The ABC's of Sauntering Through WDW- J is for: Just Like That, It's Judiciously Ended! (4/23)

Wow! I was so far behind. 10 days and four pages. OK, now I get the size matters reference. I really was behind.

But! You're all caught up now! :D And it's going to take a bit to catch up on getting my photos off the cards and uploaded to LR and actually write something. :)

And now you're on vacation!

Well... I was. Now I'm back to the daily grind.

It's not that she's not well, but as my thread unfolds you'll see that things aren't quite right. We think that it has to do with a new medication, she started a few months ago.

And now it's my turn to be unbelievably behind, Alison. But I'll catch up as I can this week.

That's not pathetic. Fran says that I am brain dead after 9PM.

Awake and functioning are 2 very different things. ;)

:crazy2:  where is the puke emoji

So, kale is to Alison as bananas are to Liesa.

I think I gave you that information in my last update.

I think you probably did but I missed it or wasn't paying close enough attention for it to have truly stuck. Sorry, Alison!

I'll have a glass of wine, thank you very much!

Oh, did I not mention there is a fully stocked cellar just down thata way?

So I saw this quote about sauntering and thought I would share - It's from John Muir, speaking of the Muir Woods down by San Francisco, I believe. He was speaking of the origins of the word "Sauntering" which started with the trecks in the Holy Land back in the bible days:
"And so they became known as sainte-terre-ers or saunterers. Now these mountains are our Holy Land, and we ought to saunter through them reverently, not 'hike' through them." - John Muir
That is fascinating and so appropriate for referring to exploring Disney. I really love that! Thanks, Tammie for sharing that.

Safe travels!! I hope the trip was all you wished for and more!

It was an amazing trip and I also took a very special photo JUST FOR YOU!! ;)

Not sure if you saw my other post(s), but FL is on my HOME list very soon.

I did see, but was most definitely off my social media and devices except a couple of necessary times during the trip. But, I am back now, ready to face life again. So.... you got the opportunity to move and make this big change! You must be so excited for this move and to begin a new chapter. Do you know when you'll be heading down there?

And now it's my turn to be unbelievably behind, Alison. But I'll catch up as I can this week.

Well I am still behind. It's a good thing that you and @pkondz have been off the grid, I've been able to catch up on some other people's threads while yours were dormant!

So, kale is to Alison as bananas are to Liesa.

I guess so. Really?

I think you probably did but I missed it or wasn't paying close enough attention for it to have truly stuck. Sorry, Alison!

It was about the live actors in Pirates, I think you commented on that, and were glad to hear confirmation that it was happening.

I is for: Is it REALLY Over?! (or are we just getting started?)
Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end. And the end of a Disney vacation especially sucks.

Especially.

Luckily for us, the good news is that there are ways to cope and one of them is by sharing all of the wonderful adventures I had with all of you. And trust me, I had a lot of them. So, let's consider this a good beginning, not a depressing ending. In almost more ways than I can count, it was a trip of
FIRSTS. So, to set the stage and to whet your appetites for things to come, here is a small compilation of some of the new ways I enjoyed Disney.

--- With no small amount of drama, I got my first AP!! Trust me.... it was not supposed to be that hard. I also got my first TIW card. WOOHOO!!

--- While it wasn't my first MNSSHP, I did quite a few new things this year. Super-de-duperdee excited to share those photos.

--- I ate embarrassing amounts of small plates at F&W trying an unparalleled 12 new dishes (in addition to a couple of repeats)!! A round of applause might be in order.

--- I went on a photo scavenger hunt personally crafted by Yours Truly. Was I successful in finding an A-Z in every park? Stick around and find out!

--- A staggering line up of 7 (not a typo) new restaurants hosted my widening figure. (I'd fit right into the HM elevator if the room stretched sideways.)

--- I stayed at a new resort to me. A pretty one too!

--- I visited a brand new park area and had a first ride on a new ride.

--- Generally a healthy person, I was rather surprised?, disturbed?, upset?, embarrassed? that I was privileged to experience a first medical incident. It was not fun. Or funny. But makes for an entertaining TR. :scared1:

--- I enjoyed a new trend in park touring with some fun Bounding outfits that I threw together over the last months.

And now, I invite each of you to follow along as I recount the tales of adventure, drama, thrills, laughs, and lows of an Autumn Visit to Disney in the Alphabetical style of Steppesister.

It is also true that all good things take time. For those of you who've been reading my tales of adventure for a while now, you know that they can take a while. So please, I've re-stocked the fridge with beer, the wine cellar is amply diverse, and there's plenty of space on the couch. Please fill in all the available space, move all the way to the end of your row, cozy up with one of the fleece throws and make yourself comfy. No one's in a hurry here. It's a saunter, not commando.

This time.

Sorry to disappoint you.

And now, a small teaser of a completely randomly selected photo. Just for fun...

I was happy to accommodate you... being that I was in Disney. ;)

Bananas... gross. <frantically searches for a vomit emoji>

Ah yes!! And it didn't disappoint! LOVED the additions! ::yes::

In the interest of catching up, I'll just say "welcome back" and grab myself a glass of Chardonnay, and take my spot on the couch here and get settled in for the tales!

You chose well!!! Chardonnay is quite nice. ;) Did you choose the Lion King fleece, the Frozen fleece or Cars fleece? LOL!

Oh my goodness, what a TR teaser!! I'm very anxious to see what's in store! (And concerned to find out about your medical incident! I hope you and yours were okay and that all is well now!)

Missed the planning, but really looking forward to the details of the trip! I'm headed to WDW in December for my first (will I regret it) visit during Christmastime. Hopefully I will find fun and food among the crowds.

I’m so glad you’re here for all the fun! Never too late to join in around here.

I’ve done a Christmas party, but never during December. So I can’t comment on how busy or chaotic it will be. I CAN say that I hope you won’t have any regrets at all. I also know that even during the busiest times there are ways to have fun at Disney.

Maybe find some of those things they offer that are a bit off the beaten path…?

@Ladyfish77

ETA: TYPO!! I meant that I CAN say I hope you don’t have any regrets!! Not can’t!!
