SURVIVOR 37...and NOW Survivor 38 (no spoilers)

Read an interview with Natalie. She said she was cast in a bad light. She was the only one who knew how to make a fire. And that when you saw her sitting there giving directions, it was to help the others make a fire. She said she was hurt on purpose by a team member and hurt her back right from the get go. And then blah, blah, blah. I think that maybe she is a bit delusional.

I'll never understand how players who claim to know the game so well make such rookie mistakes
I think that every season! I can only assume that things feel different when you're actually IN the situation.

Similarly, I don't understand why people who KNOW they're going on Survivor don't learn to light a fire with flint and steel ... learn to fish with a stick or a homemade net ... learn to lash together a shelter ... study up on Fiji's wild edibles. I guess I'm saying I don't think the contestants plan enough for the "surviving" part of Survivor.

I think she was cast in a bad light because she's bossy and not so good with people. I think she's been at the top levels of her business for so long that people have been kissing her butt, and she's unrealistic about how she appears to people who aren't on her payroll.

I did love what Lysa (spelling?) said when she was voted out last night: Crap. Now I have to sit next to Natalie at the reunion.

I thought for sure they were going to vote off Angelina. I'm pretty sure they will end up regretting that decision. She isn't loyal to anyone but herself.
Totally agree!

I said this also, that vote will come back to haunt them. And of course the merge is the next episode, bad move.

I would rather see her stupid hat, than see her in that shirt and those baggy underwear she wears to every challenge! Do they not bring a pair of long pants with them, just in case?
She has blue jeans. Many seasons ago, contestants wore the same swimming suit almost every day. Many had a shirt or shorts that they wore over their swimming suit. Hardly anyone has a swim suit anymore.

I am wondering how she is functioning with her back. She said 4 weeks ago, she was literally laid up in bed because her back went out. When my back goes out, I need a muscle relaxer and pain meds. Then I ice my back ever 20 minutes on the hour. I cannot imagine sleeping on bamboo. She was within her rights to fix the bamboo. If they had 2 more hours of day light, they could of had the at least half of the shelter done. Amazing how Winey people get and made her stop.

You know, I never paid attention enough and didn't realize the seating order was based on order voted out.

Yeah, I don't get the underwear thing.

I read somewhere that the contestants bring a BIG suitcase of their own clothes, and the producers go through and pick the items they're going to be allowed to take to the island. The reasoning was that they want to balance out the colors that the contestants are wearing (like, they don't want 50% of the contestants wearing black tee-shirts -- it'd make things more difficult for the audience, especially in the first weeks before we have a handle on everyone's names). The rest of their stuff stays "back at camp" in the place where the people who are voted off are housed.

It seems to me that if you KNOW you're going to be on a tropical island and you're going to be filmed, you'd leave all the underwear at home and wear a bathing suit 100% of the time. I mean, jeans slip over the swim suit bottom just as nicely as they slip over undies.

I was very happy with the one voted out last night! I still can't get anyones name straight but there is one nerdy guy who gets a lot of interview air time, wears glasses and talks like someone on the Big Bang Theory- he has the weirdest body hair ever- he has this small patch of black hair in the middle of his chest and then when he was sitting down talking to the camera he has black hair on the top of his leg, black hair on the bottom and like 2 feet of hairless skin in between LOL- just odd looking.

Going into tribal I thought for sure that Angelina would be voted out. I feel like there is so much editing that I'm losing what is really going on. I'm ok with Elizabeth getting voted out as I thought she was annoying.

No one has grabbed my fancy this season, but I'm watching anyway. I did roll my eyes at Angelina crying because she wasn't getting her way. Delusional, that one. Looking forward to see what Dan does with his idols. In spite of watching every week, last night I was thinking "who is Davy"?

Me too lol, I was like Davy? I'd thought they had done a better job of giving us more time to get to know people but I guess not. Gonna assume this means that he doesn't end up making it to the end.
