept too. My kids loved it. In fact just tonight my DS5 was asking when are we going back to BW to see chef redgie and eat meatballs.:confused3 Anyways, about the beer. You can get a beer anytime but you have to ask for it...EXCEPT at dinner/apps time, they're in the cooler. And the beers change at this time to fancier craft style ones but you can still get the others if you ask. I'll try to find my pics but I remember bud light, Sam Adams seasonal, and maybe heineken and yengling?, then 4-5 craft ones. There was a pear hard cider called magners. They also had 2 white wines, 3 reds and a sparkling that stayed out from apps until close.

Booked WL CL. I know there were food options posted awhile back when they reopened. Does anyone have any current weekly food offerings? Any tips or little known tidbits to make the most out of a stay? Thanks

Also open to whether you think the reserved shade is necessary first weekend of June. (it was unseasonably cold on my last visit).

We reserved a poolside patio on a few days for the first week in May and to us it will be necessary for our baby granddaughter. But also for the adults - we all like an option to stay in some shade and watching temps last May convinced me since they were in the 90s many days during that same time period.

Got back from 6 day stay last week at BC Club.

We really enjoyed our stay...room was very clean, in fact mouse service was by far the best we have ever had staying at WDW - turn down every night by 6:30pm and mornings finished by 10:00am...it made the stay that much more enjoyable. The resort didn't seem that crowded and the lounge was full for just one of the days (early breakfast), other than that one day we could comfortably finish reading the paper over coffee.

The parks however were crowded especially so at MK and AK...EPCOT and HS weren't bad if you started early.

I got the same thing. Got the DSS welcome one awhile back and this one came yesterday :).

FYI it looks like the spring passholder rates are loaded into the system. Through June 10.

Thanks for posting this info :flower3:.

Glad you had a nice trip :wizard:.

I wanted to post thes photos. This is the card I got from DSS yesterday about the "new resort offer". Sure sounds like the new fastpass offer.

Thank you for sharing this.

I hate for this to sound negative... but classic Disney marketing. Fluffy language, lacking in detail. I would think this might be pretty easy to overlook for a guest who isn’t up to speed on that program.

At least the fact that they are doing mailers does make it seem like this trial might last awhile. :confused3

I agree with both your points. If they continue this program, I think they should be contacting the guest before the 90 day mark. Like I said, I got this yesterday & today was my 60 day mark for my April stay. I sure wouldn't have had much advantage to booking this today.
