Rude WDW guests...

Ok so I was about 8 or 9 and I was watching the Little Mermaid show in Hollywood Studios and had just gotten some Flip recording camera and I was excited about it and recording the show and these two women in like their 20s or 30s asked me to stop, so my mom told me to just lower the camera down and turn down the brightness. Keep in mind that I'm 8-9 and excited about a new recording camera, so about two minutes later these two women start kicking mine and my mom's seats as hard as they could because I didn't completely stop recording so my mom told me to go ahead and hold the camera up in front of their faces and turn up the brightness for the rest of the show as she got out her camera. They stopped kicking, but we held up the cameras. They glared at us the whole way out it was hilarious XD.
You realize that you were the rude one here, right?

No because I was 8 years old and we tried to make a compromise that benefitted both the 8 year old child and the two fully grown women, so they decided to start kicking an 8 year old's seat as hard as they could because we didn't do exactly what they wanted, so me and mom responded in an appropriate way to how they responded. Had they not done that, we would have not responded in that way.

I think this has become sort of a universal experience now, especially knowing that Disney will put its foot down on May 1st to ban some of them, but stroller families. I'm not here to hate on families with young children because I love seeing how enchanted kids are by Disney and the place really is for them, but when families run over your feet with their stroller and expect an apology is so odd to me. Don't get me started on when families fold up their strollers AFTER they begin boarding the bus, making everyone wait behind them.

I agree about some of them being aggressive; however, I had a different issue in Epcot on our last trip.
My mother (in her 60s) and I were walking briskly with the rope drop crowd, and I wash pushing my ds in his stroller. A young woman (looked to be college age) jumped directly in front of my stroller, and I couldn't help but run into her ankles with it. We would have caused a collision had we stopped, and she did it so quickly that I really didn't have time to stop.
Normally, I would apologize to someone for hitting them in the ankles (having said that, I have never done it other than this time, and even that wasn't intentional), but I simply said to her "You should not be jumping directly in front of moving strollers."
She looked surprised, but kept finding 6" holes in the RD crowd to keep moving forward.

I've had similar issues with wheelchairs. Both my wife and son have been in wheelchairs at one point or another for trips to Disney (due to hip and back surgeries). I've gotten pretty good at pushing wheelchairs -- and I'm also in pretty good shape so I walk fairly briskly.

I can't tell you how many people assume that wheelchairs must be slow-moving and/or can stop on a dime. While I'm very good at not running into people who are walking slower than I am, I'm not always good at avoiding people who step directly in front of a moving wheelchair. I've even had people step directly in front of a moving wheelchair and stop short. Not smart.

I agree with @Sugardimples completely - maybe you were a child and didn't know better, but your parents certainly did - that's how children can be taught rules and consideration for others. Children don't get a free ride on rules because of age.

Yes, but the poster said "You realize that you were the rude one here, right?", as if the other women were not, and they most certainly were. If the compromise offered wasn't good enough for them for some reason, then they should have continued the conversation instead of moving the disagreement in a physical direction. Seriously? Kicking the chair of a child? That's crappy. Especially since the kid may not have understood the reason why any of this was happening to begin with. The child did as they were told. "Rude" is a mild word to use for an adult purposely kicking a child's seat, whether the child's parent was also being rude or not.

2 years ago (on the last day of my previous Disney trip), my family was rope dropping MK and headed towards the jungle cruise (my pick). Then we got separated in the crowd and it was me and my 6 year old brother falling behind. When out of nowhere I heard a voice yelling "Hey you in the Pirates shirt (I'm from Pittsburgh), you better get moving or I will run you over" I then turn around to see a 60 something year old lady in a mobility scooter flipping me and my brother off and speeding through the crowd. To teach her a lesson in chivalry I continued to walk at my current pace, not slower but also not faster. This pissed her off. She then proceeded to ram me in the back of my ankle three times until I stepped aside and let her speed past while yelling "Learn to respect the elderly *******". I then got to the jungle cruise with my parents and told them the whole story, they then took me to first aid to get my ankle checked out. Thankfully nothing was broken and we got fastpasses for the Cruise. The shining moment of this however was when we got to pass the family of this idiot at the "merge point" of the standby and fastpass. And I laughed more than usual during my ride, truly a great end to my Disney vacation.
