I love credit cards so much!

I'm gonna ditch southwest and do a delta flight home from MCO if it isn't a terrible idea. Flight time is perfect and is nonstop. Price better than SW if you can believe it and Delta participates in DCL onboard baggage thing. I could wait and see if SW comes down, but that is risky with the holidays. I never fly anything but SW so I am clueless.

Here are options:

1)Book on delta and get main cabin 11k points each. I have 118k marriott points I'd have to transfer over. But DH has 2500. So if I combine first I get an extra 30k points, right. That would give me 120k marriott = 50k delta, which buys me 4 seats. I have 14k MRs I could send from amex for another seat. The other seat I'd book on the UR portal for 8946 points in basic economy or just pay the $135.
-how long does the marriott-marriott transfer take
-how long for marriott-delta
-how long for amex-delta

2)Use URs for a 6 seats. I'd probably do 2 at the main cabin rate of 10,613 for myself and DD2, and the other 4 at the basic economy rate of 8946 URs. So a total of 57,010 URs.

Am I missing a better way to do this?

I don't know about Marriott to Marriott or Marriott to Delta but I know that when it was SPG it would take a couple days. Amex to Delta I don't know what you mean. Do your or DH have a Delta Amex? For the baggage fees you might want to get one just for that. Increased bonus right now until November.

I would not use UR's. But I am not only a #Deltahostage but also a #URhoarder.

How neat, we'll be there the 25th-30th! Then headed to the Fort for 4 more nights. I'd say if you see a crazy lady with a couple of kids hanging off of her, that'd be me. But that's prob half the people at Disney lol.

We are there the 23-28th. I am hoping since right before Halloween maybe not as busy as middle of month or around holiday weekend. I don't know if the kids will be hanging off of me the whole time since we have the grandparents this time to share the joy but I am sure I will be the "crazy lady" at some point!

Hi Friends! I am home from my TX trip. I had a wonderful time celebrating my Memaw's 90th bday! It's hard to believe she's made it this long. She has outlived everyone else in her family going back quite a ways in the ancestry. She's a tough lady and has been through so much in her life. She practically raised me (my mom was teen mom who took a long time to grow up and I never had a father) so my grandma was my stability and my rock

I used the RMN offer at Walgreens and bought a GC. Worked like a charm

Anyways, anything new going on in the churning world?

It sounds like the Chase bonus delays are still ongoing? No change there?

Anything new with the Marriott N&F packages?

Any new card offers that came out? I want to look into Hilton now that I am back and almost done with the Marriott biz and spg biz. Y'all I have spent almost the entire 5k on the spg biz and half the 3k on the Marriott in a month! One month!!! I think I need financial counseling...

My dd18 got the 'no longer being considered' email from the DCP today. We expected it. 1000% expected it but it was still so disappointing. So, on to applying for the fall when those apps open. She's determined so I know she will get there!

@Artygal90 I looked all over the SW gates at HOU and did not see anyone from SW trying to get sign-ups from the card. Looked again at Denver when deboarding and didn't see anyone. For a new card that SW toured the country with, they do not seem to really be pushing it that hard.

Hm that seems silly. But the promo started 9/1 and only got notified now, maybe it's rolling out in batches? I checked the Chase Pay app and don't see it advertised so have no idea how anyone would have known about it until the email. Hopefully more reports roll in as people get the emails.

Agreed! I thought it was strange that it started on 9/1 but I only got that email today. If I get an email for the CSP I’ll update here.

Update: I got the email for the Best Buy/Tock/eBags ChasePay offer for my CSP this evening. Coincidentally I just used it on my CFU today. I wasn’t expecting to get it on the CSP, but I’m sure I’ll end up taking advantage of it before the month ends lol.

They had the booth in BWI when I went through on Sat morning. I think I have seen a booth at BWI almost every time we for our departure flight but since we typically take a late flight home, there are usually not there when we get home.

A sure way to have something break down in your house is to get a new credit card!!!

Between the purchase of my new washer and dryer - $2250.33 and the redo of my laundry area plumbing that I've been putting off, (admittedly) $750 for the plumber, I have $3000.33 in spend on my SPG Lux. Add to that a few months of DVC dues and 4 months of Medicare premium, and I'm just shy of $4500. So, now I have until November 23 (give or take a day) to spend an additional $500.

And I was afraid of taking on a $5K spend....

Now, I'm ready for another card by the end of September easily, but I do want to get back under 5/24 and I'm 7/24 right now. Looks like middle of next year. So business cards it must be.

I guess I will start looking at MR's although I do have 4 Amex cards....3 SPG and one old retired MR card. The other possibility is once I get one more Amex is to cool my jets and relax a bit. I've gotten 5 cards in the last 3 months - 2 Biz and 3 personal.

So I got the reminder email from SW on 8/29 that my anniversary points will be posting. How soon after this email should I see them on my SW account?

And I see the AF is already posted to my Chase account though the statement doesn't close until 9/21. Just waiting for the right time to close this account...
