Do you think the radiator/overheating issue resolved?

Well we did not overheat, that was the good news. I am still consuming coolant, somewhere. Had to put a quart in upon getting to our destination in TN. I have not opened the hood yet after getting home, had another 6 plus hours on the road today for previous commitments. Just got home after leaving about noon today, but it did include a dinner stop also.

Chris,

That may just have trapped air from replacing the radiator. Some engines (don't know about the big diesels) are a bear to get all the air out. The radiator will be full and you run it awhile and it will suck up another couple of quarts. Porsche 944s and Miatas are notorious for this.

Yes the mechanic said when it ran and warmed it would need some as the thermostat opened, and I am sure as some of the trapped air works out. I mean 1 quart is minimal, it takes 23 gallons to fill the system.

Over the winter I had a little run in with the motor home. I was backing my work truck in its place when I got home and the 12 foot step ladder hanging on one of my side boxes hit my mirror and it broke.

A couple of winter months sitting like that and 250.00 later

It has a nice new VelVac mirror. The passenger side mirror is not as shiny as the new one, but our paint guy at work said if I bring it in he will repaint it for me.

Trying to decide now if I want to spend 400+ on new led headlights. :scratchin

So tomorrow will be one year since we lost yeti. It makes me sad. With yeti up until the end we were doing wound changes on him. For the last two years I think he had a wound somewhere, not the same wound thankfully but constant dressing changes. We went 8 months until January when Mallory got a pressure sore and had a cyst burst. Cyst is done, no more bandage changes on that. However the pressure sore is bad. It has gotten bigger, it has a deep pocket, which keeps getting infected. We are on weekly vet visits. Unfortunately the vet thinks it won’t heal, so again constant bandage changes for a long time. The pocket needs to be packed. Next week I am on my own. Bert usually does the hard part of wound care, I just pet Mallory and keep her comfortable. Not next week, I have to do it all on my own. Asking for a little pixie dust. It is going to be hard on me tomorrow and then the rest of the week.

Wow. I can't believe it's been a year either. The dressing changes suck. Even as a nurse, they were hard to do on one of our pets that got squamous cell cancer.

You'll get through.

An update on how things are going. Well monday night taking her out myself was difficult. I had no process down and it was a lot of carrying her and her front end going down. I was using all the muscle in my arms i could. I did manage to get her peed and back upstairs. Thankfully Bert changed her dressing monday afternoon so i did not need to do it that night. Tuesday afternoon my right arm was a bit sore from the lifting, but i had a better method for peeing her so i figured that part out so that i was not killing my arms. Tuesday night i had to change the bandage. I did it. I don't think i scrubbed as hard as bert but unfortunately neither one of us is getting much bleeding which is not good. I woke up this morning and my right arm is killing me. As in it is super sore from lifting all the weight i am lifting. i decided i did not need to do push ups today, not sure i could do it if i wanted to. I still got her out this morning. I was hoping after peeing her tonight i could put her in the cart so she could walk, but i don't think i will be able to do it. Maybe tomorrow. She does have to walk a little from the bedroom to the living room and back but i did not want her to not walk at all for 4 days.

Lowest high temp on record yesterday. 51 degrees at the ball park today. Glad I'll be on the beach at GSP in 12 days.

trying to get everything ready for the GSP trip, in between building an ark. 50's today and tomorrow with rain, then rain off and on all week with temps increasing.

Sounds like you are getting our weather 24 hours later. We are forecast to be in the 70s and 80s the next 10 days. Finally... Today was mid 60s. That's 10 degrees below average, but better than the 50s we had all weekend.

I'm probably going to bring the camper home middle of this week. I'm contemplating replacing the brake pads. I had a hub off last Fall when I had to repair the brake wiring after the blow out. The pads looked thin, but I just looked at the new ones on etrailer and they aren't thick to start with. Now I'm thinking I don't need to replace them until the end of the season. I'll probably pull a hub this weekend and take a closer look. I just need enough time to get the brakes and replace everything.

A few days ago, on a different thread, there was a little discussion about what STL was and I made reference to it being one of the logos for the best team in MLB. Apparently Dooney and Bourke thinks so too. I found this little nugget for Donna.

Happy Mother's Day
