Disney Gift Card Deals

This is great I have almost $70 in bb rewards and i thought i was not going to be able to use towards Disney.
Can the SB offer still be applied as long as it is $50?
No, I was told SB will only be rewarded on the total amount paid minus the value of the BB rewards redeemed. If you get $75 in Disney and use $70 of BB rewards you will only get SB on $5.
EDIT, CLARIFICATION: you only get the 500 bonus SB if you charge $50 so in the above scenario because you charge only $5 at the end you would not get your 500 SB bonus but you would get your 2% back I think. Need more coffee...

what i am thinking of doing is getting my bb cert in $25 buying a either loadable $75 gift card or $25 + $50 and use my $25 BB reawrds and pay the $50 balance with my CC and then pay cc with pay pal. I would do this 3x and use paypal for thr $150 i have that in SBs

You're good up until you pay your cc with paypal, that's not usually a payment option on credit cards so hopefully you mean you would transfer the money from paypal to your bank to pay your cc and you're good to go.

For those that do Samsung Pay, if you link your PayPal you get $5. It has goofy requirements, like you have to pay with your paypal account via Samsung pay, and link a bank account so it will automatically withdraw the amount you set to top off your paypal account if there's not enough to cover your purchase. And it has to be used within 14 days.

I'll do it once for $5 lol, I'll probably buy a $15 Disney gift card or something.

In continuing Best Buy news: I was at a store today and asked the cashier, with whom I've purchased many Disney Gift Cards, about the recent changes in gift card purchases. He said that if I paid 'real money' for some of the Disney gift card then I would be able to use a Best Buy gift card for the balance.

i.e. To buy a $50 Disney gift card: use $49 from a Best Buy card and $1 cash from pocket.

Don't know if this actually works because I'm waiting for the CashStar gift cards to come in.

Hmmm....seems like you could take a $50 BB gift card and buy a $51 variable-load Disney gift card and pay the extra $1 in cash. It's probably easier to get $50 BB gift cards than $49 ones:goodvibes. I'd be very interested to see if this works, especially since I would like to combine a $25 BB gift card with $25 in "cash" (i.e. my BB credit card) to earn the SB bonus.

Save Mart has buy $50 Disney (and a few other gift cards are available as well), get $10 Save Mart gift card starting today. I did it for two and what a fiasco! Walked in saw the promo and did the first purchase, clerk had to call manager who put it through and then he did my 2nd one as well. I turned around to use the gift cards for my groceries 15 mins later (since there was no time limit) and the gift cards wouldn’t read, clerk typed it in and it would flash my total to $0 and then back to full. Manager finally put my gift cards through as cash and gave me the remaining $4 on the last gift card as cash.

Save Mart has had promo issues before so if you want to do this- test it! I sincerely hope it was a delay on Save Mart’s gift card activation system and the cards would have worked if I’d waited longer but idk. My Disney gift cards were active when I got home, I have no idea what sort of fight I would have had on my hands if I had taken the gift cards to spend another day only to find out they had a $0 balance. I will not be repeating this promo but I wish others interested better luck!

Hm, I wondered about that too and almost tried it but the cashier was certain that my $25 BB GC wouldn't work on the $50 Disney GC and I didn't have time to push it. I've also wondered if I had a GC and a item could I use the BB GC on the transaction at all. Like I could use the GC on a DVD and then be 'paying' cash for the 3rd party GC; like the Target glitch was allowing when it worked right.

Next time I go I plan to have a couple scenarios ready to try, I just wasn't prepared on the last trip as it was a last minute decision to stop in :)
