Fastpass time changed by Disney

I was wondering why Disney might change an attraction fastpass time on you? They changed it to a time I am not happy with and there is no other fastpass times available for me to modify to a different time.

Has this happened to anyone? And how did you fix it? Thanks!

Just curious, which ride and what was your time / what did they change it to?

It's Kilimanjaro Safari at AK. I had 8:55-9:55am and it was changed to 2:50-3:50pm. I wanted it in the morning and I was quite disappointed that it was changed to the afternoon.

This happened to me for the first two days of my recent trip of Jan 30th to Feb 8th. For me, on the first day, they switched the Jungle Cruise and SDMT in the afternoon, starting an hour earlier than I planned and ending later. The second day was similar. Unfortunately, I had written my fast pass times on paper and didn’t consult my MDE until I was stopped when trying to scan in for a ride. The third FP was left alone on each day. This happened on a previous trip also. I’ve now learned my lesson to double-check my fastpasses before I get to the park.

That's really rotten. If you aren't able to fix it, I would be contacting Guest Services. You did what you were supposed to do to get what you wanted. As far as I'm concerned, they owe you the same time or an anytime FP.

I didn't realize that was even allowed. I would be really dissapointed if my FP changed. A lot of planning goes into booking your FP.

Happened to us, too, and silly me, I hadn't updated my email address to my phone rather than my home email, and we didn't get the notice. I only saw it because I went in to my phone to change something. In our instance, they were closing the park earlier than originally planned. Something that is common in January.

Well that certainly would mess up things if you plan to park hop and the FP is moved past the time you planned to leave that park or before you had planned to enter it!

I've seen a few reports of this happening, haven't ever quite figured out why. Some were related to evening hours changing but even then, the new times didn't quite add up.
Still, those people gave Disney a call and got their FP adjusted to a better time. I would do the same in your shoes.

Same. Had an 8:20 KS on 3/16 and they moved to the afternoon. I did not want to do KS at the time they assigned, so I just switched to another ride. I'll just ride KS standby in the AM. I don't know why it was moved.

Um, yes, they are allowed to change your fastpasses.

We had ours changed, when our ride was closed for refurb. They made one for us that was a ride that we don't enjoy. I called. They changed it to something else and gave me a couple of extra for my trouble.

They changed KS on us also from 8:40 am to mid afternoon. We are leaving that day and will only be in parks a few hours. Ours was on March 4. I figured ride was down in the morning for some maintenance but it looks like it's happening a few times on other days too. I would love a number to call and change back. We have FOP FPs that morning or I would pick another park.

Looks like they changed to a 9AM open that day.

Edit: They didn't change the open for the park. The park open is 8AM, but the KS open on the ride page is 9AM. That doesn't make any sense to me, but apparently that's the case?

My FP for KS (on 3/25) was changed too. Luckily just moved us from 8:50-9:50 to 9:10-10:10.
Bummer for those of you moved to afternoon!
Maybe they're trying to let the animals sleep in a little..?

The only time they changed my FP time was when the park hours were extended. My FP was from 8:30-9PM, closing was changed to 11PM and the FP time was moved to 8:30-9:30.

The only other thing I can think of is if a show time changes and your FP is for a show.

Maybe something is going on and they anticipate the safari ride being closed or opening late on that day?

This happened to me for the first time ever on our upcoming trip plans. Odd thing is that they sent an email saying it changed and to check my itinerary, but that still shows the original time.....
