Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

 What a week to go to DW! :faint: At least your weather was better than our overall visits! POP IS nice, isn't it? I think my favorite part of the renovations would be the walk in showers :goodvibes and totally agree on the Murphy beds...SO much room. While we LOVE the deluxe resorts (and WILL be staying at one of them again on a future trip) I am done with being a "resort snob"...I highly recommend the value resorts to future visitors but I also warn them about the small rooms. I leave the decision up to them but for the VALUE...VALUE resorts are the way to go! :thumbsup2 Good to have you back! :tink:

lol we will still be a snobs and not stay at values

moderates are were it is at for us until we pull the trigger for DVC once the new one get here and Emily is back to work

:rotfl: With 2 kiddos, I agree...especially after they're a little grown up...it's a space issue then. But...I will say, the value room sizes are really, REALLY close to the moderate Caribbean Beach. In fact, our last stay at CB with 4 in the room was WAY more crowded than the next 2 in values. Each to his own but I'm just saying I'd rather go to DW more often and stay at values than have to save 2-3 years for a deluxe stay. Not a thing wrong with the values; food is good, rooms are updated, beds are AWESOME...much better comfort than our last WL stay, pools are greatly themed, bus service is...for the most part...really good, resort themes are really cute and for the time we spend at the resorts the "bottom line" can't be beat. We had 2 rooms at the POP on our last trip and it was still cheaper than the quote I got from WL. ::yes:: DVC will be awesome for your young family! DD and family have taken full advantage of their membership for yearly vacations; she's a little "miffed" that the "perks" aren't what they used to be but still a good decision for them when they joined almost 10 years ago. You and Emily will LOVE it! :tink:

You should try the family suites at AoA. Honestly it did not feel like a value at all. I was a resort snob until I stayed here. There is so much room. You get your own bedroom and bathroom and the kds each have their own bed and space. It's also nice to have a table and chairs to eat. The only thing I noticed was the bed was a little too firm for me. The beds at the Poly are so, so comfortable. Your kids would love the "Disney theme" of the resort and the food court is really good. The resort is really clean and believe it or not the little kids at AoA were more well behaved than the teenagers and adults at the Poly.

Hi Goop & Diane! Hi everyone! Hope everyone is well... Just survived Jersey week, Disney Run weekend & Food & Wine... it was PACKED! Weather was wonderful. Stayed at Pop for the first time. We really like what they did with the room renovations. The MURPHY beds give you so much room to walk around when closed.

I’m going to say - Roaring Forks??

Have a great day!

Welcome back, glad you had a great trip.

As usual, I side with Jeff. After staying at the All Stars, I joined DVC. I might not have been so disgusted if I had stayed at AoA or Pop. But I'm glad I joined DVC. Jeff, my only regret, like lots of other people, is that I didn't buy in sooner! And you with the young kids and you being young should buy in as soon as you can.

On the other hand, I have confirmed what I suspected; I will never have enough points to stay anywhere with the layout I want. When I go, it's 2 adults. I want my own sleeping space, my own bathroom. My cousin ruined the hope of a one bedroom for me. Her sleeping area was the living/dining area and she slept a lot. I would come bouncing down the hall and open the door and it would be dark as a cave. I would have to feel my way over to my room and stay there. I never got to enjoy the feel of having a one bedroom apt.

When I went to the Grand Californian, I had 2 connecting rooms. It was perfect. My friend stayed up late. I got up early. Once we closed our door, we never heard each other. Got to take a nice break or nap every afternoon while she made phone calls.

But, I will only be able to hope to stay at a DVC property once every 3 years with only 50 points a year. They don't even let you buy such a small amount anymore. But it's nice to get the few perks that are left.

I hope to go next fall with my cousin Jason. My plan is to try to stay at PO French Quarter, in connecting rooms. Still my favorite resort.

ya I keep my eyes open for resale DVC to start with and then buy direct later one just to get some of the benefits

for us resale is the way to go and like may people have said to me on the boards. we are probably looking at around 150-200 points a year and then go down every other year to we can bank two years of points together to get a suite for the kids to run around and have room in

CrAzY Friday night football in our District; final games for the 5 teams to determine playoff spots. The most likely scenario...there are also 3 other scenarios before this likely one... (and Diane...as the only other sports fan on WITW you're probably the only one that understands :rotfl:) is...if Bellville wins, Caldwell wins and LaGrange loses, those 3 teams would tie for 2nd (Giddings will most likely win District). Bellville beat LaGrange by 8; LaGrange beat Caldwell by 8 and Caldwell beat Bellville by 8, leaving all 3 teams with zero points. Then it goes to total points allowed. LaGrange is at 20 and Bellville and Caldwell are both at 39. In that scenario, LaGrange would be 2nd and Caldwell/Bellville 3rd & 4th places would need to be determined! :faint:o_O:crazy: The coaches will need calculators to figure this situation out! It's cold, damp and windy so we decided we're not taking another road trip tonight and staying by the computer listening to all 3 games at the same time in our nice warm and dry house. :cloud9: :tink:
