How much would you pay for a SWL ride?

One benefit / additional element I could see if they separate out FP for these rides (be it to pay just for them or just separate in MaxPass vs other rides, etc) is Disney could then sell packages

"Now you and your family can take the ultimate vacation int he Galaxy .... the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge package includes your room, park tickets, dining, and guaranteed access to the newest and most incredible attractions Disney has to offer!!!!"
I suggested this a while ago...maybe why the crackdown on FP's to free some up.
Also I think the crowds are going to be so overwhelming that hard ticket events might not start right away..they will need to keep the park open for long hours just to keep up with the demand. It would be really hard to run people out before a hard ticket event..could trigger a resistance.

I'm kinda scared to say because Disney may then begin to charge for all fastpasses. … Alright you got me Disney, I'd pay 25 dollars per SW fastpass.

Next on E*Bay: Disney to auction SWGE fast passes. Based on this thread, it would be a sure money maker pirate::chewy:

Next thing you know Disney will start requiring tickets for every ride ... perhaps different coupons based on the thrill level/popularity of the ride - each with a different cost. Let's say they label them as A-E tickets and perhaps sell them in a booklet and then let you buy more of what you want

nah, never happen

A paid for SWGE FP's would serve the same purpose as a hard ticket since it would guarantee entry without waiting just to enter the land...just be more crowded.

Disney costs enough as is. I'm not paying for fast passes and I pretty much never to parks that have a paid cut the line option unless I know it is going to be dead.

I'd prefer a modest FP+ fee than an "early morning" or "dessert party" where you're getting a very small value out of the food and are paying $79 to access the land for an hour.

My guess is there will be all three: charges for better FP+ access, an early morning magic event and some sort of dessert party/after hours event. They'll have that place running from 7am to midnight and have it monetized from day one.

I'd gladly pay $20 bucks per fastpass per ride.... anymore than that I would think they'd need to throw in some sort of collectible trinket / snack / photo opp /etc.

Cant wait to look at the MDE app to see the wait times when it finally opens.

It's sad that my first thought when reading this wasn't disgust that they would consider selling fastpasses for this ride. It was "I wonder how much I'd be willing to pay..." I think Disney knows a lot of people will end up feeling this way. When you have so many people visiting these parks and not knowing when they will get to come back you get pretty desperate to make sure you get to experience what you really want to experience. I honestly don't know what my price limit would be. But I do know that sadly I would pay to guarantee I got to experience these rides without having to wait 5+ hours.

I imagine they could charge $100 for a single fastpass and still sell out for some time.

Exactly!!!

I don't see them going as high as $100 per ride but i can see a $25-$50 range for each ride. I can totally see Disney give out this option.

I would imagine they would have to keep SWGE open longer during the day to fit in these "paid FP+". I dont know how it would interfere with regular FP+. I guess they will have a computer program figure all that out.
