Guys!

Tested out the Plastiq MC offer. This works on multiple payments! I paid my mortgage x3 and was able to make some Heloc payments. I could go back and make MORE heloc payments just using a different start date.

I haven’t tried it but when you say multiple payments you mean you can schedule the next 3 mortgage payments AND three Heloc payments and they all used the 1% fee? I didn’t try anything but looking at the terms all I could tell was that it said last payment had to be scheduled before 5/31 and not after 8/31.

DH got instant approval on his Barclay AA Biz :thumbsup2

So no request for documentation? The rumor was that they were asking for documentation if added employee so I haven’t done it yet. If they aren’t necessarily I (DH) might go for it.

I've actually never been on a cruise. Dh and I looked at Disney cruises and they didn't appeal to us. We would maybe consider another cruise line, but I still think I'd rather fly somewhere.

one of the cool things about cruises is that its a moving hotel. u never need to unpack and repack everyday. u dont also need to find food. also, if ur bored, there are plenty of things to do on the boat...
really enjoyed my last cruise, want to do more!

6/16/17 CSP (now CF)
10/17 CIP 1
01/18 SPG Biz

07/18 . Amex Gold
07/18 IHG
12/18 SW Biz
01/19 SW Plus
03/19 Hilton Aspire

I know I need to wait until June for CIP2 due to 5/24, but June 1 or after June 16? And, can I hop the grAAvy train biz in the meantime?

I attempted to call Chase today pretending to be DH (it didn’t work) and when I told him he said “Do I have a new card I don’t know about?” No I was attempting to cancel the excursion I booked through Chase portal.
Tell us more about this...how did it “not work”? Did they call you out on it? Was it awkward??

Today I had automatic approval for the Citi Biz AA card! It even had a crazy $25,000 credit limit. I went for the 75,000 miles offer since the plan is to use it for my mortgage and that is sadly easy to meet in 3 months. I have been on the fence on jumping on with Citi it and had pretty much convinced myself to wait at least until hopefully approved for CIP#2 June 1 (didn’t want hard pull to make Chase hesitate).

Basically I got the email from Plastiq and within 5 minutes of that was on Citi application and had applied. I was even late for a meeting...no time to waste since the Plastiq payments have to be scheduled by 5/31. I figured I need enough time for the Citi card to arrive. Even with the sad AA deevaluation with Disney I figure point diversification does not hurt and 1% on Plastiq makes it an easy way to pay the mortgage.

Sweet! Just got this from Plastiq:

Dear Wendy,

We noticed that you haven’t used a Mastercard recently to make your payments, so we’d like to make you a special offer.

Schedule three payments in a row with a Mastercard (up to $2,000 each) and benefit from a low 1.0% Plastiq fee - up to a $90 value.

Many Plastiq customers enjoy the convenience of using their Mastercard to pay for a wide variety of bills - from rent and car payments to utilities and business expenses.

Please submit your scheduled payments by May 31, 2019 to qualify.
Me too. I'm considering paying the fee to put my mortgage on my IHG card. Hmmmm. I'm currently transferring from bank acct so not getting anything for it.

I'm sure we'll end up trying one sometime. I like that everything is in one place, but I like to do things like hiking and going on nature trails. I know you could do that on an excursion. After our Japan trip we'll have to decide where we want to go next so maybe we will end up going with a cruise.

Yes I was able to make mortgage payments and at least 2 sets of Heloc x3 payments all at 1%

I'd wait till 6/17 plus it would hopefully give you a better chance. they seem to be approving mondays apps by tues. less of the waiting game vs applying on the 16th.

I've been thinking of this too now. really was hoping staples would do the no fee for mastercard again

so now that the wheels are turning the citi biz aa card for DH. If I apply for him now it says 70k offer. what is the value of this card if we end up not using it for disney hotels?
ETA which offer is a better value the 70k or 40k? I can meet the spend using plastiq with the mortgage so thats not the limiting factor. Just trying to figure out which is a better offer and with including plastiq 1% fee.

I thought it was June Gloom, at least that’s what people told us last time we came in June. I’m 2/4 for sunny weather when I visit California!

. . . our weather woman reminds us every year . it's May Gray and June Gloom . with for

the most part June Gloom burning off around noon [in the Coastal Area's] Ten miles

inland it can be sans Gray/Gloom in the am . The tourist's might be unhappy but it is the

norm for SoCal folks . a fair amount of tourists are aka Zonie's who are pacing

themselves for the 110* plus temps in their future

I see people mentioning they have a 7 night certificate for Marriott. I know with the cc, it gives you one free night a year. Where did people get the 7 night certificate from???

:offtopic: PSA: If you own a Soda Stream do not, I repeat, DO NOT try to "soda-ize" home made sun tea. >:(

I tried this with kool aid shortly after I got my soda stream years ago before they had the kool aid flavors. I totally understand :) I think it just only works on water which is why you add the flavor after. But I get the thought process since I had the same one. And who knew it'd react that way?
