How loud is Raglan Road? (Spelling fixed!)

We've never eaten there but have peaked our heads in to watch the dancing. A lot of people end up doing that because you can hear the entertainment from outside.

I have always been a fan of Raglan Road. With that being said I had a terrible time on our last visit. I was pregnant, it was VERY loud and my fish & chips were awful.

As everyone noted it is loud, but if your niece is 5 I will say this, we took DD1 when she was 4 and she got to go on stage with the other kids and dance and loved it. Plus the dancers were down on the floor before and after their performance talking to her and she was in heaven. So if you niece likes to dance or isn't shy about getting on stage with other kids, this may be a great spot for her. Noise aside.

It is amazingly loud and I hated it. I hope the staff all wear hearing protection because that level of noise can’t be healthy. I think if the concern that it might be too loud has crossed your mind, then it’s definitely going to be too loud for you.

I must preface this by saying I absolutely love the food at Raglan Road. That being said, I now would only work it into the rotation if it's early enough in the day. I know the entertainment is the reason a lot of people go there, but I just could not handle the mind- numbingly loud ambiance after a full day in the parks. We were there for a 7pm ADR for my dad's birthday. We were quite happy to get seated in one of the little side rooms, hoping that would be quieter. Shortly after we ordered, a group of dancers came over and set a plywood platform down right at the end of our table. I don't know if it was just a long day... but the stomping on wood literally made my head want to explode. It was the kind of loud that makes it hurt deep in your ears. We endured that through most of the meal. We never interacted with each other during the meal, because we really couldn't have a conversation. We were all on the dining plan, so dessert was included. We actually asked if we could have the dessert brought to us packaged to go. Everyone in our party just wanted to get out of there.

I will say.... in any discussions on the Disboards I have seen about Raglan Road, I have never heard anyone else have this complaint. However, this was my first trip north of 40, and Space Mountain (which I have always loved) dang near killed me. Maybe it was just a bad week for me.... or I just got really old, really fast!
I loved your descriptive experience at raglan road...it gave me a chuckle. :lmao: I can totally relate to this...I noticed a change once I hit my 40's. And trust me, i cant handle Space Mt either. Too rough.

:lmao: This post made me laugh. Can you imagine if the staff were walking around with those heavy duty noise cancelling headset? :rotfl: I agree that its not healthy, but I cant see them wearing earplugs or this headset.

Pretty dang loud, but oh so much fun! Food is good, too. This is not a place for you to have a quiet conversation with your table mates.
