Character Changes in AK Beginning in May

Beginning on Mother’s Day, the following Character changes will be in effect at AK:

No Longer Meeting
*King Louie
*Baloo
(In mid-April, King Louie and Baloo move to the Ticket Window area of AK until their meet ends in May)
*Flik


Dinoland - Donald Days
*Donald moves to the Gas Station
*Daisy in artist attire will be near the dinosaur play area
*Pluto in the Boneyard area
*Goofy near arcade
*Launchpad McQuack - intermittently
*Scrooge McDuck
*Chipmunks On Cretaceous Trail

**Dance Party Nightly

Discovery Island
*Dug returns to meet with Russell at Wilderness Explorers Club House

Dug, thank goodness, that was a huge loss last trip for DS. DS kept wanting to go back when he came back, hard to explain he wasn't coming at all.

How will the Up meet and greet work with the new Up show? Will their meeting times change or will they continue to meet even with the show going on when they are expected to be on the show as well?

They are hoping to keep the meet running as scheduled and will keep it staffed accordingly.

It’ll only be for the 3 weeks until their meet comes to an end. I’m not sure what’s going on in their current meet area but they will be moved out of that location by mid to late April.

Same for Baloo and Louie. Always a pretty good line when I was in the area. Because AK is hot and they're outside, it always discouraged me from meeting them. Donald on the other hand had so little of a line I jumped in even though I had no plans to.

A few weeks ago he had been moved from his spot to a hidden spot behind the Tree of Life, no sign or anything. We came out of ITTBAB and opted to go left away from crowds and there he was standing, no one around. He is a favorite so DS was happy.

Few years back we were at DHS and DS2 saw on twitter that Launchpad was at POR. He took off, caught a bus to resort, met him, then bussed back. Was only gone an hour but he sure was happy. Those are the character group he grew up with.

When we were there a few weeks ago there were some walls right next to their meet. Obstruction enough that as I approached I thought it was closed, so maybe whatever they are doing will now interfere.

Didn't the splash mountain characters meet there? We saw them on our way out in Jan.
