MK/Fantasyland “Early Morning Magic” (EMM) FAQ & Discussion

I was waiting for these to be released - unfortunately the only time offered while we are there is Easter Sunday. My 2 older kids love staying at resort to do Easter morning activities such as the candy scramble. Now I don’t know what to do. I was looking forward to EMM with the 1yo. I really wish they would add the Tuesday’s for all of April.

What are your plans for 9-10 am?
This obviously affects our Fastpass selection ( day 1 we are trying for splash, thunder and haunted planing to RD space) thoughts on day two fp

I’m debating with myself over this too. I hate to waste that first hour after opening eating. I’m thinking we’ll ride 1 or 2 standby rides, eating as close to 10 as possible and book the first FP for 10-11. This is our fly home day so we need to get out of the park by 1-1:30. Booking at 10, 11 and 12 will allow us time to grab a quick lunch before leaving. I plan on playing with bumping up the fast pass times as we use them as well since we’re in a time crunch.

Good morning,
I've searched around, and of course can't find what I want... (It didn't seem important until today T-2 until EMM at MK)
So here's my ?
Does anyone know what time the characters begin their M&Gs on EMM days (Just the scheduled Cindy/Elena and Rapunzel/Tiana)
in Fairytale Hall?
TIA

I just booked for April 21! FYI - I called in to make my reservation because I was using a gift card. During the CM's standard spiel, she said there is a 5-day cancellation period, which I think is new/different???

I booked this morning and the cancellation in my emailed recount confirmation says it’s one day. I think some things are 5 days (I feel the MK dessert parties are 5 days) so maybe he got confused.

Hi all, we are booked for a free dining trip Aug 3-10 2019 for my family of 4 (children are ages 8 and 11). I had scheduled a pre park opening breakfast at BOG on Aug 4 at 8:10am however now I see that will be the morning of EMM. So my question is should I keep the BOG reservation or is it useless now? Also, is the EMM worth it? It would knock out the majority of the rides they want in MK but it is $300! Please help me decide!

Booked May 5th. I need to see how fastpasses play out though for AK though since we have a super short trip. My 5 year old will finally be tall enough for FOP so if May 5th is the only day we get FPs for it then EMM at MK will get cancelled.

Literally planning on walking in at 945-950 am

I did this back in October 2017. They let us in at 0750 and I rode Peter Pan, Pooh x2, 7 dwarfs x3 and had breakfast at Pinocchio Haus. The food was great and many choosings. What I didn’t like was they let the day guests in at 0830. Even though there were boundaries, I would have preferred some pics of an empty Main Street and taking advantage of photo pass. Once the park opened at 0900, we still had breakfast until 1000 but it was too short of time.

They start with EMM. We did the new version back in December and started with the meet n greets. We were the only ones the entire time. My video of the morning is on YouTube. We did all 4 princesses in 11 minutes with major quality time with them. It was his birthday and they had fun with him.

We are thinking of doing this on June 4th if Disney does not release any After hour events for the MK while we are there.

How quickly do the EMM tickets sell out?
Is there a DVC discount?

Thanks

No discount for anyone. As far as I can recall, there have not been any sellouts for MK EMM in quite some time and definitely not since they expanded it.

MK EMM has generally not been selling out with its current arguably more popular rival (DHS EMM) going strong, but it CAN sell out. But unlike DAH tickets, EMM is cancelable with a full refund with one day notice, so there’s no real downside in booking now, other than having to pay the full amount in advance.

We did emm last summer and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. I’m really excited to do it again this summer and I’m happy to see that they’ve added additional rides. Has the addition of rides changed how busy things are? I’m thinking the only change I’ll make is that I may try to rope drop the tomorrow land rides instead of the frontier land rides since the breakfast has been moved. Any other suggestions?

The added attractions are a highlight and the only downside is the breakfast is that it’s not what it once was. Even that, I highly recommend the new format. I have a video on YouTube if our morning and all we got done
