What's going on with Philharmagic?

I have a trip June 9--16, and I'm finding that you cannot book FP on Philharmagic during this time. Now, I don't want to have a FP for Philharmagic by any means, but I find it odd because I know they don't run out of FP for that show (you can get some for today, tomorrow no problem).

It's not showing up on any online refurbishment lists, is Disney doing some kind of "quiet" refurb job? or are they taking it out of the FP system altogether?

I'm bummed by the idea of not being able to do it. It's one of our favorite things.

I just booked fastpasses last week for my trip 7/08/-7/15. At the beginning of the trip, there were no FP for Philharmagic, but then at the end of the trip there is. I just assume it's going to be down for refurbishment and they've not officially announced it yet.

How much notice do they give? We arrive on Sunday and the granddaughters are really looking forward to this.

I honestly have no clue. It appears they've taken it out of the fastpass system for certain dates. Are there fastpasses for your dates? I guess that'll let you know if it's open.

Not available for FP+ at all during my dates (June 29-July 5). Not that I wanted one, but I did find it strange.

None available June 21-28 either. CRY! Philharmagic is my absolute favorite and it's what I like to end my visit with on the last day in the park.

It seems that FP availability disappears each day at the 60 day mark. For example, last week, the week of July 7 was available. Now it is not.

Last day of FP availability is May 19. We'll see if the ride is up or down next week, and see what's going on.

It's possible they are removing FP from this attraction, as it obviously doesn't need it. Ironic, as it was a legacy FP attraction.

I’d been wondering as well. I assumed refurb but couldn’t find any info. I’ll be sad — we love it and it’s a much-needed cool, indoor attraction in the summer.

I'll add to that... also an escape from the mid day crowds (especially on July 3rd).

It still could be they are just not offering FP for it anymore.... At least I can hope.

I thought I read that they were expected to do minor updates and repairs to the theater at some point soonish, but can't find that article now. What I did find was this same complaint about FP availability from over a year ago over on Undercover Tourist post, so it's not a new glitch.

Philharmagic really does need a little TLC.

Those seats have definitely seen better days. And a thorough cleaning and new coat of paint wouldn’t hurt either.

But I think a pp is right. My guess is it’s being taken out of FP circulation as they are completely unnecessary.

Time will tell.

I wouldn't waste a FP on it. The line moves fairly quickly. I was there a few weeks ago. There was no FP but it was open

Hopefully it will be open - it is a nice break when it is hot. Maybe they are just eliminating FP.

Hopefully, it will be alive and well for my July trip. The no FP availability had me worried a little. For whatever reason, this thread reminded me of the "surprise" paper Fastpasses for Philharmagic I used to get when pulling paper Fastpasses for PP.
