I have heard that the bus to Magic Kingdom takes forever. However that you can walk to Epcot.
Anyone have suggestions? For example walk to Epcot and then to magic Kingdom?:crutches:

I'm not sure what the parameters for forever are, but can tell you that bus reviews from every resort to a park or DTD are all over the place on these boards. We've stayed at BCVs numerous times and have always had good bus service to MK and AK. The walk to Epcot, through Epcot to catch the monorail to TTC and then monorail or boat to MK will take much longer than the bus service from Boardwalk. Not to mention that you will need park hoppers or AP to go this way. On the flip side if you do have hoppers or AP, we like leaving MK via the ferry to TTC and then monorail to Epcot for a leisurely stroll back to the Epcot resorts.

No. just take the bus. Bus transportation at the deluxe resorts leaves something to be desired, but adding an extra transfer (or two) is going to take longer and be more frustrating.

You can walk over to Epcot and enter through the International Gateway. Then walk through the WS to Future World and all the way out the front gate. Get on the monorail, change at the TTC and get on another monorail to the MK. Not sure if it's faster than the MK bus because it depends on how long the wait is for the bus and how fast you can walk to/through Epcot from the Boardwalk.

Also, you must have a Park Hopper option on your tickets or an AP because once you enter Epcot, you cannot enter the MK the same day without a hopper option or AP.

As already mentioned, walking all the way thru EPCOT to take the monorail to MK (with a transfer at TTC) will take way longer than taking the bus from your resort. Heck, I expect you'd be on a bus heading directly to MK before you could even walk thru EPCOT and up to the monorail platform.

The bus to MK, from BW, is fine. Yes, the bus makes stops at the S/D, but it's just not a big deal.

As a Board Walk Veteran I can say that the bus service to MK is quite good and on our last 2 trips of 9 days each at least once there were no stops at S/D, usually it does stop there but not always. At any rate, being able to walk to half the WDW parks compensates for having to take a bus to MK and AK.

I agree that the bus service from BW to any of the theme parks is no better or worse than any other resort that I've stayed at. You may stop at Swan and Dolphin or you may not. (There is also a slight chance that the bus route may be shared with Yacht and Beach as well, but that only seems to happen during the really slow times.) I've had trips where the bus went straight to the MK and other times when it took a very long time (1 hour) to get to MK due to long loads at the resorts. Overall, allow about 45 minutes and you'll be okay in most cases.

As others have said, you can walk through Epcot to take the monorail to get to MK. You'll need to have park hopper tickets (because you'll be entering Epcot first), but I've also done this. It's not necessarily going to be faster, but it can be fun...especially if you wanted to do something in Epcot before heading over to MK. Just note that this only works if Epcot is open (and Epcot opens after MK on some mornings).

When we stayed there in June, we walked over to Hollywood Studios and grabbed the bus there. It's a toss up. Most days those buses were faster. But I remember one day that it seemed like people already waiting there said it had been a long time already.

Personally, I'll never understand walking (or boating) from BW to either DHS or EPCOT to get to MK. Take DHS..the boat will take 15-20 mins. Then walk to the MK bus and wait for the bus. Then ride to the MK.
Or walk to EPCOT, go thru bag check, walk to the front, exit and wait for the monorail. Ride to TTC, transfer to the express line.
The wait times for a bus, at BW, are no worse than other resort wait times. I've seldom had wait times longer than 25 mins.....usually around 10-15 mins.

Do you know the order is stops leaving the Epcot area? We are staying at the Swan and are worried about the buses filling up for an EMH morning

What time of year were your recent trips? Wondering if it was due to high crowds and that they added buses

If by "forever" you mean less than a half hour, then yes, it takes forever https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney...-bus-ride-boardwalk-inn-magic-kingdom-274626/

But given that every. single. guest. ever. wanting to travel between BW and MK has been successful - no, it does not take forever.

Lol. I love the idea that guests disappeared before reaching MK. It could be a new ride - like Tower of Terror Part 2. "The Haunted Bus Ride" - coming Fall 2022 to The Boardwalk Resort.

To walk to DHS and then get on the bus from there is a crapshoot. In my own experience, buses from one park to another park first thing in the morning are few and far between. I would not recommend that if you're trying to get to a park at or near opening.

I agree with PPs that the MK bus from BW will be fine and still faster than any alternative options (except Uber).

I agree. Early bus from DHS to MK? A bus to the Contemporary might be faster.
