Pixie Dust, or Pixie MOUNTAIN? A Grand (Roy) Disney TR *NEW TR LINK 8/11!*

Hayden Olivia  She'll be 6 months old on Christmas day and she's starting to be fun!

She is the most adorable baby!!!

The food at HOB looked really good! I've been to other locations and would love to try this if I ever get the time in Orlando!

Hey guys, hope everyone had a magical Christmas!
Thank you! It sounds like you did as well :goodvibes

Yup, we're going to be grandparents again in July!!
Congrats!!! How great it'll be for the cousins to be so close in age :goodvibes

It actually went better than I expected :)
So glad to hear it! 27 is a LOT of people!

I hope your move went well also!
It did... and most importantly - it's OVER! Except for the unpacking and decorating a new place... but one step at a time. My computer is set up and really that's all that matters anyway, right? :rotfl:

I would LOVE to do a MNSSHP - it looks like so much fun! And I love your outfit :thumbsup2

It looks like a nice Christmas with all your family, I was scheduled to work so the actual day was quiet at our house, it was a nice day! I love having both my kids under the same roof, that is a gift in itself!

Congrats on your news of an additional grand baby, how exciting!

Despite the crowds, MNSSHP is my favorite party, love it!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You and Steve are just waaaaay too young to be grandparents for the second time!!!! How exciting!!!!party:

I love how you had to point out that your couches are normally not arranged that way. I would point out the same thing. Hee! Hee!

Hayden is as cute as ever! It looks like she had a great Christmas!

The GF sure knows how to put out a spread!
The spinach dip he'd had before and deemed delicious along with his veggies, flatbread, a berry under there I believe by the dip, and that's it  But still very good and a very nice selection! We loved eating in the lounge every time, it was peaceful even when on the crowded side. We could always get a table with a view, too.
That's what we loved about WL even during Thanksgiving week we could always get a table with a view :goodvibes

I love her hat so cute

She loved her excersaucer we got her!
Perfect gift they are great my girls loved them

Yup, we're going to be grandparents again in July!! Don't know quite yet if it's another girl or a boy but I have a feeling it's a boy :earsboy:
I should add one of my kids, too:
Congratulations :cheer2: We are expecting our third grandchild in March another boy. Being a grandparent is the best and I agree you guys look too young to be grandparents ::yes::

Love the shirts and your ears!

Hayden looks cute in her activity chair. Babies like those things and they are convenient when you need to keep them out of trouble for a few minutes. We had one at our house just for the visiting grand babies.

The Halloween party is fun. I am surprised you waited four years to go again. :)

Just catching up. Hayden is adorable and I'm glad you were able to spend Christmas with her. Christmas is so much fun with little ones. How exciting that you'll have 2 around next year! Congrats again to that and I loved their shirts.

I can't wait to read more about your MNSSHP night. I'm really looking forward to it. We didn't enjoy the Christmas party when we went in 2017 but my kids will be 2 years older which makes a huge difference. Plus we don't tour as hard as we did that first trip so they should be well rested.

She is the most adorable baby!!!
:thanks:

The food at HOB looked really good! I've been to other locations and would love to try this if I ever get the time in Orlando!
I know it's hard sometimes to choose the DS restaurants when you want tons of park time, and it's been awhile since we've eaten down there with the kids! Just works out better when it's only Steve and I, but yes HOB was really good and I want to go back.

Congrats!!! How great it'll be for the cousins to be so close in age :goodvibes
Thank you! That's definitely a plus, my sister has a son very close in age to Ricky which is great. Then there's a gap between Chris and her other two which kind of sucks lol.

I would LOVE to do a MNSSHP - it looks like so much fun! And I love your outfit :thumbsup2
Even though the parties have gotten more crowded I still love it,and if you do ever have the change I say try it!

Despite the crowds, MNSSHP is my favorite party, love it!
Same here, I didn't like that it was so much more crowded than the last time we went but I'd still go again! I was happy with what we got done.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You and Steve are just waaaaay too young to be grandparents for the second time!!!!
Thank you  And you bet I at least am too young to have to grandchildren lol.

I love how you had to point out that your couches are normally not arranged that way. I would point out the same thing. Hee! Hee!
 Even if someone stops by during the holidays that's never seen our living room the normal way I point it out  Because it's something I would notice in someone else's house as weird as that sounds!

That's what we loved about WL even during Thanksgiving week we could always get a table with a view :goodvibes
The club lounges are so relaxing, it's nice that even during busy times of the year they aren't over crowded.

I love her hat so cute
I actually got her a white puffy vest to go with it :goodvibes Couldn't resist!

Congratulations :cheer2: We are expecting our third grandchild in March another boy.
Congrats to you, too!!
And please say hello to Kathy for us

I really like this shot. Very nice!
:thanks: coming from you I take that as a HUGE compliment!

Hayden looks cute in her activity chair. Babies like those things and they are convenient when you need to keep them out of trouble for a few minutes. We had one at our house just for the visiting grand babies.
We have a bouncy seat we bought to keep here, but now that she's bigger I think we will have to get one of our own especially with another one coming :goodvibes I also want to get a high chair and a stroller to keep here................it'll be just like when mine were young with all the baby stuff lol.

Christmas is so much fun with little ones. How exciting that you'll have 2 around next year!
I can't wait, especially since Hayden will be 18 months!

can't wait to read more about your MNSSHP night. I'm really looking forward to it. We didn't enjoy the Christmas party when we went in 2017 but my kids will be 2 years older which makes a huge difference.
I promise I'll update soon, it's been crazy here since New Year's. I do enjoy MNSSHP much more than the Christmas party which we went to twice, but not since 2012. And yes the kids being older will make a big difference!

We were packed in tight at all of our Christmas celebrations, too, but it's cozy :) Very exciting that you will be grandparents again! I love those shirts they were wearing LOL!

Let me Introduce Myself...............

is what I feel like I should be saying, I've been pretty much MIA here since the new year! And I hate it :( I miss catching up on everyone's reports, updating mine, and I really thought I'd have my Thanksgiving TR and dining reports started by now. I've just been slammed with work since the 30th, and on top of that through a series of unfortunate events (well, one stupid event) I managed to do something between spraining/fracturing my right thumb, which makes it a bit tough and painful to type :scared: Which is exactly what I have to do for work, so..........
I've also wanted to share our plans for our quickie Jan. trip, coming up in 11 days!! I'm super excited for this even though it's just 3 nights.

Sun. 1/20:
-arrive MCO approx. 9:20, drop bags FQ,
-go to Epcot to check out Festival of the Arts, including some of the food offerings.
-FP for FEA, SE
-dinner at Citricos 5:45, plan to watch HEA from outside Gasparilla Grill (we found this spot back in Sept. when we watched Hallowishes there -and love it)

Mon. 1/21:

-I have to be up to make ADR's for a client at 6, so rather than the original plan to take it easy I decided we might as well go right to a park :)
-HS to get on TOT a few times
-FP for TOT 10:10
-no idea, but if it's not cold and we're still there at noon we may do HBD Lounge for lunch
-if that doesn't work for lunch, may go over to Tutto Gusto in Epcot
-no idea
-most likely try Morimoto for dinner
-possibly attempt AGAIN to get to Jellyrolls

*I do have FP's for RNRC and SDD, but they're later in the day and I don't know that we'll stay or go back. I'm sure we can get on RNRC earlier and we'll be fine not riding SDD*
Tues. 1/22:
-possibly do a TS breakfast somewhere
-MK, FP for BTMRR, Space, 7DMT
-possibly Yak & Yeti for dinner? Depends on how we feel and what else is available
-probably finish in Epcot

Wed. 1/23:
-flight is 10:30 so we'll have to be ready pretty early for ME :sad1:
-look forward to EPIC girls' trip in May!!

Am I killing some of you with our extremely non-structured touring plan :P I know, and if the kids were with us I'd have it more planned for sure. Neither of us care so much about rides this time (well, except TOT for me) we really just want to check out the festival and eat some HOPEFULLY good food. You don't know this yet, but while we had a couple great meals in Nov. we also had too many food fails and I need to make up for that! Thanks for listening to my little sob story and reading through my (almost non existent) plans. Now on with the show!

Boo To All OF You!
Day 4 Part 3 Con't
I left you all hanging with our entrance into the Halloween party; we got there early, did a few rides, and waited for the party festivities to start. The first thing we did when 7:00 came - really about 6:50 - was get some PP pics! I'm not big on doing these but so many of the party specific shots were awesome that I'd decided we needed to do them:

gravediggers.jpg

This is the one I really wanted to make sure we got:

poison.jpg

We got a really weird one that had Tinkerbell in it even though it wasn't Halloween-ie? And then we moved on to get the party started!

Capt. Jack was meeting on his old show stage:

IMG_8934.JPG

Usually I'm impress with Capt. Jack and can easily see my BF Johnny in him, but not so. Even Steve commented that he didn't see my BF Johnny in "that guy".
One of my main goals as silly as it may sound was to meet Br'er Bear and Br'er Rabbit who were supposed to be roaming/meeting around Frontierland and that's where we were headed. We didn't see them around Mountain Big or Splash, but I did find B. Rabbit wandering around town!

IMG_8940.JPG

And wandering is the perfect word, this guy didn't stand still! He actually had a CM up his butt pretty much the whole time, as did Br'er Bear when I finally tracked him down:

IMG_8939.JPG

Seriously I think this was my biggest disappointed of the trip, the fact that these guys didn't actually meet. Why have rare characters out if they can't meet? I'm ok with not doing autographs, but they barely stopped to take pictures. Br'er Rabbit not at all; Br'er Bear did stop like, for 2 seconds a couple times but at least once it was to hug and make nice with an off-duty fellow CM.

I made Steve stick around as I knew the Cadaver Dans were coming out soon:

IMG_8941.JPG

These guys are always good but with the spooky spin on their singing, they were even better!

As luck would have it, Br'er Bear was still roaming when they finished. I stalked him and stalked him until the CM blinked and I got to do this:

IMG_0438.JPEG

The CM wasn't even mad and see, Br'er Bear is smiling too :goodvibes He knew how happy he made me.
OK enough of that, now it was time to get a spot for my all-time favorite Disney parade! Yup, we had yet to really make it out of Frontierland and we weren't moving for the next hour. We were also hungry, and while I failed to get photographic evidence I held our parade spot in front of Pecos Bills while Steve got me a Mickey pretzel and himself some tacos from the aforementioned Pecos Bills. We ate while we waited - I haven't mentioned this yet but Holy Moly, it was WAY more crowded than any party we'd been to before - and held firm to our front row spot. The Br'er's minus Fox kept roaming and shortly before the parade started, did a little hoedown dance. Also dancing, this one CM in the line of CM's guiding people out of the road:

IMG_8953.JPG

IMG_8957.JPG

The 2nd shot isn't great, I was trying hard to capture his enthusiasm and he had it! He was hysterical and totally fun to watch; dancing to the music while he got people to stop crossing in the middle of the road while the rest of the CM's were just like :sad2:

The parade was about to start! But before I get to that here's a pretty cool shot of the HM I was able to take while waiting:

IMG_8946.JPG

Eventually I'll get through this party; I'm just thrilled to be back here and to have gotten another update done before our trip! Thanks for sticking around!

Let me Introduce Myself...............
Hi Arianne. I'm Kari. I like long walks on the beach, Disney, and fermented fruit :P

Am I killing some of you with our extremely non-structured touring plan :P
Not me!!!!!

I managed to do something between spraining/fracturing my right thumb,
Oh no!!! Hope you are feeling better soon. And if not there is always your toes :lmao:

I so love this picture. I totally missed out on any of the magic shots. I was clueless.

And wandering is the perfect word, this guy didn't stand still! He actually had a CM up his butt pretty much the whole time, as did Br'er Bear when I finally tracked him down:

img_8939-jpg.374576
Would you call him a B'rer Butt :-)
img_0438-jpeg.374581

The CM wasn't even mad and see, Br'er Bear is smiling too :goodvibes He knew how happy he made me.
Glad you finally got your hug. Odd they weren't allowing them to meet. We did randomly run Fox and Bear into them in AK one day. Thankfully with no one up their butts

Seriously I think this was my biggest disappointed of the trip, the fact that these guys didn't actually meet. Why have rare characters out if they can't meet? I'm ok with not doing autographs, but they barely stopped to take pictures.

This exactly! I need to do our party update from our sept. trip and just haven't had time. But if I had done the update, I would have said this almost exactly. I really wanted a quick picture with each of them too but no such luck for us.

As luck would have it, Br'er Bear was still roaming when they finished. I stalked him and stalked him until the CM blinked and I got to do this:

Well I'd call that a pixie dust moment. Glad you got a hug.

By the way, we leave tomorrow for our 5th trip!

I managed to do something between spraining/fracturing my right thumb, which makes it a bit tough and painful to type :scared:
Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear that. :headache: Hopefully you'll be feeling much better soon :thumbsup2

I've also wanted to share our plans for our quickie Jan. trip, coming up in 11 days!!
:hyper::hyper::hyper:

I'm super excited for this even though it's just 3 nights.
Any time at Disney is worth it :thumbsup2

-I have to be up to make ADR's for a client at 6, so rather than the original plan to take it easy I decided we might as well go right to a park :)
Good plan :thumbsup2

Mountain Big or Splash
Love this! :rotfl:

I stalked him and stalked him until the CM blinked and I got to do this:
Awesome! Love this shot. And your patience paid off ;)

Pretty cool shot indeed ::yes::

I LOVE your January plans. I like the go with the flow trips. There are nice...and I'll miss Disney so much this year. :(

How unfortunate you couldn't meet Br' Bear and Rabbit. It's like tracking down those Country Bears, which I love to do. Not easy though.

I'm with you (and other posters) on that being so NOT like Jack Sparrow...disappointing!

Can't wait for your Thanksgiving report...maybe you'll get to the full one before I get to mine...plus hopefully you have our photo from our way-too-short meet! :)
