Pixie Dust, or Pixie MOUNTAIN? A Grand (Roy) Disney TR *NEW TR LINK 8/11!*

It's so much fun to read about your experience. There's so much negativity with Disney these days, raising prices, crowds, construction, etc. and it's great to read about a totally fun pixie-dust filled trip. Love your pics and your writing and looking forward to more!
Well thank you :goodvibes And you're right, these positive, pixie dust moments are few and far between. It's unfortunate that a regular ol' Disney vacation isn't special enough anymore lots of times to lots of people and many don't feel they've gotten their moneys' worth or whatever unless they get something "extra". This made us feel SO special! This may sound weird but it kind of made all the thousands and thousands of dollars we've handed over to Disney seem.......worth it :rolleyes1 Steve may not feel that way lol but it was great to feel "loved" by the place I love!

Oh my goodness! I am in love!!!!! I would never want to leave those beautiful rooms! Can't wait to see more pictures!
That's how Steve felt! If I wasn't such a "go, go, go" person in Disney or our trip was longer I probably would have spent more time in the room, but I had things I wanted to get done! It was hard leaving every day though, and hard coming back at night knowing another day of that wonderfulness was gone.

Oh man. I want to live there! So jealous
 So did we! We may have pretended we did

Even discounted I don’t think that would ever fit into my budget :laughing::laughing:
Right? It would have to be like a 75% discount!

two for you and 0.5 for Steve?
Um, almost :rotfl2: I told him there was no need for us to share a bathroom with 2 people in the room and 2.5 baths, so he pretty much used the 2nd full bathroom! I let him in the master bath a few times though, I'm nice like that.

I hope you booked it for them with a Roy Suite bounceback offer :P
That Roy bounceback would have had to have been FREE RESORT lol!

I'm late in.. wholy pixie dust... very nice upgrade!
:welcome: glad you're here! Yes, it was most definitely a pixie dust filled trip pixiedust: and an upgrade SO beyond anything I ever imagined getting!

Well, if it's anything like my September trip, I'll get there and my itinerary will go out the window! :rotfl2:
That's ALL of our trips! But we like it that way.

What's yours look like?
So of course I'm still up in the air with a few things lol, but right now I have it like this:
11/17: HS mid-afternoon, dinner at 50's
11/18: MK, DS in the evening to see the Xmas tree trail
11/19: we're going to Universal for Ricky :ssst: I feel like I'm cheating!
11/20: AK later in the day
11/21: MK later in the day, staying for PM EMH
11/22: not sure what we're doing in the earlier part of the day, I have a few things in mind. Boma dinner at 3 and then AK
11/23: HS, then Epcot
11/24: MK

So do we match up :bitelip::bitelip:

Following along. Ive enjoyed reading your past reports so I'm sure this one will be great as well.
 Thanks for coming along again :)

On a side note, my daughter is scheduled for ACL surgery December 10th. She tore it snowboarding over spring break and we went 4 months back and forth with the doctor before insurance approved an MRI.
Ugh, believe me 100% when I say I feel for you and her. I assume she's normally a very active/athletic kid? And insurance SUCKS. We're going through the school insurance since he was hurt there (both times :sad2:) and they're even worse than normal health insurance.

he said we could delay surgery until her Christmas break as long as she was fitted for her brace and wore it until then.
Ricky's surgeon doesn't believe in bracing AFTER surgery, and the first time he tore it he didn't brace him until surgery. But it was less than 2 months from injury to surgery. The 2nd time he tore it in early April and we decided the surgery wouldn't be until July 20th so he could take driver's ed and enjoy at least half the summer, so the surgeon did suggest a brace. Best of luck to your daughter! It's not easy, and while there is pain I have to say I feel the recovery is worse. But being so young it's really not an option to not have the surgery :(

I'm late to the party -- but that is a heck of an upgrade!
:welcome: I hope you enjoy my report! It certainly was  I still can't believe it when I tell people, "we stayed in the Roy Disney Suite" !

I bet it's a combination of scanning your MB to get on MDE, as well as the hotel likely uses the long range RFID to let them know when you actually enter the building.
Yes I'm sure that's it, it's cool and scary at the same time lol.

The suite is gorgeous. You definitely hit the Pixie Dust jack pot!!!! You and Steve totally deserved it!!!
:thanks: I think we do too, especially after all the crap this year. And it IS gorgeous and ridiculously big!! I still can't believe it's only for FOUR people!

I love all the pictures that I've seen so far. This TV is really intriguing - does the art roll up to reveal the TV?
::yes:: Yes! There was a button on the remote and when you pushed it (well, when Steve pushed it, that became his "toy" lol), the tapestry went up to reveal the TV :thumbsup2

Did you ever find out? Just lucky? I always wonder how the mouse decides who to upgrade...
Nope. IDK if they ever actually tell you, unless it's a situation where you had a horrible experience so they upgrade you, like you walk in your regular room and it's filthy, or it floods, or something like that. I still have my suspicions and for the most part I think it was either because of my "job", or because our year has sucked so far and the universe just decided it was time to give us a little something :cloud9:

:tink:Wowzers!:dogdance: Too bad it was only 4 days!! I always want to stay longer, BUT that suite would make it EVEN harder to leave!!!!
Steve kept saying why couldn't this happen when we're staying for a week

Holy crap, I'm drooling already over the suite! I say just spam us with pictures, lol! I love all the details, like photos, and yes I would think of Mary Poppins every time I looked at those umbrellas!
I would, and then it would be page upon page of no words, just pics lol. But believe me there are tons more coming! The details were cool and of course we didn't notice them all at once so we kept finding them during our (way too short) stay.

I just don't understand why you can't fit the suite in your budget for those poor deprived boys of yours for Thanksgiving! :rolleyes1:laughing::rotfl2:
:rotfl:maybe if they sell their computers, video games, fancy expensive sneakers, etc., we can put that $$ towards the R.D. suite!
but somehow I think they'd say nah, we're ok with a regular room :P

Pretty sure my first apartment was smaller than the entryway
Mine definitely was smaller, it was a cottage and I think the whole 2 floors were the size of the living room!

And so happy for all of us that we get to live vicariously through your report to see it for ourselves :thumbsup2
:goodvibes
Although some of you out there are probably cursing me, like when I see reports of people who got to stay in the castle and I'm excited to read those stories but mad that they got to stay there :snooty:

I am back and trying to catch up on everyones TR!
Welcome back, I can't wait to hear about your trip :yay:

Seriously, it's a whole apartment!
It's like TWO apartments lol, we kept getting lost!

So, we went to Geyseur Point for dinner our last night and seriously, we walked into the lobby and we both just took in deep breaths and just said how much we love Wilderness Lodge!!!!
Did you enjoy Geyser Point?
I love the feeling I get when I walk in that lobby :cloud9: I just feel.........home, as silly as it sounds. I just changed the 2nd half of our Nov. stay from CSR to the WL and I'm so excited to be going back!

Wow that room is just insane!! I dont think I would know what to do with myself! haha
When we first walked in to it we honestly didn't know what to do either! We just kept walking from room to room, amazed and lost lol, wondering what the hell we did to end up here!

I'm glad you all enjoyed the few pictures of the Roy Disney suite I took!

Yeah, like those are the only ones I have :rotfl2: Like I said there are PLENTY more where those came from and I'll be posting them all, but before I do so I'm going to move on to our first TS meal of the trip.

Good-Bye My Shroomy Friend
Arrival Day, Part 4

We could NOT get over this suite. We were in shock, and in love, and full of excitement and gratitude. Steve doesn't do the DIS but I tell him when I read about people who get the upgrades and all the pixie dust FP's so of course we both wonder why it's never us - don't we all?? And now it was :goodvibes:goodvibes
As much as we both wanted to enjoy our surroundings, we were starving and we did have other Disney things we wanted to do! One was saying good-bye to a friend we'd made in March, dinner at Artist Point. By now you all know that come December it will no longer be a signature restaurant but a character meal. With pretty cool characters I admit, but I for one am mourning the loss of a signature we only discovered a few months ago and loved. I don't have high hopes for the food, although the menu does sound better than what I expected. I hadn't planned on AP for this trip, I was thinking more for Nov. with the kids because they both loved it in March, but when I heard it wouldn't be open in Nov. I quick booked it for Steve and I.

Once we were called in to the surprisingly (or not) packed Artist Point, we got right to ordering. But first, the bread:

IMG_8591.JPG

All my dinner pics are dark because the restaurant was dark, but the bread was a really good sourdough multigrain with Disney's wonderful sea salt butter. The fantastic bread combined with our ravenous appetites means we both had like 3 pieces.

We had our drinks already from TL and I knew exactly what I wanted for my app; the star of the restaurant, the main reason for our Last Supper:
Smoked Mushroom Bisque
Chicory Pistou, Sunflower Seed, Salsify

IMG_8593.JPG

Look. At. That. Bowl of amazingness. Friends, some of you may remember a dining report of mine from years ago where I stated that I don't like mushrooms, but that changed when I had this soup for the first time. This is the s**t! I always want to stick my face in here and lick every drop from the bowl but I refrain, begrudgingly. Our server told us that they were told the soup would still be available after the character meal began, so I'm hoping really really hard that it doesn't disappear from the Territory Lounge menu!
Steve got a salad:
Romaine Salad - Caesar Dressing, guanciale, cotija cheese, amaranth seed, cubeb pepper

IMG_8592.JPG

This wasn't what Steve was expecting but he loved it.

Now we move on to our entrees!
We both got the same thing:

Filet Mignon - choice of house side
(not sure why my computer won't let me make filet mignon pink)

IMG_8594.JPG

Yeah the onion looks weird but it didn't make the filet taste bad! This filet was like butter; butter a thousand times better than the Disney sea salt butter. Both were cooked perfectly and we both got mashed potatoes as our side which were smooooooth and creamy as could be:

IMG_8597.JPG

This dinner was delicious! I wanted dessert, they're famous cobbler, but I was beyond full; we both were. We chatted a bit with our server Mary about the new character meal:
-she said some new decor was coming to make the restaurant look more "foresty"
-as I mentioned, the staff were told that "favorites" from the menu would still be available elsewhere
-they were also told that the food would be "above" that of other character meals, but.......she wasn't that hopeful about that.

I'm so glad we ate here again, it was a great 1st night meal and a nice good-bye to a quiet, cute, solid out of the way restaurant.

We did a quick walk through in the gift shop and then called a Minnie Van to take us back to the GF and our suite :cheer2:

BUT
before retreating for the night, we realized that the loooong ride from one resort to the other emptied our stomachs, and we needed to see what goodies the lounge had to offer at night!

IMG_8598.JPG
See those cups in the middle? That's red velvet cake! I didn't believe it until I tried it for myself the next day :D

IMG_8599.JPG

IMG_8603.JPG

IMG_8604.JPG

IMG_8607.JPG

From 8-10 they have desserts and cordials and this was about 9:45, so we just caught the very end. There were quite a few people in the lounge though but no CM pouring wine, beer, etc. We did find out that all ya gotta do is ask for it; all ya gotta do is ask for anything at any time, which is exactly how it was when we stayed club level at WL.

Back with more pics shortly!

CONTINUED FROM LAST POST

IMG_E8606.JPG

How cute??? Anything Mickey shaped has to be tasted:

IMG_8609.JPG

So yes I was hungry but not starving and I was also tired, so this is all I got sadly. The Mickey shaped treat was a banana pudding thing and the other is a mini cheesecake. Both were good but I preferred the mini-cheesecake. I don't know why I don't have a picture of what Steve got, he tried the cannoli in the last post and liked them and also had a beer of some sort.

Eventually we made our way back to our large living area. We got ready for bed in our own, private bathrooms; no need to share when there's 2 people and 2.5 bathrooms! And then settled into our immense master bedroom to watch TV for a bit. What did that immense master bedroom look like?

IMG_8546.JPG

IMG_8547.JPG

Above you can see the little alcove with a desk, which is the one thing I think I forgot to take a close up of! Straight ahead is my changing room, to the left where the light is shining out of is the master bathroom; pictures of both to come. if you take a right just after the desk you're in the entry way/living room.

IMG_8545.JPG

This is where I was standing when I took the picture looking down to the desk/dressing room. You can really see how huge the room is, this whole space is empty!!! You could do like, four or five cartwheels from one end to the other!! This is what's on the table:

IMG_8580.JPG

I don't think it fits the GF theme, and my guess is it's there due to GE opening and it'll be something different afterwards.

Just another shot. Obviously these weren't taken at night:

IMG_8562.JPG

Pretty bedroom light fixture:

IMG_8548.JPG

Nice right? The master bedroom was almost the same width as the living room and just a bit shy of the same length. When we got back that night we'd had turn down service so this was on our bed:

IMG_8579.JPG

And this. There were two but somebody that wasn't Steve may have eaten one while taking this picture:

IMG_8578.JPG

FYI, every night there were 2 chocolates on the master bed and another 2 in the other bedroom, so I brought home a nice little baggie of free chocolates :thumbsup2

UP NEXT: Waking Up Roy Disney Style!

I just don't know how you did it. I would have never left that suite. Every picture just keeps getting better. Forget the parks, you had enough room in there for your own park. Awesome.

Steve kept saying why couldn't this happen when we're staying for a week

My theory on upgrades like this - the shorter the trip, the better the chance of an upgrade. I think they would need to have a few of their suites across the properties available for any last minute guests willing to pay $$$$ or for any last minute VIPS.

What did that immense master bedroom look like?

Nice.

the other bedroom

Did you make Steve sleep there? I'm sure we would have called it our 'mid-day napping room'. princess::rotfl2:

By now you all know that come December it will no longer be a signature restaurant but a character meal.

We booked this for April but I'll wait and see how the reviews are before I decide if we're going to keep it or not. My mom really loves Snow White, which is the only reason I booked it to begin with.

We both got the same thing:

Filet Mignon - choice of house side
(not sure why my computer won't let me make filet mignon pink)

It's actually linked to a different picture of a Filet Mignon…weird.

What did that immense master bedroom look like?

img_8546-jpg.357941

img_8547-jpg.357942

Just gorgeous :love::worship:

I got way behind but am all caught up now. Though how dare you carry on your trip report when you know I was out of town :P

img_8522-jpg.355598

He loved this, the scallops were tender and the roasted corn, which he normally doesn't eat (he likes green veggies WHAT?? Too healthy for me) complimented them.
Yum! These look good but I'm a sucker for scallops. Like Steve corn not so much, but I could make an exception for scallops!

However once inside I realized it wasn't actually IN the Light Lab, but outside the Light Lab. No matter, I got my cider flight!
This was our very favorite stop for beer at the festival last year. No one seemed to know it was there and we found a gose we loved and kept going back for. Sorry your cider was a bit of a bust though.

img_8527-jpg.355606

Mmmm, dark chili chocolate! Yes this is "spicy", and the mango compliments the heat perfectly. After trying this last year I discovered the Lindt dark chocolate chili bar and OMG I just wish I'd discovered it years ago!
This sounds amazing. I'll have to try the lindt bar. Funny aside Casey got a bunch of gummies at a candy store while we were in Savannah and I broke into them last night after a couple of glasses of wine :drinking1 One of them was a pepper shape which I figured was for looks only. Well imagine my surprise when I put the whole thing in my mouth and it tasted just like a hot pepper. I promptly spit it out. Anyway I'm sure yours was infinitely better but thought I'd share my experience with sweet and "chili" :P

I feel bad posting kids I don't know but look at the moms face. She's looking at me like "why the #@* are you taking a picture of my kids????" Which I know in this day and age isn't funny......but I sort of think this picture is :P

img_8538-jpg.355645

I thought this was Cathy and her kid after you said you met them. I was wondering why you posted such a bad picture of them :P

Nice lady in the picture - and you look fabulous btw considering I had sweat dripping everywhere sweat can possibly drip on a woman - if you're reading this :welcome:
Can I just comment that you said it was 200 degrees out and this woman is wearing long sleeves and pants!!!! In Florida. In September. :confused3

We proceed down the hallway looking for room #4311 and eventually come to a roundish area with double doors on each side. We realized the set of double doors to our right was OUR SUITE, and we could barely contain our excitement now that it was in front of us! I had been wondering for the last few hours why we got this upgrade; I kept thinking I'd get a phone call or text saying it was a mistake lol. But sure enough our MB's opened the door and this came into view:

img_8563-jpg.356406
This is just simply amazing. I'm infinitely jealous but can still manage to be happy for you :worship::worship::worship:

Wait, WHERE'S the TV you ask? It's here!

img_8583-jpg.356413
Good thing we didn't get this room. Jason would be figuring out how to do this in our house!

e were here for dinner at Artist Point which I originally didn't have planned. We enjoy it and I did plan on coming with the boys in November, but when I heard it would be closed and then reopening with a different menu and as a character meal, I needed to get in one more visit while it was a signature.
I still cannot believe they are doing this. What's next, Narcoossee's turns into Ariel's lair because they serve fish? Jiko and Rafiki? California Grill and Pochantas because I'm sure she was there at some point? There is plenty of character dining in Disney. Please don't mess with my signature restaurants. Ok PSA over :sad2:

img_8593-jpg.357915

I still can't believe the Judas that you are eating this. It looks disgusting. It sounds disgusting. But I do hope they continue to have it at the Territory Lounge so you can have some in May and I can get photographic evidence of you sticking your face in the bowl :P

Good lord that is a lot of cheese. Is there any lettuce under there :confused3

Its been several years since our one club level experience, but they had beer and wine right out in the lounge them. Though I'm sure if we were in GF CL they may go back that direction because those cast members would be sick of getting me drinks real dang quick.

img_8547-jpg.357942

Above you can see the little alcove with a desk, which is the one thing I think I forgot to take a close up of! Straight ahead is my changing room, to the left where the light is shining out of is the master bathroom; pictures of both to come. if you take a right just after the desk you're in the entry way/living room.
This room is just gorgeous. Though I had to chuckle at "my" changing room as clearly they put it there purely for your convenience :-)

I still have my suspicions and for the most part I think it was either because of my "job"
Dana thinks that you got the upgrade because of your job, but most of the time when you hear about people getting extra special upgrades it is just a random thing. I would be happy with any kind of an, especially a club level upgrade, but your upgrade was beyond the normal pixie dust. ::yes::

Our server told us that they were told the soup would still be available after the character meal began, so I'm hoping really really hard that it doesn't disappear from the Territory Lounge menu!
That would be really nice if the Territory Lounge served some of the AP favorites, but it probably won't include our favorite Oregon Blackberry cobbler.

What are those things that look like potato chips in your bowl of soup?

Romaine Salad - Caesar Dressing, guanciale, cotija cheese, amaranth seed, cubeb pepper
It looks like it snowed on his salad! That looks like a little too much cheese to me. ;)

This dinner was delicious! I wanted dessert, they're famous cobbler, but I was beyond full; we both were.
We usually order our favorite cobbler when we eat at Artist Point, but since we were CL on this trip, we waited for the delicious cobbler they serve in the Old Faithful Club. I am not a big cobbler fan, but their cobbler is really good, especially my favorite mixed berry cobbler. Were you also thinking about getting dessert in the RPC lounge when you decided not to order it at AP?

From 8-10 they have desserts and cordials and this was about 9:45, so we just caught the very end. There were quite a few people in the lounge though but no CM pouring wine, beer, etc. We did find out that all ya gotta do is ask for it; all ya gotta do is ask for anything at any time, which is exactly how it was when we stayed club level at WL.
Those desserts are really cute. It is hard not to grab something when it all looks so good.

Eventually we made our way back to our large living area. We got ready for bed in our own, private bathrooms; no need to share when there's 2 people and 2.5 bathrooms! And then settled into our immense master bedroom to watch TV for a bit.
After such a busy day, it must have been hard to stay awake long enough to enjoy all that luxury. :)

I wonder that too. I have a few theory's on what helps to get the room upgrades. I really wonder if not doing online check in helps. I am also guessing that the shorter the stay the easier to get an upgrade?

img_8593-jpg.357915

I always want to stick my face in here and lick every drop from the bowl but I refrain, begrudgingly.
We almost tried to go here on our trip but decided I didn't want a heavy meal and went to Geyseur Point instead.

Our server told us that they were told the soup would still be available after the character meal began, so I'm hoping really really hard that it doesn't disappear from the Territory Lounge menu!
I am really surprised that they took this off the menu with the new menu. It seems like one of the more popular items. I mean.

This dinner was delicious! I wanted dessert, they're famous cobbler, but I was beyond full; we both were. We chatted a bit with our server Mary about the new character meal:

Good Research!

What are those? Those are so cute!

img_e8606-jpg.357937

How cute??? Anything Mickey shaped has to be tasted:
And those too! I seriously would want to take all of them back to the room for later. I would end up with a giant stash of desserts. Ha.

I want that headboard and chaise! It wouldn't fit in my bedroom but I love it....

img_8580-jpg.357947

I don't think it fits the GF theme, and my guess is it's there due to GE opening and it'll be something different afterwards.
I wonder if the occupant before you was a huge star wars fan OR even someone that was there for something FOR the new Star Warsland! I mean that suite WOULD warrant people of THAT level! I think you should make a whole "story" about what that book is there.

Ugh, believe me 100% when I say I feel for you and her. I assume she's normally a very active/athletic kid? And insurance SUCKS. We're going through the school insurance since he was hurt there (both times :sad2:) and they're even worse than normal health insurance.

Best of luck to your daughter! It's not easy, and while there is pain I have to say I feel the recovery is worse. But being so young it's really not an option to not have the surgery :(

Thanks. Hopefully within 6 weeks she will feel well enough to be in her brother's wedding. It's 6 weeks after her surgery. The doc said to expect not to feel like doing anything fro two weeks after surgery which will be hard for her. I don't think she realizes its not just a quick recovery. Hopefully it won't interfere with her semester at college after wards either, If it does she may lose her scholarship unless we can get it deferred to the next semester. She has already informed her boss and thankfully they are great to work for so she knows she will need at least a month off.

Oh my! That suite is to die for:love:! One day I might get to stay at GF, it's one of my three dream resorts. Probably as a result of Full House :rotfl:. The other two are Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge. We are actually getting to stay at Wilderness Lodge for our 25th wedding anniversary trip next September. I'm super excited!

Sounds like a lovely night at the Artist Point! Everything looks great!

Those CL desserts... :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

That ROOM!!! :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Can't wait to hear more!

I want that soup, it looks so yummy and if a non mushroom lover, “loves it” it has to be good! I hope to try it in May if they still have it at the lounge.

The master bedroom is gorgeous it is so big!

We love AP so glad you got to enjoy another great meal there.
We have an ADR for Snow White in March mainly for Kathy though the new menu does look appealing.
Wow what a heavenly master bedroom can't wait to see your master bath and dressing room.

OMG HUBBA HUBBA I enjoyed your pics on FB but these are amazing
Thanks! I feel that way every single time I look at them again :goodvibes

Forget the parks, you had enough room in there for your own park. Awesome.
We kept telling people we could have a party with 75 of our closest DIS friends in there

My theory on upgrades like this - the shorter the trip, the better the chance of an upgrade.
I agree, you're definitely more likely to get an upgrade on a short trip and when I hear about them here on the DIS, they are normally shorter trips.

I think they would need to have a few of their suites across the properties available for any last minute guests willing to pay $$$$ or for any last minute VIPS.
And adding on to my previous comment, they wouldn't want to keep these expensive suites filled with upgraded guests for a whole 7-10 days, this being one reason!

Did you make Steve sleep there? I'm sure we would have called it our 'mid-day napping room'. princess::rotfl2:
lmao, I stopped at making him use a different bathroom ;)

We booked this for April but I'll wait and see how the reviews are before I decide if we're going to keep it or not. My mom really loves Snow White, which is the only reason I booked it to begin with.
I don't blame you for booking it, I kind of want to experience it, too. I know on my FAM next October we're going to do it but that's a year away so I'll have seen tons of reviews here before that! I also won't have a choice as far as where we eat on that trip lol

It's actually linked to a different picture of a Filet Mignon…weird.
:confused3

This was our very favorite stop for beer at the festival last year. No one seemed to know it was there and we found a gose we loved and kept going back for. Sorry your cider was a bit of a bust though.
I remember that gose you loved, I wanted to get it the day after you told me about it but never made it back :(

:rotfl2:Did Casey eat any of them???? That's so weird, a pepper flavored gummy for kids??

Can I just comment that you said it was 200 degrees out and this woman is wearing long sleeves and pants!!!! In Florida. In September. :confused3
We saw so many people in winter type clothing and it almost made me want to pass out :faint: Just added to her ridiculousness!

I'm infinitely jealous but can still manage to be happy for you :worship::worship::worship:
Well isn't that sweet of you :P Maybe it was to make up for us not being able to go in August!

Well! A little more pissy than me, aren't you? But I get it and fully agree. However if they do want to turn more sigs into character meals, at least I have some ideas to give them now :rotfl2:

I still can't believe the Judas that you are eating this. It looks disgusting. It sounds disgusting. But I do hope they continue to have it at the Territory Lounge so you can have some in May and I can get photographic evidence of you sticking your face in the bowl :P
Maybe I can get enough :drinking1 in you to get you to try a spoonful!!!

Good lord that is a lot of cheese.
That is definitely cheese :thumbsup2

Its been several years since our one club level experience, but they had beer and wine right out in the lounge them.
That's how it was at WL, and during the "dinner" from 5-7 they had the wine and beer out at GF, too. Not sure why they didn't during cordials........

Dana thinks that you got the upgrade because of your job, but most of the time when you hear about people getting extra special upgrades it is just a random thing.
Yes, it is usually random and ours could have been, too! The one thing I find weird is that they'd put 2 people in such a huge suite but hey, I really shouldn't think on it too hard. I'm sure it had to do with being much easier to fill the standard outer building room we had booked than the Roy Disney suite!

That would be really nice if the Territory Lounge served some of the AP favorites, but it probably won't include our favorite Oregon Blackberry cobbler.
Well, if their going to keep the soup there's a good chance they'll keep the cobbler, I think it's just as popular!

What are those things that look like potato chips in your bowl of soup?
There's bacon there and the rest I believe is the "salsify" which I think is a type of celery root? It was also a little bit salty and crunchy, very good!

We usually order our favorite cobbler when we eat at Artist Point, but since we were CL on this trip, we waited for the delicious cobbler they serve in the Old Faithful Club.
I had the cobbler when we stayed CL at WL; I thought it was almost as good as the AP cobbler :)
