Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Just booked a night at Yacht Club on Feb 10th, through priceline express (huzzah good deals!). It turned out to be a "Garden or Woods View"; if I'm looking to get room as close to Epcot as possible, what would people recommend?

Also, it's my first time at Yacht Club--I'm excited!! :)
That is great! Do you mind if I ask what Priceline listed the discount as?

To Yacht or not.

The BC is our home but thinking of trying the YC this time (Aug). I need convincing that I'm doing the right thing!

The full balcony and 1st on/off the bus is appealing , but the YC market place and dogs is not.

Also , is there a smell in the lobby like the BC. Is it very 'confrencie'.

I don't know what to do heeeeellllllp. We also like to have the day bed , is this more of a guarantee at the YC?

TIA xx
We saw a dog over Christmas on the Boardwalk. The dog could have come from anywhere. On our last night we walked all around the Boardwalk after leaving Epcot, and we saw the dog laying on a bed staring out the window. Point being, a local could have brought the dog and walked it around. You could have stayed at any resort and seen the dog on the Boardwalk. I am uncertain what your concern is regarding dogs, but we stayed water view at Yacht Club and were unaffected while at the resort. Granted, I have dogs and considered taking them November 2017 after the policy change, but we realized it would not work for our touring style and our dogs.

DH and I are considering going to WDW for our anniversary. We can get a standard room at Poly for $50 more per night than a garden view room at YC. We usually stay at YC as a family because we love being able to walk over to Epcot and BW, but are wondering if Poly would be more romantic. That being said, we love the pools at YC and are wondering if the two pools at Poly would be more crowded. We would be going in late August. I know Stormalong Bay can get pretty crowded but it is so large, we usually can still find a place to swim without feeling crowded, not to mention retreating to the quiet pools. Any thoughts?

Personally, I prefer YC over Poly whether it’s just me and DH or I’m traveling with my DD. Poly is definitely themed differently, but I don’t find it more romantic. I really value the romantic strolls to Epcot and DHS over a beach stroll. As far as the pools go, DH prefers the quiet pools and last time we were at YC we had the pool and spa to ourselves every night except one. I’m sure you’ll have fun no matter what you choose, but I’d use the $50 per night for something else.

I currently have 3 nights booked for a std view rm at YC and considering adding a day (this is the last part of a split stay, will be coming from 6 nts @ POP w/fd pkg). I can’t add a day without changing the whole resv to garden view, which is $15 more per night (not horrible, but seems like a waste just for a view). I’m considering switching to std rm at Beach Club, which is what I’d prefer. For some reason BC is only discounted 25% instead of 30% and generally a little more than YC so that room would be $20 more than YC std rm. I know, not huge discrepancies, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it to switch to BC and pay a little more.

4 nts BC $1336 std rm
4 nts YC $1316 gdn rm
3 nts YC $942 std rm

***edit*** I switched to 4 nts @ BC

My wife and I plan to use Amazon Prime Now to get a case of water delivered to use when we stay at the Beach Club Villas. Can anyone with experience let us know what we should put down for the shipping address? We've never done this before and don't want to mess anything up.

Would it simply be the address that shows on Disney's website?

Disney's Beach Club Villas
1800 Epcot Resorts Boulevard
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-8443

And then do we mark our reservation number somewhere?

We’ll be checking into BC Sunday (yay!). I always order food from Garden Grocer & did so again for this trip. My DH came home today & said someone at work said that Disney now offers a grocery delivery service. I was doubtful since I’m on the boards every day & have never read about Disney getting into groceries. So is this true?

Last month I saw a sign in the BC Marketplace saying that they deliver from the Marketplace.
Sorry that I can't offer any other info. It might be worth a phone call to Guest Services.

Thx. I don’t think they do. I mean it’d be all over the boards if they decided to venture into that service. I also looked on Disney’s website and didn’t find anything. I think the person was misinformed.

Found this on the web for grocery delivery for DVC
https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/faq/pre-arrival-checklist/grocery-order/

There is also grocery ordering available through disney for the fort wilderness cabins. There's a form in the cabins. This would be limited to what is on the forms. So the other vendors are probably used more because of the variety products available.

What do you mean? The price? The price was $178.00, and then $49.97 for taxes and fees, for a total of $227.97.
Did you use Hotel Canary? I saw one earlier today for $142/night and it had YC, BC, BW, AKL, WL villas. I'm thinking that has to be AKL but not sure.

Yea, I used Hotel Canary. When I got YC, it only listed the Epcot resorts as possibilities. When it listed all of them like that, I got WL, but I'm no expert and no idea how to differentiate. I'd only book it if you're willing to stay at AKL.

DVC has offered this service to their members for years

Just thought the person that told @tsme about the "new" grocery service may have been referring to this. Lots of people find out about something and it's new because it's new to them.

Thx for the replies. I think the guy heard of this service and thought is applied to all resort guests. It’s always good to learn of new (or old) services.

My in-laws are staying at BC and we are at BCV... what would be a good room request to put on my in-laws reservations to have them as close to the villa side as possible?

I have a room booked for myself and a room for a friend and her bf. He will be on a scooter. We have club level rooms booked, will they fit in the rooms with 2 queen beds do you think or should we request a king bed for them?

We are not that long back from our Christmas and New Year stay.

I thought I’d come on first to say thanks for all the invaluable info on here that helped make our trip fabulous.

We stayed the first 5 nights at the contemporary in a theme park view room then moved over to a garden view room at beachclub.

We had requested a day bed, high floor and to be on the same side as the volleyball court. We ended up in room 2583. It had everything we had asked for and a full balcony, I will try to upload a picture of the view later. It was fairly close to the lobby and I don’t know if it’s just me but I loved walking down the little staircase into the lobby each day, it felt very princessy.

The room itself was nice but my goodness the toilets are noisy and the soundproofing is not great. Mousekeeping was fine but not proactive with providing things like extra toiletries although they were always left when we asked.

We found the marketplace to be pretty busy most of the time and I was a little disappointed in the bakery selection, the yacht club marketplace had better choice. I did love the clam chowder though.

The location was great especially over new year and we had a nice stay. The buses were fine, a couple of times we had just missed a bus and had a longer wait but nothing crazy.

Having now stayed in the beach and yacht club I can firmly say my heart lies in the yacht club camp and if we return to the Epcot resorts that’s where we will stay.

Nothing wrong with the beach club but I prefer the decor and quieter feel of the yacht club and I liked their christmas colour scheme better, the carousel as lovely as it was has a very strong smell that I did get a little fed up with.
