The minimum CL chase will give you on a CSR is 10k...but you can lower the CL once you have it...you can also lower the other cards..there is no minimum that I know of

The 5/24 count is based on the original date you opened the Preferred card
@ctinct - I'll add that we currently have the following:
  • CSR with $1,500 CL
  • CSP with $2,500 CL
  • Marriott Personal with $500 CL
  • IHG no AF card with $500 CL
  • SW card with $500 CL
  • Disney card with $1,000 CL
So there is a lot of flexibility there :)

Did anybody else notice these AWESOME new card names in the Chase app:

No see, this is Chase's new secret partnership with that Samsung Bixby assistant thingamajig.

I missed this post! Mt Dew??? Ick! No way, I cannot drink Mt Dew :faint:

Do you drink coffee? Coffee is my first love behind God, family, country...well, some days coffee even moves up in that list lol :hyper:

I can't even like this comment :sad2:
All y'all non-coffee drinkers are seriously missing out on the best 'warm hug in a mug'

Preach! Coffee is #1 on the list. The Lord will understand. I don't drink it to wake up, I'm never any less tired after I'm done with it. But I need 20oz to deal with the stupid people at work. There's a woman who rolls in first thing at 6 AM with me. Never liked her. Couldn't figure out why until we were talking about coffee and she proudly boasted she never touched the stuff. Don't trust her as far as I can throw her.
Sometimes I wished I liked coffee, but then I see the price of Starbucks :scared1: (and the calorie count!) and I realize I'm good with Coke Zero.. If I need something warm there's always apple cider..

I don't drink Starbucks coffee either. We invested in a Baratza coffee bean grinder years ago and it's been the best purchase ever. We buy fresh roasted beans and I have a Chemex and French press for daily use. Starbucks uses good beans but there's a fine line between good coffee and burnt coffee, and they cross it a lot. Not to mention the price.

Well SW just canceled my flight home from Chicago this Sat. They claim it was a Max8 but I already checked that and told her those were canceled days ago also, then she went to say there is no reason listed. So now all flights are booked Fri/Sat/Sun so only could get a Monday evening flight. Went to call customer relations about this but they have over a 100min wait. Anyone ever get SW to compensate for this? Was a points/Companion trip but fees paid for by the CSR before I downgraded it...

Tweet at them, I think others have had luck that way. Especially since you know how to foot the bill for 2 more nights hotel, I'm guessing unless you are staying with family.

Ugh...your poor DH...was he able to get a room at the Hyatt there
I haven’t heard from him. He’s trying to see if they’ll let him switch to a different airline

ETA: he just texted saying he’s on a shuttle to an airport....his flight doesn’t leave until 5:30 am tomorrow. This is such bull. He has no clean clothes to wear

Dh said delta gave him a golf suite voucher and no meal vouchers. Are you $&@%ing kidding me? He has to stay 12 hours later than planned with no clean clothes and you give him a golf suite voucher?!! Delta is the crappiest airline ever. We’ve had so much better service with frontier and everyone calls them crap. I’ll take their $28 flights any day over delta.

Now Dh just texted and said his sister’s house is on fire! Is the whole world falling apart?

It's an unfortunate part of flying. If you fly often enough you get to experience it unfortunately. I've spent a night in the Pittsburgh airport hotel because instead of leaving at 6pm (delayed to 9pm and missing a connection in Atlanta) I ended up leaving at 5am the next day (I didn't want to spend 2 hours driving to get 4 hours of sleep). I've spent a night at a Charlotte hotel when American could only get us halfway home due to a missed connection. I have a few others that I can't recall at this point too. I've experienced lots of 3-4 hour+ delays when I used to travel more frequently for business that cost me functions at the kids schools or family get-togethers on the way home.

The interesting part about the night in Pittsburgh...I should've boarded the flight to Atlanta. Weather related issues caused a ripple affect and our bags made it to Florida and we did not. Had I just taken the flight to Atlanta I'd have made it to my destination (or worst case I spend the night in Atlanta)...

At any rate, I'm sure the more seasoned business travelers have lots of stories. It's one of the risks of being on one of the last flights of the night to your destination. If it's weather related (even if it was caused in another city earlier in the day) there's really nothing they can do and the compensation is very limited.

I know none of this makes you feel better, but it's just part of the air travel gig.

What is a golf suite??

Oh my on your SIL's house!!! Hope everyone is okay!

In general, I think the days are over when an airline put you up in a hotel and provided meals b/c they cancel or delay flights. We were delayed 9+ hours on Frontier a couple of years ago and they provided nothing. Not even a free snack once the flight finally did take off. Nor any communication whatsoever about why we were delayed, when we might take off, nothing...I've never been delayed overnight but I have several family members who have been and they have had to just sleep in the airport or get a hotel at the airport, if one was available.

Oh NO...hope everyone is ok...I really hope your poor DH gets this job...:tinker::tinker:double pixi dust he does

I love these kinds of things. It correctly nailed me as being from the Baton Rouge-New Orleans-Mobile area. Family raised in New Orleans and I was born there, but there's enough influences from the other two cities where I grew up to pick up on the other stuff.

I especially love this question:

What do you call a drive-through liquor store?

My culture shock after first leaving Mississippi as a teenager was finding out the vast majority of people would answer I have never heard of such a thing. We have no specific word for a drive-through liquor store because they were ALL drive-through, so no distinction was needed.
It says I’m from Chicago burbs/Milwaukee& Madison WI. Which does make sense since I grew up in Chicago and the suburbs but my dad grew up in WI.
I have heard of drive thru liquor stores but we don’t have them here. Until a few years ago, quite few suburbs had blue laws not allowing liquor sales on Sundays or at least not before noon.

The AA miles don't work for Disneyland, right?

We had a weekend that helped put how precious life is back into perspective. My aunt is 52. She was having headaches and attributed them to stress at work. She went to the doctor on Friday because the headaches continued, and the doctors found a mass on her brain. Surgery is today at noon. She's the reason I teach, and when I started out in education she was my mentor. She was set to retire in just a few more years. I try to balance saving for someday down the road, but not missing the opportunities that exist today. I don't think I'll ever regret having traveled and spending quality time with my family. Thanks to everyone who helps each of us take more trips and enjoy experiences through credit card points!
I hope she does well and recovers quickly
