Priceline Express Deals

Quick question for anyone that might know. Anyone know the breakdown of the taxes and fees? Mine were just over $100 for 3 nights so it’s more than just the 6% plus 6.5%.
There was some discussion of dining plan included in the fees at some point, but not sure on the details of it. Do you happen to see that anywhere in the confirmation for your reservation?

Any advice for knowing disney properties and or swan/dolphin on HW? I know you select Bonnet Creek and I thought I read disney properties list airport shuttles. But wanting to know more before I book.

Looking at June 1st ‘19 till at least the 3rd and any help would be appreciated.

Also watching PL using Hotel Canary too.
HW is bonnet creek and shuttle for disney. I am not sure on Swan/Dolphin.

ETA: I just found swan under bonnet creek as well.

I have a split stay coming up. My texts/ fees are $73 for 2 nights and $86 for 3 nights.

So my receipt says....
For this transaction, the amount you were charged relating to Taxes was $63.42. The amount you were charged for Service Fees was $45.00

Wonder what the $45 is for?

Could it be a charge for daily housekeeping since it's not usually included with DVC resorts? :confused3

I'm staying one night at Yacht Club (for $178) and my taxes and fees are $49.97. For one night. That's a little over double the 13% hotel taxes & fees, and not sure what its for.

I'm also staying one night at Wilderness Lodge (for $195) and my taxes and fees are $53.97.

I am curious what those fees are for, but even so I'm still saving money, so I'm ok with it.

I wonder if PL hides the resort fee in the nightly room fee sometimes. I have spent the last hour or more playing with different dates using hotel canary - Wyndam Grand seems to always be an express deal or often is. Sometimes when HC identified the hotel as likely to be Wyndam Grand there was no resort fee but sometimes there was. Though sometimes the resort fee when listed, is listed at 40 a night and sometimes 28 for what is likely to be Wyndam Grand so maybe HC is just wrong when identifying it as the WG. Though PL always says that someone just got WG when HC says it is probably WG so I am very confused! I am not interested in WG at all, just trying to figure out the clues and how PL lists express deals.

I've been noticing high taxes and fees too. If you read the PL pop up on that, it kinds of sounds like PL may be including a fee for their services in that too?

Not in my email from Priceline. I’ll have to check the site.
I had a post about that- the taxes and fees though added up to around 100 a night - it could have been close to 120 a night. I'll need to look it up to find out for sure but it was at least 100 a night. This was for a booking in October when free dining was offered. Edit to add: Actually free dining wasn't offered then was it? I don't pay attention much to free dining since I am on a very restricted diet.

Could they be including the parking fees?

Could be? It would be helpful if they broke those out, so we knew, but.... *shrugs*

Could they be including the parking fees?
I hope not, I don't have a car and wouldn't pay that to Disney! It might be the priceline fee itself, but they just bundle it all together so we don't know for sure. *shrugs*

That was akl right? Weird.

Yeah AKL, I may reach out to Priceline tomorrow to see what exactly that charge is.

I stayed at French Quarter exactly a year prior and my tax broke down like this.

For this transaction, the amount you were charged relating to Taxes was $36.93. The amount you were charged for Service Fees was $33.78 .

That room was only $104 a night (what a deal!)

So more than 24 hours later and I can't link my reservations. It seems like this is not the norm? After the discussion on here, I also have higher fees than just the 12.5% tax, but it's only $30. I'm not worried about it, but wondered if it would help any of you with your detective work.

When are your trips? Those are so cheap for those resorts!

Feb 9th is Wilderness Lodge, and Feb 10th for Yacht Club. Then Feb 11-14th is All Star Music for $45 a night (with $38.31 taxes & fees). I got really lucky when they had a bunch on Priceline a few weeks ago. :) The total for these 5 nights was $10 cheaper than booking Coronado Springs and All Star Music direct from Disney with an AP discount. I'm so excited! It's my first time at all three resorts :)

I waited a full week to get my confirmation to work when I booked AK villas jambo. But there was a problem that time and then it took another week to get things sorted out between PL and Disney accepting the reservation. In my limited previous bookings with PL express deals it worked essentially immediately. It won't hurt to call PL and ask them to contact the hotel for you.
