TOTW lounge access - final verdict?

DVC member (direct, not resale) not staying at BLT this trip. Can I go to TOTWL? So confused.
To answer your question. Resale owners are allowed to use TOTWL (https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/dvc-direct-vs-resale/). To answer you question on when you have to be staying at BLT to go up (https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/destinations/list/florida/bay-lake-tower-at-contemporary/) see the section in that link on TOTWL. Also remember outside of the blockout dates you can go up as long as you are staying on-property (even if cash and a value resort).

Thank you! I was reading guidelines somewhere on the website, but it wasn't the one you posted. Very helpful.

Just curious, how are you getting to TOTWL if not staying at BLT or a monorail resort? We have driven over to TOTWL a couple times but it seems to be tougher and tougher to convince the security guards to let us park.

Bus to MK and walk over. Did itast month during Princess Half weekend while staying at Coronado Springs.

Yeah parking for TOTWL isn't allowed per the link above. While you can park at CR for shopping/eating at the Grand Concourse they don't allow it for TOTWL. Even shopping the Grand Concourse can be more strict, despite what this link says, https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/faq/resort-reservations/parking/. I find CR to be strictest because many people park simply for the walk to MK. With that being said I usually TOTWL on a MK day or boat over when at WL.

It should be noted for non-DVC site Disney has the following link on parking, https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/parking/, which does say parking is for "select" dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences. So this gives them out to deny parking based on the gate attendant and I suspect the DVC site takes back seat.

You can park at the TTC and monorail around to BLT. The parking at CR and BLT is a mess during conventions and holidays. So I can see why they restrict parking sometimes.

Approximately how early would everyone recommend arriving to check in for access to the TOTWL? We have a BLT stay booked and we would like to visit one evening for the fireworks viewing. I was considering an Chef Mickey's early dinner reservation (around 5:00-5:30 if possible) and then a trip to the lounge, but I don't know if this would make us too late. If it wouldn't work I could make the Chef Mickey's reservation a different day. This would be our first stay there so I'm clueless on the logistics!

We generally stay at BWV, and either go to TOTWL on an MK day or Uber back-and-forth - super easy!

That is the easiest. Bus over to MK from wherever you are staying, then walk. Looking forward to TOTW with our youngest DS in August, after an ADR dinner at the Wave. He has never been up. ::yes:::woohoo:

You should do fine with the 5-5:30 ADR. Getting a seat in the lounge could be problematic, except maybe by the bar, if you go up any later than an hour before the fireworks, but you do not have to go to the lounge, going up a half hour before the fireworks should get you a place by the wall.

Great, thank you! We’re looking forward to it!

We arrived in the lobby at about 8:40 last week for 9:15 HEA. The "wall" near the entrance was sort of crowded but we went to the left and it was much less crowded.

Thank you! We’ve never been there so I’m not completely sure how it works. I just don’t want to get turned away because we got there too late and it’s full. It sounds like our early dinner should leave us plenty of time!
