Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I wanted to report back with some thoughts and pictures from my weekend at the Contemporary Atrium Club last weekend. The Contemporary has never held a ton of appeal for me theming-wise and so we have stayed elsewhere. I thought I'd try it since the focus of our trip was MNSSHP and EMM at MK, making the walking path to MK key. Well, I absolutely loved the Contemporary and the Atrium Club!!! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The lounge is on the 12th floor, adjacent to the elevator, and all of the room are easily accessible from there. We were in a TPV room, about as far as you can get down the hall from the lounge, and it was a very short walk. After my complaints about how far everything was from the BC CL, this was a great treat!

The lounge is beautiful, the furnishings seem new, and it was always spotless. The view is stunning. The CL staff were some of the friendliest we've encountered. And the food was great!!

We were given welcome drinks when we arrived (a fun, delicious take on a Moscow Mule for me, and a take on a Shirley Temple for DD). Here's a pic of my welcome drink and a couple of the lounge.

Breakfast was fairly standard- oatmeal, cereals, various pastries, sliced cheeses and meats, fruit, bagels/english muffins/toast, little jars of yogurt with granola, warm sticky buns, and excellent deviled eggs. Coffee was good, and there was a Nespresso machine. We had no trouble finding seating even though it's not a huge lounge.

Afternoon snacks were nice, too. Some pictures are below. They were the same every day. The cookies were warm and the dips for the homemade chips were great, too. I'd say there were fewer options than BWI CL or RPC, but they were solid choices. There was a fridge with soda, chocolate milk, and juice boxes available all day. Bottled water and sparkling water (plus wine or beer) were available by request during the day.

We only made it to evening apps and desserts one night, but they were excellent. I'd put the evening apps on par with GF RPC (fewer choices but high quality), below BWI CL (since you can't beat chef-prepared apps!), and above Poly and BC CLs.

The apps featured a nice cheese and charcuterie platter, veggies, a cold farro salad, an arugula salad with grilled peaches (YUM), corn chowder, and amazing fairly large portions of seared salmon with bacon and brussels sprouts. There were really nice sea salt rolls with butter, rolls with PB&J cups, and chicken nuggets which DD devoured. Lots of beer options, red and white wine, and Prosecco. Here are a couple pics- not the best pictures, but you'll get the idea!

Desserts included cookies, California Grill macaroons (!), Oreo rice crispy treats, and little mousse cups. There was wine, Prosecco and cordials available. We took plates back to our room and watched Happy Ever After from our balcony. Perfection!! I would highly recommend the Atrium Club. We're heading back to the Poly CL next month for our annual post-Thanksgiving trip, but I will definitely put the Contemporary on my list for future stays. DD declared it her favorite- she loved the views, the monorail running through the resort, and the quick walk to MK.

We also enjoyed the ease of the pool, which was never crowded, and had a nice water slide and ample shade. It was so easy to get to the pool from our room- no long slog like we had at the BC. The pool and adjacent beach on Bay Lake were so relaxing it felt miles away from the parks. I'll leave you with a last picture taken from the beach! Glad to answer any questions!!

@IceQueen182 - ugh, you are making me regret my decision to switch from CR to GF on my weekend trip a few weeks ago. But, great pics and glad you enjoyed CR Atrium! A lot of what you mention are things we have experienced/enjoyed in our past Atrium club trips, so I’m glad to see things still going strong.

Thanks for sharing!

It's a tough call choosing between GF and CR! I'm really glad we tried something new this trip. Hope you had an amazing time at GF!

Your YC pictures are making me reconsider whether we should stay there instead of BC this summer (since we love Stormalong Bay when the weather is hot!). :)

:rolleyes1..........so all this recent talk of YC and our trip coming up soon the pressure has gotten to me, I had to do it and I would have like to do maybe 4 but only thing available to connect to our current dates at GF SL was 2 nights but I had to.......book them!!!!!!!!!!!

:dancer::jumping1::banana::cool2::thumbsup2

Yacht and Beach Club both have been toward the top of our list for years and it’s been over a year since we have been back!!!

*Chicken nuggets roll call...

-GF - check
-CR - check
-YC - NO

Looks to me like the only logical regret here should be YC :P:darth:

I normally do stay at CR for a fall MNSSHP weekend. And you know how I was re-paid for my decision to mix it up and go with GF? A nearly one hour post-MNSSHP trip back to GF! Blah!

That's what I get for discount chasing. :-)

I have only stayed BC CL for one night and that was a couple of years ago so don't know if I really have a total grasp of the place. I see people comment on the distance to the lounge, pool, friendliness of CMs, etc. I don't really know how YC compares to those attributes in comparison, but we like the overall setup at the YC. The CL floor isn't terribly big...our room was somewhat far from the lounge but no different than, say, the furthest room from the Poly lounge which isn't much at all. Short walk down to the pool. Everything just seems nice and compact (I know some non-CL floor rooms can be much further away).

We stayed at BWI CL last weekend, in garden cottage 1201. Loved the room, wasn’t crazy about the hotel layout (too hard to get from room to parks and back). Getting to the lounge wasn’t as bad as we had feared, and even the “long” walk from the elevator was no worse than an end-of-hall room to elevator walk we’ve had other places. Lousy bus service, and the extended walk to HS was brutal in the heat.

Food was the best part of the lounge, but we weren’t wowed. Breakfast was okay, very similar from day to day, and not vastly different from any of the other CL we’ve done. Sunday omelets were tasty once we made it through the long line. Daytime snacks were okay, again pretty similar to what we’ve seen elsewhere. Excellent candy selection, which we didn’t try due to an excess of trick or treating at MNSSHP. :-) Dinner apps were the standout, with a delicious steak one night and shrimp and mussels the other night we stopped by. Desserts were plentiful, but not anything we’d normally choose if left to our own devices. Very similar to the standard dessert party offerings, and not much in the way of savoury desserts. No ice cream, but lots of cute mini-dessert cups, some Halloween themed.

CL CMs were friendly enough, but only Sam was memorable in her service. We arrived around 1pm by ME. No one met the bus. We had to wait in the front checkin desk line to get someone to walk us up to the fourth floor. At the CL desk, Sam did our checkin, which included “encouraging” mousekeeping to get our room ready sooner so we could drop bags off and change before MNSSHP. She was great, very helpful. Other CMs at the desk and in the lounge were pleasant but didn’t go above and beyond in any way. They cleared plates, offered drinks, smiled and said hello. They were fine, no negative attitudes or anything like that, but really no phenomenal service either.

The lounge was smaller than I expected, and it was often crowded due to the busy long weekend. Had to wait for a table a couple of times, and once when we found the last available table but needed another chair, the lounge CM we asked told us to just try to get one from another table, that what was there was all there was. She did not offer to find one for us. That was kind of disappointing, to have to hunt for seats like we’re at a CS restaurant rather than in the CL lounge at a very expensive deluxe hotel.

Overall, the stay was fine but I found I missed BC/YC, our usual haunt. We’d stay again if the rate was good and BC/YC was full, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. We’re trying WL CL in December, so it’ll be interesting to see how they stack up, and if I miss being around the lake. It should be nice with the holiday decorations up, so really looking forward to that.

I know, I am so glad we have the Contemporary option. (They also have a value and moderate choice as well.)
This will be my first time staying there so I so excited. I actually already looked into the hospitality suite and it is booked for our dates. Great minds!:rotfl2:
I think we would like a better view and not of parking lots. I will take a look at the CR maps. Thanks! Any first hand experiences in the Garden view wing would be greatly appreciated. :flower1:
We were in a deluxe room in the garden wing this past June and loved it. We were on the first floor, facing the water. The room was huge to begin with, then having the sliders open, patio and all the grass was extra awesome. It was quiet and so easy to get to the room. So convenient and didn’t miss CL at all. That said if we were far side and facing a parking lot, wouldn’t have loved it as much.

We’d all happily stay in the garden wing again.

Question for whoever has been at a CL resort in the past few months! Last we were there, they were transitioning all the other resorts to those pump soap dispensers, and when I checked at the Atrium Club and the Regatta club last we were at those they had told us that the Club Level rooms would not be getting dispensers like that and most likely the deluxe resorts in general. Is this still holding true? We are staying at WLOFC & GFRPC this time around and not until December.

TIA!

We just returned from staying at GF RPC and also stayed a few nights in a theme park view room. The dispensers were not there. I like having my own products to use, so I hope this trend at the deluxe resorts will hold true.
