Last Car Journey you took?

In terms of road trips, my most recent was to a Disney meetup in Birmingham (West Midlands, UK, not Alabama, USA). The longest I took this year was all the way to Scotland back in March, before my second NYC vacation. I flew out of Edinburgh.

The car journey I took was 2 weeks ago to the tip.

The tip of what?? Not counting the places I journey to in my car daily this weekend I went from NY to Boston to visit my daughter at college and before that in May was Utah-NV-AZ-CO-Utah.

The last time that I did a long drive was in July of 2010, when we moved from New England to Texas. The next trip begins in 11 days, when we go to Northern California for Thanksgiving.

Sw fla to northern fla ( which is about 6 hours, Yes... fla Is a long state, lol)
Fla to Tn. Then Tn to Missouri.
Missouri back to SW fla

A few weeks ago we drove from West Tennessee to visit friends in New York (state) and then drove to Boston and Bar Harbor, spending a few days in each. We ended up seeing 13 different states on that trip.

A few weeks before that we drove down and spent a few days in New Orleans.

We drove to WDW in Oct. stopping overnight in nowhere GA. Never again. We will fly. It was a pretty last minute decision, to make up for our trip to WDW in August, and it would be our last opportunity to take the boy while he was still 2. Due to some medical issues I don't drive and that's too much of a burden to put on my DH again; we just had such slim and expensive flight options so close to the trip (I think we planned it 2 weeks out) that we thought the drive would be ok. Going home was rough as we were due to exchange custody and we literally pulled into town with about 20 minutes to spare. Talk about stressful.

We just returned from driving from Orlando to Buffalo, NY. We flew down to Orlando to move some bedroom furniture we purchased for DS who did the Disney College Program last semester. Yikes it's a long drive!

I don't do "car journeys". Mine aren't 100% "road trips" either. I travel trails on a bicycle. Last trip was 3 nights camping along the Allegheny River and Redbank River here in western PA.

Last year in July I rode across NY on the Erie Canal trail. About 100 of the 425 miles was on Rt 5 on the road, so there's my "road trip" portion.

I do 900 miles round trip twice a month to visit elderly parents. Our last road trip that went further than that was a few years ago. Sometimes if my husband is with me, we try to add a day or two detour to vacation along the way. We have some long road trips planned when we retire though.

I just did an epic road trip this summer with my three grown kids...ages 22, 20 and 17. We started in Massachusetts and did a six week trip round trip cross country trip all the way to CA and back. DH met us in CA and traveled with us for two weeks then flew home from CO.

We drove about 10,000 miles and saw 11 National Parks. It was awesome and we would all do it again in a heartbeat!

We live in an amazing country and I wish everyone could see all the wonderful places we saw and meet all the great people we met along the way.

I don't know what the parameters of a "car journey" are to answer this question. My son's college is almost 3 hours away, so a round trip to get him for the weekend is 6 hours. Does that count?

I live in Houston, my son goes to school in Erie, Pennsylvania. In August, I drove up with him and flew home. I will do the reverse in May. He is a Senior so this is my last time. I enjoy spending the time with my son, but It would be nice to drive in my nice car instead of his 2005 Civic.
