Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is returning for even more days of wicked fun! Beginning September 7 through October 31, a spell will be cast at both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, transforming the Disneyland Resortinto a frenzy of happy haunts.

This limited-time seasonal celebration will include special attraction overlays, themed décor, seasonal treats and merchandise, plus spooky encounters with favorite characters.

Oogie Boogie will once again take over Disney California Adventure park with stylish Halloween decor along Buena Vista Street and a swarm of bats encircling Carthay Circle Theatre. Cars Land will celebrate Haul-O-Ween as Radiator Springs turns into Radiator Screams! For the occasion, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will transform into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree while Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters changes into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. In Hollywood Land, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will transform nightly into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

Over at Disneyland park, the Pumpkin Festival will greet guests as they make their way down Main Street, U.S.A. Fan-favorite attractions will also return, including the eerily delightful Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

Additionally, the highly anticipated Mickey’s Halloween Party will host 15 nights of fun. This separate-ticket, after hours event gives you the chance to make your Halloween Time experience even more fun with some exclusive entertainment, Disney characters in their Halloween attire and trick-or-treating throughout Disneyland park!

I'm pleasantly surprised that the ticket prices also appeared to stay roughly the same (though I think the most expensive nights increased by $10 or so). I had fun last year so will look forward to it this year!

Well this makes me super happy. I am planning my first October trip and was hoping the party would fall on the Friday we are there along with it being in DL. I should start working on my costume.

We will be there Oct. 16-18, but do not plan to attend the party. What time do you think DL will close for non-party guest & what time would California Adventure close? Likely we'd start out at DL & then hop to DCA later. And one other question: can you see the fireworks from the esplanade?

Usually the park closes when the party starts. Toontown closes earlier since it’s open to party guests before the official start of the party. DCA typically closes at 8 or 9 on “school night” parties and 11 or 12 on fridays with Halloween parties.

I'm really shocked by this announcement considering the following bit from a survey I got back in March. I took a screenshot.

I was actually excited for this. Now that I find out the party is staying put (and presumably there will be no new WOC show) I don't really feel a strong need to go this year.

Interesting. Well there's always next year.

True. With Galaxy's Edge open you'd think they'll HAVE to move it (unless they want to add access to GE as a selling point... which doesn't make sense cause they have no problem selling tickets to MHP)

This is my first ever trip to DLR (9/26-10/2), so my friends and I are excited about this announcement. We have done MNSSHP at WDW, so this will be nice to try this.

Since it is our first ever trip, and I am reading this right, if we get tickets for 9/26, we could get into California Adventure 3 hrs early (or 3pm) with our Halloween Party Ticket?

Yes

Wow, this announcement came early this year! Disney must have been reading these boards! And Halloween Time starts early, too! So that means that HM will go down earlier in Aug., too.

Probably around August 20 would be my guess.

After seeing the price for the Pixar Pier event I was nervous that they would raise the price for this exponentially! So I’m glad it’s a reasonable increase.

I’m even more glad that it’s going to be in DL again :)

Honestly last year this party nearly destroyed California Adventure. Disneyland was fun and relaxed and manageable the entire night. We went over to check out California adventure at one point and I’ve never seen more suffocating miserable crowds in all my time of going to Disney. We couldn’t see anything and couldn’t wait to get out and back to DL but it took a lot of our energy. I think the combination of normal crowds and party crowds was too much.

Wow! I am shocked at how early we got information and how early tickets will be going on sale. I am also thoroughly shocked that the party didn't switch over to DCA. Makes me wonder about next year though and when SWGE is coming online...
