DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

He loves Daffy and Tweety Pie, Bugs he likes more for the other characters (Sam) He was really laughing at Wile E, as he was trying to guess what would happen when he was setting up the traps...he called a few of them. I've trained both of them to do a pretty good "Duck Season/Wabbit Season" with me holding one of G's blasters as Elmer Fudd. We may go on tour.

Good to hear that the shows haven't lost their ability to amuse. :)

Ah man. I'm sure there is a UN rule about hours like that.

Funny you should say that. I did an interview a month or so ago regarding just that. As ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) is looking to standardize work hours for air navigation operational staff worldwide.

Good evening Gents! I don't know how many years since I have posted here. But, trying to sell a DVC reservation for the race weekend and apparently I have to have a certain number of posts in the last 6 months

Welcome back Randy!

Hello Strangers! Welcome Back!

Morning guys. DW is on the way to the airport to fly down to WDW this am. I'll head over and catch a flight tonight after work, if the weather and everything cooperates. Hoping for a few good days down there with the fam.

Hope all are well.

Fair Winds and Safe Travels My Friend!

That is so cool. At least I think so, I've never had Makers Mark.
Good mixer Bourbon. Lovely in a
I think he meant a quarter of a 1/10 of a percent.

But, I could be wrong, because 91.4% of all statistics are made up.
You were part of our conversations today Doc. The curly haired Ninja was complaining that she got an aeroplane "again" in her Kinder egg, and I told her there was a man in Atlanta that would be very happy if he got that. She said "He can have it". So there you go mate.

Hey Mike, did I read it correctly that you have a Markers Mark Barrel on reserve?

My DW did the Ambassador thing as well. She likes the free gifts that get mailed to her every so often.

Feel free to use us to up that post count.

Evening Gents,

Been busy volunteering at the 17U/15U Girls National Basketball championship so I haven't had a lot of time to check in. And I also had my laptop decide it's motherboard was done last night so I had to go to an old backup notebook and it is very slowwwwww. I read back a couple of and I see not much changed since Monday

.

Youngest dd went to freshman orientation last week and the HS basketball coach approached her to join team. She is 5'11" and tallest among varsity players. So, she's playing basketball now.

Fun times this morning. Introduced the kids to the comic genius that is Wile E Coyote.

brilliant. I like all those looney tunes cartoons, with bugs bunny being my favorite.

You've been neglected.

It's a good bourbon to drink neat.

With the talk of bourbon and guys heading to DaWorld, wanted to pass along some real good places for specific hard / impossible to get bourbon I've found at WDW. Knob Creek Disney Select is only available at DaWorld. Have found it it AK at Nomad Lounge, at Abracadabar on Boardwalk and Brown Derby is the place for it apparently at HS but they were out of it the day I stopped in. Haven't cracked the code on where it is served in Epcot or DS yet. Also really good is Colonel eh Taylor Single Barrel which can be found at Jock Lindsey's at DS. Both of these should be enjoyed either neat or on the rocks (served over a big single ice block). If I shared this already my bad, but I am 5 weeks away from Food & Wine trip as part of me an the Mrs 25th Anniversary Year celebration and I'm very much looking forward to a relaxing trip with my best gal and enjoying a few bourbons - cheers!
I'm a week away from my first trip in August heat. I decided to try it this time of year because it's harder for the girls to miss school in my preferred times April and October. I'm sure I will enjoy the trip, not sure how I'll enjoy the weather. But I have afternoon breaks planned.
We did mid July and as long as you break up the days some (midday pool) we were fine. Also eat a late lunch / early dinner to get into AC or in the shade.

Have a great trip and say hi to the place for us will ya?

Sounds like a blast - enjoy! I sure do miss those days....................

Sorry to hear that  if you like bourbon it is a good one and reasonably priced. I like it on the rocks (one big cube) mostly, neat on a cool / cold night by a fire pit, as a manahattan (CJ style) and mixed with ginger ale or ginger beer on ice for a hot summer afternoon.

Good deal for her, hope she enjoys it.

Hadn't tried the Knob Creek Disney Select, but will remember to try it. I have the bourbon bar in a local restaurant (not a chain) which features over 100 different bourbons. My nearby liquor store also has a good selection, and they also serve pours by the glass (up to 3 beers, wine, liquor or combination), so I've been able to try a lot there, including that Pappy Van Winkle. I'm less likely to drink bourbon at WDW since I have a great and cheaper local selection. I miss enjoying a cigar with bourbon.

As for the basketball, she played back in middle school. However, I think she was doing this more for conditioning than anything else. It feels good to be recruited.

Blanton’s is my go to neat, and Old Weller Antique.

Old Weller 12(?) year is a really good pour, and cheaper than the Pappy Van Winkle.

I reached out to Andriana on messenger. I then went to Cj's Facebook page and saw The Post dated 8/1/18, it was from his nephew saying goodbye to Uncle Cj. Guys it is with a very heavy heart to tell you this, it looks like Cj died. I haven't heard back from Andriana yet, really don't know if I will, but if I do, I will let you know. It has gotten very dusty in here, he was a very good friend to Jodi and me.

Oh my!!! I looked on FB as well. That is so sad. He was such a great guy. We only were able to meet him once and had lunch at the ESPN Club to settle on a bet for UK Florida basketball games. We were there for a very long time as it was an enjoyable conversation. He was so proud of his daughter, which is what I will always take with me.
