***Official Candlelight Processional Dining Package Watch - 2018***

So this is my first time doing the CP. I just got a reservation at Via Napoli (4:10) dinner and then the show at 6:45. Will that give me enough time to eat and then do I go straight to the theater to wait in line for a good seat for my show? I'm travelling by myself. Thanks :)

You have time to eat. I think your timing to get in line depends on what time you are done eating. I would say allow at least 30 minutes before the show starts. more if the narrator is popular.

At least Italy is right beside the theater so I was thinking I'd have until 5:45 comfortably to eat and then I will go in line for the 6:45 show. I just don't want to spend the extra money and not get in to see the show.

Hello!!! So we’re in a bit of a pickle here. I waited too long to book the candlelight processional dinner package for one of our Epcot nights, because I was waiting for the announcement of the guest. As it turns out we don’t really know this person so I am hoping to get seating for one of the nights that Gary Senise is presenting instead, and possibly switching up our days or going to Epcot after DHS.
So far I haven’t had any luck. Is this something that we should keep trying for? Meaning do spots open up closer to the date?
This isn’t a must-have and certainly won’t ruin our trip if we don’t get it but it’s a nice-to-have so if there is a chance, I will keep trying.
TIA for any advice!

Spots do open, however you want one of the most popular narrators , so that makes it hard to count on. You can keep looking, and hopefully something will open up.

I have two questions here. One is what is the latest Candlelight Processional ressie? The latest I could score is 5:40pm.

The other is not really for this thread, but I am sure someone can answer. It's about getting to the Candlelight Processional. I have a conference that I am attending in St. Pete Beach, near Tampa, that ends at 3:30pm. Is it feasible that I could make it to a 5:40pm reservation? That's two hours without traffic and google says it will take 1H45M. Seeing the CLP and Holiday Illuminations is a bucket list thing for me and I was excited when I realized that maybe I can do this. I am an AP so I am not worried about the cost. I know I can see the CLP without a ressie, but I don't want to spend my short time there standing in line.

I will also be by myself in Disney for the first time. :(

Thanks!

I cannot say for sure, however i am worried about your timeing. I think that if this is the only time you could get for the CP package, I wonder if standby for the 8 Pm show woudl be a better option.

I would leave the conference a little early if you want to make it. Traffic is not your friend

I don't think you'll make it. You might get to Orlando in 1 hr 45 min, but traffic around WDW is horrible and you can easily get stuck in a traffic jam just outside the bubble. Factor in the time it will take you to park, get to the entrance, go through security, and then walk all the way back to whatever restaurant you have and there's just no way you'll make it in time for a 5:40 ADR.

Thanks everyone! I think I will keep the ADR and take my chances. I wish I could leave it early, but the work conference is more important. LOL

Just remember, depending on how late you are, they may not seat you and can charge you the no-show fee and you would not have the seats for CP either.

Are you set on a package? I like knowing that I have a reserved seat for the CP, however I have not felt deprived if I just stand outside the pavilion and watch from there. I do not even bother with standby, I just pick my spot and stay put. The view is lovely as is the sound. And no stress.

I didn't realize you can watch from outside. I kinda thought they would push people away from doing that. I wouldn't mind doing that. I am set on a package. I have two planned. If I cannot make it the first day I will cancel the second one. I do know I will be charged if I no show, but I can also show up late and hope they will seat me.

Good Luck! The show is lovely!

Do you know that if you don’t show up for a CP reservation, you are charged the entire meal price? (Not just $10 like the others). I know this for a fact as last year when we went, the restaurant never checked us in and the next morning I found a $250+ charge on my credit card from Disney.

I will have to check on that. I will still show up, but I might be late.

I hope you found one - I dropped one in just the last day or two so I know they do go!
