Our APs expire September 24th, and with weddings on September 1st and 22nd, we plan to attend between the September 8th and 15th.

I’ll be there Sept 16-23!

In the past, how soon after announcing dates were seminars and such announced?

We are going to be in EPCOT on Aug 28th, the last day of your trip. I'm so sad we are missing this. :( Does anyone know if the food booths happen to open a few days earlier? Or if anything will be happening a few days earlier than the official start date?

Looking forward to it again this year. Always a lot of fun. Now just waiting for them to release the dates for the wine and food pairing meals. Got our reservations and APs. Just waiting for the 180 days to get our ADRs.

With the festival starting on Thursday, they won't have the food booths open a few days early. There may be some booths open on August 29th to work out some kinks but even that is sporadic and they will run out of items.

It’s always varied a bit but typically it’s been in mid to late July. And, again typically, reservations have opened shortly thereafter. I’m not sure if we can expect the same this year as just the announcement of festival dates was several months later than it has been historically. Disney keeping it interesting.

There seems to be a bunch of rumors that the Wonders of Life will not be the festival center this year. So we may be looking at the Odyssey going back to hosting the demos after many years ... and possibly the Innoventions area being utilized for F&W? This indeed could be an interesting year with what Disney plans for the demos and events

The details for the seminars and special events were released on 7/17/17 last year so we have a ways to go.

We're really not sure what's happening here. The Odyssey is scheduled for a rehab so there rumors it will become the festival center. There are also rumors that its just roof maintenance that's being done at Wonders of Life and that it will be ready for use by the time the festival begins.
