Not a big deal to some I'm sure but...

Maybe try Etsy for a button? Even if you can't find anyone offering pre-made specifically LGBTQ WDW buttons, there are lots of people doing customized WDW buttons, so you may be able to work with someone to create a button you think Kyle will appreciate. I hope you both have a great trip! :)

I am taking my 14 year old transgender son to Disney World in September for his 15th birthday. He is super excited bc we got our stuff in the mail and it all says MISTER Kyle Carter instead of MISS Mikayla Carter. His face lit up and he was so happy bc it's his first time at Disney AS KYLE instead of his dead name. We've been 5 other times but it was before he was out publicly. It just felt good and I wanted to brag :) Do you know if they have LGBTQ in the free celebration buttons??? LOL

I don't have an answer to the button question like everyone's answer about getting a celebrating button. Maybe add a little rainbow to it?

I also want to say, Yay! so happy for Kyle :)

My kiddo is also trans and Disney is one of his happy places. He also love Harry Potter so we spend time at Universal too. My son's first visit to Disneyland at 6 years old was also his first opportunity to make a wish at a wishing well. He wished to be a boy. I didn't know it at the time and have a picture of him (looking like a sweet little girl) getting ready to toss that coin.

Visits to the parks on both coasts have been part of his journey including getting to the point that he feels comfortable being out and wearing Pride merchandise....I highly encourage finding the Mickey Pride ears. Seeing hat buddies around the park all day feels fantastic and inclusive.

Enjoy your trip <3

Also worth noting we just got in some Pride beach towels :) so that would be nice if you guys decided to go to a waterpark.

If so I recommend Blizzard Beach :)

The rainbow earhats were still available on shopdisney.com a few minutes ago. Of course when you get them in the parks you can get your name embroidered in cool rainbow thread. When we went to Disneyland in March they had tons of them available. My son and I bought some for us and then more for various friends and family members.

And then there’s the DisneyWorld baseball cap version:

This whole thread is so wonderful, I'm crying. Thank you to everyone sharing their anecdotes about bringing their trans kiddos to Disney, wow I didn't know I needed this.

I hope you all have a great time, and good luck with the buttons! 💕

I can´t add any info to what people already said, but I just want to say that you´re an amazing mom and your post brought a huge smile to my face!
As a lesbian 34yo (married to the most marvelous girl in the world!), I wish more LGBTQ people had accepting and loving parents such as yourself! I can´t complain, ´cause it was tough with my parents in the beginning, but they eventually came around and my mom nowadays loves her "new daughter" (as she calls my wife), but it didn´t have to be tough at all, ya know?
So thank you for being part of the change in the world and I hope you and Kyle have an awesome trip full of love, fun and pride! :rainbow:
