I love credit cards so much!

I think I just completed the bonus $1k for SW RR Shopping. Made a purchase from Kohl’s on that I may or may not keep.

And I have 3 Chase Pay transactions for I need to complete the final 2.

@disneymagicgirl i thought Walmart.com via SW RR worked with GCs but it looks like I was mistaken. I’ve tried twice and neither of the transactions tracked :(

Thx for the update. I did 2 actual purchases on there today. When does the promo end again? the chase pay one? I know the RR shopping ends in 2 days.

Correct, Chase is looking at only credit lines on their personal and biz cards (i.e., their own exposure). At ~30% total, I think you've got a really good chance at auto-approval! Just make sure the personal SW doesn't put you at 5/24 because you still need a slot for the SW Biz.
I'm going to go for it! I'm currently at 2/24 with the double dip, all other cards I have were more than 2 years ago (except CIP which doesn't count).

anyone done any Hh points bonus ,the kind that are offered thru email or on offers? I did one the other day and still waiting on the extra Hh points as a bonus (?) either I did it wrong or they're slow....

Can you elaborate? Do you mean the ones that are (loosely) quarterly...like double points etc?

That's our plan for tomorrow to see Fantastic Beasts and the book should also be arriving since I pre-ordered it on Amazon. They just renovated a theatre near us so we are going to try the recliner seating, I think.
We paid $3 extra per person to see it on the ultra screen. We have a town 20 minutes away that has all loungers in every theater and the one we did last night had heated ones!

. . . and now I'm perusing Jan/Feb 2019 cruises . . . You guys are a bad influence!!

You're just NOW finding this out?

I would have been asleep within 5 minutes!

It's been about a year since I started churning. Thank you all for all of the information, since last fall we've not paid for hotel room oop, including a Club level stay in May! So thank you, thank you, thank you!

If I may pick your brains even further...
* Since it's been a year, AF's are starting to hit. Luckily I got in on the Sapphire double dip before they shut that down. My AF should hit on the Preferred by the end of this month when my stmt closes. If I remember correctly, I can downgrade to a Freedom, right? Here's the thing, I would love to have another freedom asap as we've maxed out the 5% cat on both of ours already. Is it ok to downgrade before the AF hits? Or do I need to wait?

* I have a US Bank Business card that I had for years before starting this hobby. Not using it all now. I know not to cancel personal cards for age of accounts, but what about business ones? Do they affect your average age of accounts for credit score?

* Priority Pass Lounges at MCO. I believe there are two? Is one better than the other? Worth visiting? Our flight out leaves at 8:30pm so I'm thinking we'll probably want food ;)

Happy Friday!!!!!

Here’s my dilemma - meeting Amex MSR would be way easier if I could pay for my rent with Plastiq. However, they burned me a few months ago when the check didn’t arrive at the office (or they lost it) and I had to clock out at work to get the rent paid on time. Could I send the rent check to my address while making it out to my landlord’s company so I can hand-deliver it?

1 - Yes, you can downgrade to another Freedom. You'll have to wait until your year anniversary (but I actually don't know if you can downgrade after year anniversary and before AF posts, if there's a gap).

2 - Does it show up on your personal credit report? I believe the answer is no. If it doesn't, it's not helping or hurting you in any way, so you can close it without issue.

1. You can do it before but you can't go directly to a CF/CFU until you hit your 1 year. If less than a year you can downgrade to a CS (plain jane Sapphire). From the CS you can PC/upgrade to a CF or CFU. Couple folks tried to go directly to a CF before 1 year this summer and the reps said it wasn't possible before your anniversary date. So can either wait until your exact anniversary date or try the CSP>CS>CF route. I'm guessing a couple days/weeks isn't going to kill your relationship with Chase.

2. It'll only affect your personal AAoA/credit score if it's being reported on your personal credit report. Do you see that card on your TU, EX, or EQ reports?

3. Don't know about this one, when it comes to lounges I'm a peasant :p

Thank you both!

2. Closing Biz Card - This is what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

1. Hmmm..my Anniversary date is 11/13. I was just thinking of when the statement closed so I assume my AF will hit end of the mo. with statement. Is it ok to try, I wonder? We have a mini Disney trip next month and then one in January so that 5% back at Sam's with Dosh and the Uber Credit is what I'm after ;)

I'd give the PC shot, you made it a year, how much more can they ask of you? :p

That just seems like a lot of points when I could just pay the $48 to upgrade to a better room.
It is. That is the problem with premium room rewards. Well that and the fact that you don’t get fifth night free on them either.
When I want a room that is a premium reward, I end up just paying cash and accruing points to use towards a standard room reward in the future.

Question for the IHG folks - has anyone ever had their anniversary night overlap? My night this year is a little odd, I got it beginning of Jan but it says it's good through 1/18/2019 - so a couple weeks more than 1 year. I should be getting my next night beginning of Jan again so I wonder if there will be an overlap where I could use both. Anyone have that happen?

This is a first for us, we usually have the IHG night used by Oct at the latest, so having one still available is uncharted territory and I never had to pay attention to the dates so closely.

I guess Dh and I will just have to decide what makes the most sense for us. We definitely want that Celebrio room so that isn't something that will change. I don't see us needing all of these points for anything else, though. Maybe we will just use whatever points we have and just pay the rest with cash.
