Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

@squeezle is correct, no announced end date so far. Like with any Disney trial program, it could quickly go away, so hard to really say. Looking at you Express Bus transportation. My guess is it'll be around for a 6-12 month window, but I am totally speculating there.

I'm sorry you've had to reschedule your trip, but I hope you recover from your injury quickly. You are probably all over this, but just making sure you need to manually notify DSS to cancel your Extra FP reservation (sorry if that's obvious, just don't want you to lose your money).

Thanks. We were pretty disappointed but we didn't want to wind up having me stuck in the hotel room the whole trip. We're looking forward to our first Christmas time trip. Hope that that they still have the extra fastpass offer when we're there as it would likely make the club room worth it for us.

DSS was right on top of this.... I made the ressie changes after DSS had closed for the day but they actually called me first thing the next morning, before I had a chance to call them, to verify and to let me know they would be cancelled and refunded.

Sorry about your injury and that you had to reschedule your trip, but Disney at Christmas time is amazing!!! Hope your recovery is quick and you have a great trip in December :goodvibes.

I am thinking anout getting to the resort in the early morning, use the pool and food/cocktail hour. Is it a continuous flow of food and alcohol or are they available certain times only?

All of this! We just had our first Disney Christmas trip this past year. The decorations were beautiful, we got lucky with the weather. All in all, just special. What excitement for you to look forward to and hope your injury heals quickly.

Which resort? All of them have food & drink out only at certain times. Some of the lounges close between offerings & some are open spaces that are accessible even when there is no food out.

Generally speaking, breakfast is available 7 - 10:00 am (might be 10:30).
Snacks are out from 11 - 4.
The GF has a "tea" with added foods at around 3.
Appetizers & alcohol from 5-7pm.
Dessert & cordials from 8 -10pm.

Snacks are just that: homemade chips & dip, gummy candies, gold fish etc. GF adds scones & something like banana bread during the tea service. Some resorts might have veggies & dip in the afternoon too. You can ask for beer or wine at any time, even when it not out. All resorts have coffee, tea, sodas etc any time they are open. Some leave sodas in a cooler or small fridge when they close, but that is not guaranteed.

Is there much of a difference between BC and YC CL? Does anyone prefer one over the other?
There's probably a slight difference, but they share one central kitchen, and (as you know) the main pool. They are really just two halves of the same resort. As of our most recent stays, the BC lounge layout +staff seemed slightly better than the YC's to us. Maybe this is just us, but YC has always seemed slightly quieter, so that could be a plus for YC.

One nice plus is that they both feature a bathroom.

A few thoughts..

If you arrive early, you CAN access the lounge, and EMH if there is one.
What you might not get is access to your room until 3pm (sometimes even a little later!) Also keep in mind that if you use Magic Express and use the luggage tags on your checked luggage, then those bags will take some extra time to arrive.

Another poster said food is only available at certain times, and what they said is generally true- except: those lounges that are open 24hours ALSO keep a basket of fruit available at all times, and most have some soft drinks. The fruit+ drink cooler are only replenished when the lounge is open. After hours, it is hit or miss. the fruit basket isn't anything to get very excited about: basic oranges, basic apples, maybe bananas (they go quickly), maybe (very hard) pears. Mostly it is just oranges and apples.

No beer/wine after hours. Basic coffee usually starts at 6:30am, half an hour before the food, but just basic coffee. Breakfast is usually online at 7am, but staff might still be adding items at 7am. Depends on the staff, kitchen, which lounge.

Oh, and often they start cleaning/clearing a little before each time offering ends, especially desserts. At 9:45pm, most desserts are already gone.

Just got off phone with Signature Services, doing the 3 extra fastpasses. Kyle was so so helpful, I didn't realize that you can also book your regular fastpasses for the 3 days that you use the extra passes for!!! He also said if we want we can email them for our remaining days what fastpasses we want and they will book at the 60 day, but to keep in mind that they open at 9:00 and the reservations open at 7:00 a.m. This is our first time doing Club Level and even though we are big planners Signature Services is a definite plus :D:thumbsup2 Also booked Fantasmic, River of Lights and Happily Ever After!!!!
83 Days!!!

Yes, but you could take pics of the desserts and that would be okay.
:worship:
. Hahaha! Let me see what i took!

Anybody know if they’re doing turndown service again for Yacht CL?
Thanks!

We had turndown service for our stay 2/25 - 3/3

I can speak to this, having stayed YC CL last month - the sunscreen WAS included!! Also, someone a bit back asked about what the smaller bottles were in the front of that picture. Those are H20 Plus face moisturizers - Oasis Hydrating Treatment and Oasis Ultra Hydrating Cream. I use the latter on a regular basis in the winter because it is super moisturizing and helps my face not get so darn dry! Really nice to have all of these treats at CL!

Thanks!

Wishing you smooth sailing and a great cruise!

:sail:

Thanks for answering for me! All that was pictured was included, the sunscreen is a great addition! It’s a nice size, at least for two people it was. I did bring home a couple of those small tubes, but i haven’t unearthed them yet from my stash of goodies from the trip. I’m sure it’s the same as you mentioned :teeth:

Oh ...my...thank you for the smooth sailing wishes...we caught the southern end of the storm and whew we rocked and rolled for the first day and half. Seriously, it was a bit of a doozy. We were re-routed to Castaway Cay for a double dip so can’t really complain about anything of that now, can I ?!

We are staying this May at YC CL. I was just looking through some post on the club offerings. I enjoy drinking light beer but not Bud light. Are they able to get Miller light or Coors light if you ask? I not a big deal but I was just wondering.

A year ago at YC there was a Sam Adams offering, but not this year for us. The offerings really do rotate and change; but unfortunately you can only get the four beers that are offered for the day. I asked for a Sam Adams :). And i overheard someone ask for vodka....yea...dream on there buddy

I know people have been asking about water bottles in the CL. I can say that they do have water bottles at the BWI CL, all you have to do is ask. Actually Lorenzo brought us over 2 bottles of water this morning during breakfast because it is a warm one out here today!

On another note it looks like we are going to be stranded in Disney an extra night do to the snowstorm in the Northeast. So far they couldn't find a room in the BWI for us but we did find one at the YC. There are worse things that could happen than being stranded at Disney!

I did ask for water bottles as March 2017 we had Dasani bottles in our room each day; no water bottles available this stay

Ok let me see what pics i didn’t post.

On the king room — i had one room request to be near the lounge/elevator, even pulled my ‘medical reasons’ which i guess didn’t mean beans as we were originally assigned the absolute most furthest room from the lounge. Like honestly, we thought there was no more rooms, and peeked around the corner and there was one more room. It was either 5420 or 5240. It was two entire hall lengths from the lounge. Melissa is who checked us in said she’d switch us on Monday morning if i preferred; after walking once to my room I stopped at the CL desk and admitted defeat and asked to be switched Monday morning. It was a bit of a pain not unpacking for a night, but worth the convenience of being closer to the lounge. Seriously, i was so spent from the parks, i knew there was no way i would walk back and forth to utilize the lounges. I told my DH our next WDW trip was going to be 10 days on property with 4 days at parks! LOL. I way overdid it...and loved every minute of it!

So sorry :-(
But you will absolutely LOVE Christmas at Disney!

Shoot! I swear i took pics of one night desserts! I’ll keep looking. The CM that checked us in, did tell us that dessert every night was the same, so we could pace ourselves, which actually was helpful. I remember two kinds of chocolate cake/brownie, choc raspberry cupcake, build your own vanilla cupcake, panna cotta with berry sauce, no bake berry cheesecake (strawberry i think) and some so so so very good delectable mini mickey head chocolate ganache treats

Sorry for multiple posts, sometimes my tablet crashes

Our CL CM that i remember some for being friendly and attentive, and unfortunately one for being not much of a go getter. Melissa checked us in as I said, she was kind and nice, helpful in putting me at ease in switching rooms. The CM that i was sure to note in my survey as wonderful was Miguel, JP, Mike and Melissa. The lesser helpful, dare I say appeared lazy was Chuck. He seemed very uninterested in taking on any requests or opportunities to help out. I.e. the last night of our stay at 9:50 pm while i was matching up my receipts and delivered packages, i realized we were missing a package. I went to the desk, apologize for coming in so late, explain situation, etc. Chuck called down to gift shop and our package was there and had been for two days. Weird, huh. Honestly, i truly couldn’t even imagine walking another step to go retrieve it...he just kinda looked over at me and the other CM, who I think was Mike. I hope I got his name right, he ran down and got it for me.

Chuck paced and pushed in chairs waiting for Mike to come back. I had a glass of wine so i was feeling brave and started asking him chit chat questions. He revealed he had been a CM for many years (i forget now) and even though I insisted he could leave as it was almost 10 pm, he had to wait for Mike and they physically had to leave the floor together.

You took the important pic: the one of the mac & cheese bar. If they have that when we're there in June, my son's wee tiny head is going to EXPLODE.

Glad your DSS experience was a positive one! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

KING ROOM at the YC

Great pics, thanks for sharing! Hope you had a great time :goodvibes.

I'm thinking it is a little funny that they offer both an assortment of cheeses and mac+cheese and cheesy pork+polenta That's a LOT of cheese!

(Mind, we try to eat somewhat healthy at WDW. I'm not saying we don't eat any sweets, but much of the theme park junk food just looks kind of gross to us. A big plus of CL is that we can get healthy items like fresh fruit, yogurt, veggies, interesting salads, and sushi.)

I like some cheese, but wow, that's a lot of cheese!

Updated the guest list!! :goodvibes

We are currently in San Francisco on vacation and my oldest son has said at least a hundred times "I wish we were in Disney" and in the lounge "this isn't as good as the lounges at Disney" :rotfl: I think I've successfully ruined my children's future travel anywhere outside of WDW. :rotfl2:

I know this feeling well. :crazy2:

Could we get added to the guest list? We'll be at YC CL June 7 - 12, 2nd half of a split stay.

Got back last week from our AKL CL stay. We had a rough go the first half of our stay because our rooms’ thermostat wasn’t working properly. The CL staff said they would comp us a future 2 night Standard stay at any deluxe because of it. Just received my email today from Guest Services and it says it’s for a Standard Club level room! Bonus! There are also no date restrictions. I have no idea where to stay or when to go. What would you do? Any suggestions?
