ust thinking about Europe... now I'm wondering about splitting our trip up into two trips. DH has the request for some theme parks, but most are closed/very limited hours at the time I was thinking. So maybe push for one in Jan/Feb that is mostly big city things, like London/Paris (maybe DLP ) that kind of thing. Get to use my Marriott Platinum status. Then do a slightly shorter trip in the summer, going to some of the theme parks and maybe other things that are more in the countryside, since that's where the theme parks are mainly. Must run idea by him.

Two trips are always better than one!

The points are pending, but they didn't show up on the transaction until it went from pending to posted. They show as a Chase Pay bonus.

Hmm, maybe I'll try another Chase Pay transaction today and see if that triggers it. I did two in one day, about 15min apart. If not I'll just mark my calendar to message them.

Ugh tried to call Chase to figure out why I can't access my SW Biz online. Shouldn't it automatically show up under my Chase Biz login? I didn't have time to wait on hold though.

I'm starting to get worried because I received the statement in the mail last week and the points still haven't posted to my RR account. Also, I hate paper statements! I need to enroll in paperless ASAP. haha!

My CIU didn't show up in my account because I left off my middle initial, which is on my other 2 biz cards. It took over an hour and five different reps (one who hung up on me thus adding additional time on hold) to get it sorted out. Super annoying!!

Finally my ebags stars have aligned. $10 free rewards cash and 20% back on ebates. I had the free cash about a month ago and didn't pull the trigger because I was waiting for a better portal offer. Then my $10 expired. They gave it to me again a few days ago. Now my dilemma is the Dakine backpack I wanted for DH is now less than $49 so will need to add something else for free shipping. Darn. Though seriously can't figure out what to buy. Don't really "need" anything. DD did steal most of my packing cubes for her trip so maybe I should get more. But my $20 Target suitcase isn't going to last forever, maybe a new one. Decisions, decisions.

Alright, it's been awhile since I've talked churning because we've been working on our Capital One Venture MSR and wanted to stick to one at a time. We are now less than $200 away from meeting that MSR and I think Dh or I should get a card before our Japan trip. Here's where we are:

So I believe I'm at 1/24 and Dh is at 2/24 as well. Is that correct?

I'm kind of interested in the AA cards, but I'm not positive on that since we do have some URs. I potentially would use our URs for a future USO trip down the road (maybe next year). Once we hit one year for our CIPs we would either PC to CIC or close them and apply for CICs. I guess it depends where we're at with cards at that point. Dh's CIP is coming up here soon while mine isn't until July.

Any thoughts?

I would vote for CIP #2. If you're planning to use it in Japan, make sure you get one with no foreign transaction fee. The CIP does not have the fee. The CIC does.

I have no doubt this is what the Chase CSR reps told you, but I don't believe it. I put DH's middle initial on his CIP #2 app yesterday, and it is not on his first CIP or CIC. His new CIP is sitting in his online Chase biz account this morning without my doing a thing.

DW and I just had to give DD her flonase for the first time, She's never taken anything like it so she asked if she had to swallow it and DW said nope. you have to login, probably on your cart page to the right under the pricing there is usually a shoprunner logo and you can login if you aren't already. And the item has to be shoprunner eligible, which it should say on the item page. The majority of stuff seems to be there.

So I did that, saw the shoprunner logo and signed up then couldn't see anything else about it. Finally refreshed my cart to see my item is not eligible for shoprunner, but can now get free shipping because it changed my coupon on me. For some reason the other coupon will not work anymore so now my item is over $49.

Yep, that's happened to me too. It's not just Ebags, I've had it happen on 1800Flowers, and other sites too. Sometimes all these discounts don't play nicely. You just have to decide which gives you the most benefit.

I've really tried to consciously make an effort to SLOW down with MSR's. My gut instinct is to get them done quickly, like it's some kind of race, so that I can quickly get the SUB and move on to the next card. I think some of it is FOMO. It's thick on this thread. Even if I have absolutely no use for a card, if someone else is getting a great redemption from it, somehow I *need* that card and those points. What I was finding though is I was spending more than I normally would. I wasn't prepaying anything. I was just spending more. So, I've been trying to slow down.

And then the grAAvy train came along. I'm trying to meet those MSR's asap cause I need those points in place. So, I'm back in sprinting mode.

I have been trying to slllowww as well. I only put non bonus cat spending on my MSR cards now, and I don't prepay things.
