I love credit cards so much!

DoC just reported 4x fuel points on Visa/MC GCs and all other GCs next weekend. Have to download the coupon for it. I think I might pick up a $100 Disney GC for spending next week and maybe another $50 Universal GC.

Southwest Rapid Rewards shopping portal is offering 3000 bonus points for spending $1000. I just placed a $1000 order for Giftcards.com which also offers .5/$ so should get a total of 3500 Southwest miles and 3000 UR's on the purchase. Total fees were about $18. American Airlines is also offering a bonus so I'm going to do that one next. These cards are very easy to liquidate since they have your name on them but don't do more than you could potentially float.

I have a decision to make.... I can either use all UR's for a week car rental in Maui- UR cash cost is 309.40 or 20,626 Ur's....
Or costco travel has a car for $247- Using the 'divide by .015' method I calculate the first cost oop as $0, but if I choose the 2nd, I'd pay the $247 oop, but $247/.015= 164.47- does this mean I'm really only saving the $164 when debating which is a better choice?
..........ETA......... So I just check my portal (hello expedia,1st time looking since the change) and I found a booking for a minivan on my dates costing 225.99 -so 15066 UR..... that's a great deal! I still am unsure about the CSR in my name and the driver being my DH (help advise please) and I had it bill the last .99 to my CSR...will that provide coverage?

Hahaha! My rule* is try it once! Biggest regret on my time in Beijing is I never made it to the market where they sold scorpions on a stick. (Although apparently that particular weird food craze is hitting state fairs so maybe I’ll see it in the US first?)

*I do have my limits- blood, organs, bowl of bugs- solid no!
Lol - I ate fried crickets and it was actually pretty good!:stir:

BJ's has several GCs for 10% off or more online, some notables:

10%
Starbucks, 50 for 45
Starbucks 3 10s, 30 for 27
PF Chang's, 50 for 45
iTunes, all multipacks
Hotels .com, 100 for 90
Southwest, 200 for 180

20%
Dunkin donuts, 25 for 18

Most expire on Oct 31. Free membership open house runs until 11/4

ETA: whoops had southwest listed wrong. Hopefully I didn't get anyone excited.
Edit 2: missed a word, added ''online"
I'm only seeing $50 Dunkin Donuts for $48.99. Bummer! Those 25's would have been great as gifts.

Currently online doesn't require a membership (because of the promo). I've purchased 2 sets of Disney gc's without a membership. I did have to use my login that I created with them to see the pricing though.

how do u get around the membership? it asked me to sign in. :\

I was out of town this weekend (watching my Cal Bears beat #15 Washington!) and forced myself not to call the status line about my CIP, both since it was a weekend and since I was supposed to be enjoying time with friends and family. I called this morning and was approved! I've already called to have the card expedited since I am leaving for Wine & Dine half marathon weekend on Thurs. and would like to have the card with me to start working on MSR.

And on the RMN front, I bought some gift cards at Staples last Thurs. to take advantage of the $10 back on $75 spend, and the $10 was payable in my RMN account this morning. I actually bought $100 in gcs because I happened to need both Starbucks and Disney and was using my CIC anyway so was getting 5x UR. I did not add any filler, and had no problem with the RMN award crediting. I've only hit Staples a couple of times because it isn't as convenient for me as Walgreens and Home Depot, but so far I'm at 100% on having Staples work for me with RMN (since I know it's been hit and miss for others).

Not sure if anyone posted this, but here is an email my daughter received from Plastiq after opening an account.

"I wanted to follow up again to put some color on real businesses using Plastiq. See here how one of our customers used their business credit card to purchase a Tesla and use the points for business travel. You too can can use the card for many expenses and use those points however you'd like."

Interesting that they are promoting the Tesla article on Business Insider. Also, just as an FYI if your daughter happens to open her account from the same computer as the referring account, the referral code doesn't work ... Ask me how I know. I need to add the code in incognito mode.

I was thinking I should maybe try to convince DH to apply for a SW card in Jan. in case Chase decides to change the bonus to every 48 months instead of 24 months. Wanted to verify, you can no longer receive bonuses for multiple personal cards, correct? DH is opposed to biz cards, so I would have to decide which is the most lucrative signup bonus at that time.

It's the first one for me when I open up the dining category, it's listed as a Best Seller when I just looked now (so I should probably get my order in pronto), but I'm starting to wonder if they change up the inventory based on regions as even though I'm not signed in they took a guess at my zip code for delivery. Otherwise I'd have thought it'd be first up for everyone, but maybe it's only Best Seller in my district/region?
