Question for any Hilton experts here.... I'm a little frustrated b/c I don;t understand the booking rules.... when I look online, I can book Friday May 3, but not 3rd and 4th. I can't book just the 4th. or I can book May 4th and 5th, which is a saturday-Monday- why is this? it seems to be the thing whether paying csh or points. When I called to ask why I can't book that Saturday, she said it was fully booked,nothing available. So I told her that yes,they obviously had an available room or I couldn't book the Saturday and Sunday which showed as available. She had no answer. Anything I can do about this short of wasting a night of points? Which I'm not willing to do. At this point I booked Friday at the hotel I wanted and Saturday at another hotel,which is a complete PITA.

Does it happen to be a football weekend or something similar? That’s the only time I’ve seen that kind of thing.

I have settled on booking us (fam of 6) in groups of 2. That way there are less to check in but it still ups my odds of rebooking for price drops. It is a compromise on booking everyone separately and works well.

I considered that, but with my bigs now tied to the military their vacation time is much less flexible so I'll have to continue to do them separately. I could do 4 though.

nothing notable that I can see....so this is a policy? why would they do this? csr said it was a length of stay thing,so why not Fri-Sat? ugh. I'm just hoping there's a way around this

Does anyone remember a SW promo where you if you earned a certain amount of points in the early part of 2019, you could get an extra bonus? It was on my dh's account but it's disappeared now. I remember the chatter from DoC was that cc signup bonus points should count towards the amount needed. Anyone remember that or actually get credited the bonus?

It's still ongoing until the end of this month.

When you have at least 10,000 points post to your Rapid Rewards® account between 2/1/19 and 4/30/19 under the category of 'Credit Card', you'll be eligible for a 15% bonus (up to 15,000 bonus points*).

With the Starbucks reward thing switching on Tuesday has anyone seen any more info on it? I'll have enough for two free items tomorrow once the bonus stars hit. Not planning on using one tomorrow which leaves me with Monday. I don't drink more than one hot chocolate a day and don't eat stuff there. I'm just curious if the free item I have will revert to stars or stay as is. It's 150 bonus so I guess either way it doesn't matter too much except that one would leave me with 25 stars left towards my next one and the other would use them all up. I thought by now there might have been more info, I didn't see anything in the app that would tell me.

Try looking for Friday thru Monday. If that’s available in your category (and refundable) book it. Then call and say you need to cancel whichever days you don’t need. I had this problem with Hyatt. Needed Saturday thru Monday. Could only get Friday thru Monday, no other combo available for points. Booked it, called and told them plans changed and I didn’t need Friday. They were able to do it no problem (I had called previously when trying to book and the rep couldn’t get Saturday night either).

About 2 months before the merger was announced I signed up for a SPG AMEX. I'm now sitting on what should be enough points for 4 nights at the Swan/Dolphin but instead it's half that. (grr) If I refer my husband is it possible to link his card to my existing Bonvoy account but still get his bonus points? His bonus points, what I'd get for the referral along, and what we currently have will be enough points for at least 5, possibly 6 nights. So, anyone know if we can do that?

I am far from the Marriott expert but I am pretty sure you can’t do that. You could refer him, have him have his own account, and then do a stay booked separately (with the understanding that you will probably need to move rooms). I know you can transfer points between spouses with Marriott but I am not sure how it works...just know it is not as easy as it was when it was SPG.

Another option: have you looked and seen if you have any upgrade offers? I was able to upgrade my personal SPG to the Lux (now Brilliant) for 100,000 points. If you don’t see that as a possibility online you could always call and ask.

I have only seen certain hotels set a length of stay policy for big events. It is the hotel, not corporate. For example, SEC football weekends at UT you can't book just Saturday night.

ETA: Why do they do it? Because for big events they can get away with requiring people to do 2 nights at the inflated rate. Supply and demand.

Another option: have you looked and seen if you have any upgrade offers? I was able to upgrade my personal SPG to the Lux (now Brilliant) for 100,000 points. If you don’t see that as a possibility online you could always call and ask.

15gb shared which is more than we ever use. But if you need more it is 5gb for $10. My mom does straight talk and has unlimited but I wanted cheaper.
ETA: straight talk unlimited data is $90 for 2 lines. They do have a hotspot if that’s impt.

I'll have to look into this... Of course, I just paid $150 on my verizon bill to use that AMEX offer. I have a single line plan for my phone and tablet, 5gb data, for $66 after my work discount. DHs phone is on his work plan.

Was this the outlet just outside of WDW or a different one? I've been to the one outside WDW a few times now and I swear, it is *just* like being at MK. That store is so small for the amount of people there.

Hi there, I have a question. Plastiq only accepts MC or Discover for my car loan (lease). So can I go buy MC Gift Card, and use it on Plastiq? Does Plastiq accept MC Gift Card same as paying by Mastercard? If so, that’ll really help!

It should, I've used many MCGCs to pay my auto loans. Are you working on a sign up bonus spend? If not the fee is typically more than the points you'd get.

Yes, I’m working on my Amex Plat Delta and my DH’s CSP sign up bonus right now. It is a little harder to knock down Amex, so if I can use it for my car loan, I should be almost done with Amex MSR........and I can apply for CIP next!
