Annoyingly true. Discover routinely took 3 full business days to do anything. Ally is so much better in that respect. I've got an Ally > Fidelity > Wells Fargo loop going for the $400 WF bonus & everything happens within 1 business day of when I request it. Discover would never.

Lol His usual complaint is with how high the shower head is. He ends up pointing it as high as possible then I get in and it’s over my head.

Yeah I think the shower height is but the shower head isn’t at the top. He had no complaints at Coronado, POFQ, Beach club, Disneyland hotel or the Grand Californian. But the all stars he always complains. I’m 5’10 and I’m fine. He may just be picky.

Frustrating travel planning day.

- The Chase travel portal apparently no longer can book Norwegian Air. We did it 2 years ago with no problem (had to call it in) but HUCA three times today and couldn’t make it happen. It was a nonstop flight to London. Everything else that pops up on google flights is either very expensive or terrible connections. I’m trapped into late July/early August due to sons summer classes and husbands job.

- Today I get the notice for my kids spring concert (for school) and ITS THE SAME WEEKEND AS OUR DISNEY TRIP. I had planned a perfect trip months ago, have ideal fast passes, food and wine fest, finally AK at night (we are from Miami so AK is our Sunday park and we always leave around 4). So frustrated with schedules, scheduling, kids events, sports). Just blah.

Got really excited as I've been checking hotel dates for our trip... right now I have a standard room at Pop at rack rate. I saw AS Movies come up under the Gift of Magic offer.. preferred room... only $10 less total than Pop. Nevermind...

I went with poly. It was only $300 total more than BCV studio for the 7 nights. Hope I don’t regret it!

So I went ahead and bought the $199 offer I received for Sheraton Vistana Villages today! I got a four night, five day stay for $199, plus 15,000 Marriott points. I called and asked if I could get more points, but they said no. I was ok with that though, since it honestly is a really good deal. She also said that there are no blackout dates, so you can travel at any time. There are, however, "red dates" over major holidays and a two week spring break period when an additional $25/night would be charged for nights that are red dates. So worst case scenario, you'd pay $299. However, we have no reason we can't travel during quieter periods, so there should be no reason for us to have to travel on a red date.

Definitely will! Don't plan to do it until over the winter though. I figure I'll appreciate 5 days in Florida in the sunshine the most then!

I'm pretty sure there's stuff about the property on the Orlando hotels board but if not or if you have any questions I have friends that own there and stay there twice a year. They are going down the beginning of next month. They really like it but it also works well for them because they do a mixture of things so staying onsite somewhere just would work for them. They are empty nesters but always get a 2 bdrm, I think mostly for the 2nd bathroom than for the 2nd bedroom.

I posted a little while back talking about how I’ve actually been out of the game for awhile. I just haven’t had the energy to manage apps and spends and points so have just been relying on my go to cards.

However, I’m in the process of buying my first house! I’m thrilled and terrified lol. That said I will be doing some renovations immediately. Are there any cards particularly good for this kind of spend? I know the Home improvement stores will offer 0% financing on their cards.

Anybody done this to maximize rewards? Not sure if I should just pick 4-5 cards and go for the best sign-up bonuses to pad my rewards accounts or if there’s a better way to maximize spending from Home Depot/Lowe’s etc.

Thanks! I'll have to check those boards. Yeah, I'm definitely envisioning this trip as not just Disney. Maybe one park day, but definitely want to do WWOHP again and I'm even thinking maybe we'll finally take a day to drive down to Tampa and go to BG.

I know! Me not needing Friday kind of ruined it. I could get fri to mon, and would have gone back to a value for the last night if needed since well have to catch DME stupid early. But when I looked at shifting the dolphin to wed thurs, wed night is $600 or something crazy. And doing a value those two nights leaves me with my Marriott credit to find a use for plus kind of ruins the WL deal because a value costs so dang much then compared to my dolphin price with credit

No personalexperience, but 2 things come to mind. I believe @calypso726 leveraged some deal when doing home repairs/renovations. And I know @Jen and Ashwin got a CIC (or 2?) for the 12mths 0% offer (I think that may be gone now) and then bought home improvement store gift cards at office stores to earn 5x URs
