Ol' Tiggerdad is NO LONGER officially homeless

What the!?

Dude!

Happy thoughts of my camper just got ruined by the visions of shopping bags filling the back bunks and falling out in the floor down the steps...
Maybe Mrs. Tiggerdad won't notice ? Better to bring it home while she is away for the day and fill it with everything from the old one along with anything you can ,beg, borrow, or have the boys appropriate

Congrats Michael on getting the truck fixed and your new 5'vr. Looks like a nice rig and it beats tent camping by a whole lot. I really like the tankless water heater. Have you ever heard of swivel wheel attachments ? It is similar to a trailer but attaches to the receiver directly. Does not have a trailer tongue. You can haul a golf cart of anything that will fit and they are legal to tow in Florida.

Dangit! Change in plans. The guy backed out of the consignment. I said "Forget it". Dealer had a new one on the lot, same model, newer with few more options. We worked out a deal on it that I was comfortable with and we just decided to go with new. Still better deal than I was getting on other trailers, so I'm not totally out.

I will check on this. Thanks Joe.

sorry the fella backed out, but glad the dealer could get you a good deal anyway. Sweet.

Sounds like it was supposed to be. And now you have a new trailer warranty.

Read up on the swivel wheel.

I've read positive, but the negative is the stress it puts on the bumper/frame. It is essentially a long heavy lever arm that is pulling on the attachment points every time you turn. There are some horror stories about it breaking off the bumpers or breaking the frame. Not sure what kind of weight those people were putting on it.

Yeah, looks pretty good. Golf cart runs about what, 450# (sorry, that's dry weight. With batteries closer to 1000#) for battery operated one. The one thing I would be concerned on was a sudden incline change like turning into a fuel station. Still, it looks like it would be better as it stays in line with the trailer, so backing it with a camera would be easy.

Trailer warranty is two years. Camper comes with lifetime warranty after that on the appliances and other accessories as long as I get a once yearly maintenance visit with any RV service center. Have to look into that some more.

Check into the weight on the GC. I thought battery carts were up closer to 900#.

Yes, sorry, you are right. Dry weight is around 450#. Electric carts with full batteries are closer to 900-1000#, which seems to be out of the recommended range for the swivel wheels or at least is right at the limit.

Idaho Tote is another one, but boy are they proud of that one. Toy Tote is another. May consider, but if I have to make any additions on the receiver it would void my warranty so will have to keep watching.

If need be, I have room on my car trailer. I'd be happy to pick up the golf cart on the way and bring it to The Fort for ya :thumbsup2

Oh all options are open, but still leaning towards the trailer as the probable favorite. I'll check into the Grand Design. Funny thing, if you think about it. You either have to have a vehicle to pull the trailer, or you need a vehicle to tow behind what you are camping in. Either way, two items.
Just call Uber when you need it towed some place.

Great looking trailer! Love the tankless heater idea....no more navy shower I guess (as long as you don’t mind using more propane I guess...)

We have tankless water heater in the house, and it is very efficient. From others I've talked to and reviews I've seen the tankless water heater in the RVs are pretty efficient as well. Several reviews noted families of 4, living in RV full time and only having to refill 30# bottles (pair of them) about every 2-3 months so figure about $15 bottle (what it cost for me to fill here in MS) I think that is pretty good. The girls love the idea of not having to conduct the Navy shower routine.

I always used the bath house, but now...

I checked on the swivel wheel trailers. For the ones rated at the weight I would need for my golfcart I would need to add additional hookups for the extra support, this would require welding two additional trailer receivers to the existing package. I have been informed this will void my warranty so for at least the first two years this will have to remain a consideration but I can pull small trailer where legal, just won't be able to back up without disconnecting it. We'll work through it.
