Here you go. Tell me if this looks about right or if you'd change something up please! We only have the one day in the park and we are dropping our luggage at Hollywood Hotel beforehand, coming from Kowloon. I plan to take an Uber or Taxi from our hotel to Disneyland to cut down on the time the train would take, leaving around 8 a.m. Does this give me enough time to be in the park right when it opens?

Also, do we need reservations for tea or can we just show up. I've not been able to find conclusive info on that. TIA!

Hong Kong Disneyland

At 10 a.m. when park opens

· Ant Man and the Wasp

· Ironman Fastpass?

· Hyper Space Mountain (has fastpass if the wait is too long)

At 11 a.m.:

· Mystic Manor

· Big Grizzly Mountain

Fantasyland:

· It’s a Small World

· Fairytale Forest

· Mickey and the Wonderous Book (show)

Then Adventureland (teatime first):

· Jungle Cruise

· Tarzan’s Tree House

· Moana Homecoming Celebration

· Paint the Night Parade (light parade)

Restaurants

RiverView Inn for High Tea

Explorers Club for dinner

I think you will get a priority pass for antman and the wasp for staying onsite. If this is correct then I would switch around your tomorrowland stuff for the end of the day. Jungle cruise does not have fastpass and the line does get long so I would do this first. My experience was that a lot of the park closed before actual closing time, except for tomorrowland which stayed open. This may be true for you as well depending when you are going. Do this part later in the day and just get fastpasses for hyperspace and ironman if the park seems busy and lines are long.

What day of the week will you be going?

HKDL is a small park and you’ll have plenty of time to do the things listed. Are you sure that the Riverview Cafe will be open when you visit? It’s been closed most days lately.

Also keep in mind that Toy Story land, Grizzly Gulch, and Mystic Point usually close an hour before park close.

I don’t think iron man has fast pass anymore, but the waits have been really low lately it seems (15 mins or less).

It will be on a Tuesday in early July. Hours aren’t out yet. Does this affect either of your recommendations?

I’d love to know if we did get the passes for staying onsite. I’ll look into that. Thanks!

Riverview Cafe is rarely open (sometimes less than 10 days in a year) so I wouldn't plan on eating there. If you're talking about Plaza Inn on Main Street, you wouldn't need to reserve.

Do Explorer's Club for lunch instead because it's right next to Mystic Manor and will probably be closed by the time you'd want dinner. Also be aware that the rafts to Tarzan's treehouse may close at 5PM. Depending on crowds you'd want to arrive 30 to 40 minutes early for Moana, budget 30 to 40 minutes for Jungle Cruise and budget 30 to 40 minutes for Tarzan's Treehouse. I do not recommend rope dropping jungle cruise because the way they let people onto boats can leave you waiting for a long time anyway.

Iron Man doesn't have FP and I usually recommend people come back to it in the evening after Toy Story Land through Adventureland are closed.

You might want to add Lion King, Flight of Fantasy and the Summer Pixar Parade to your itinerary.

The Moana show is in an outdoor space with very limited capacity. There is some room to look on from the side, but if you want a good spot (and especially if you want a seat) you need to get there early.

Pay attention to when things close early. Not only do the 3 newer lands close early, the train closes super early and we didn't realize. We wanted to ride it and were disappointed.

I second Explorer's Club for lunch instead of dinner.

It will also be HOT when you visit. There are super fun super themed water play areas in both Adventureland and Grizzly Gulch worth checking out.

Looks like we will get priority pass to ONE attraction. What should we use it on?

I really wanted high tea at Riverview Inn. Maybe we will have to settle to do it in Plaza Inn instead. I'll have to look up reviews on it. Doing high tea is a treat for us coming from the States, and doing it in a Disney park would just be extra special :)

I've got to say it's a little annoying areas close early. Do you know in advance? If so, how do you know?

Thanks, everyone. Really helpful!

It's in the Times Guide like everything else, you just need to know to look for it. We didn't.

The train is currently under maintenance, possibly until Frozen Land opens in 2021ish. Check the Times Guide for the land opening hours. There's also signs posted in those lands with English stating when the lands close.

As far as what to use the Priority pass on, I recommend Grizzly Mountain. In the summer, Grizzly Mountain has a chance of getting long wait times in the afternoon and not getting short because it closes early. If crowds are low or you're confident you can get to Grizzly Mountain early, Ant-Man would be the better choice. If you think you'll want to do Ant-Man multiple times or it's raining, Ant-Man will also be the better pass to get.

Just FYI, I don’t think Plaza inn serves high tea. I’ve never eaten there but the menu looks like traditional Chinese food. Hopefully this link to the menu works! https://secure.cdn1.wdpromedia.com/media/hkdl/dining/EN_plaza-inn.pdf

Someone else who knows more about Disney dining may pop in otherwise.

The menu for the Main Street scorned Cafe says they have tea from 3:00-5:30, but that may not work out time wise with the rest of your plan. Depending on when you go, you may not be hungry to eat dinner at Explorer’s Club.

Here’s the Main Street Cafe menu: https://secure.cdn1.wdpromedia.com/media/hkdl/dining/EN_main-street-corner-cafe.pdf

I would maybe see if you could do high tea at either a hotel on a non-park day or elsewhere in Hong Kong on your trip. Lots of places here serve a nice high tea, and you wouldn’t be so time restricted.

Riverview Cafe is rarely open (sometimes less than 10 days in a year) so I wouldn't plan on eating there.

Back 1.5 years ago, i started planning 7-8 months before and wanted to go to Riverview Cafe for a meal. Check the website every otherday to see when it is open but just kept seeing under refurbishment or something like that.... in the end, over a period of more than 1/2 a year, never seen it advertised as open.

They also forces us to get off Main Street station, our plan was to loop back so we had to walk all the way back to the show.

Lights a tad dim over there, not sure if it was that particular room we were at. So kind of difficult to see what you're eating. LOL

Yes, me too! Well that's too bad. I guess we will just wait until we are there the day of to figure out if we can do a high tea in the park or not.

My family is huge Haunted Mansion fans at WDW, so eating at a restaurant themed after the Mystic Manor is pretty high on our list. We will just head there for lunch to make sure we can eat there. I know it's different than Haunted Mansion, but still looks cool :)

Thanks for the suggestions on how to work our morning with FP and PP, that's helpful.

I bet that's the one I've seen reviews for. Thanks for the clarification! I'll pencil it in instead.

Oops... I wrote Plaza Inn when I meant Main Street Corner Cafe. Main Street Corner Cafe almost always has an afternoon English tea set. Plaza Inn's is seasonal.
Absolutely do not trust the opening times of restaurants on the website. The Times Guide will generally be accurate.

If you decide to have afternoon tea outside the park, I like the ones in 1881 Heritage. Not a big fan of the Penninsula because I find it overpriced and noisy.

About the lights in Explorer's Club. Yeah, the lights and air conditioning are really low there. That's why Royal Banquet Hall tends to be a lot more popular in the summer. You may want to bring a portable electric fan into the park if it's hot.
