Top 3 shows that were cancelled in 2019

I am really enjoying The Fix, I hope there is a conclusion at the end of the season!

I love The Fix, so I hope it's resolved appropriately. I think I figured it out after the first episode, so we'll see if I'm right!

I really like The Fix too. It goes in so many different directions, just when you thought you have it figured out. :upsidedow Last week's episode does seem to have ramped things up. I wonder if they filmed different segments & endings in case the show got cancelled and had to end things sooner than they had originally hoped for?

I remember a series many of us were watching together, Life On Mars. It was so good, but then it got cancelled. And you could tell that the show had to patch on a series ending in the last 3 minutes. It happened so fast, that it took time to digest even after the show was over. And some people were still going, "Huh? What was that? What just happened?" :badpc: I'm glad we even got a series ending, but they should have gotten much more notice to give us a better ending. :sad2:

I'm glad Whiskey Cavalier, got cancelled. I hated the way the promos PUSHED the show at us, TELLING us that it was so good and we are going to love the show. :crazy2: Uh, no. Let me figure that out for myself. Then because it was pushed at us so much, it made me NOT like the promos and subsequently the show. Although, I couldn't stand the female lead from the start. Hated her from her other work. :headache:

I'm surprised A Million Little Pieces, is still around. All it is, is a bunch of morose people. And one of them committed suicide, life is so bad and hard to get through. Such an uplifting show. NOT!

From this list, Criminal Minds and Code Black will be the only shows I will miss. However, I am a huge Criminal Minds fan... so I am going to really miss it!

That happened with a favorite of mine, Pushing Daisies!! It was a victim of the writers strike and they had to throw together an ending. SO many unanswered questions. It's one I always hope will get revived (pun not intended, given the subject of the show, lol) by a streaming service. I'm grateful to Hulu for bringing back Veronica Mars this summer!!

I'm reading as your own top three out of the cancelled shows--which shows each individual will miss most.

Especially since low-key posted the three shows he's gonna miss most.
That's reasonable.
I'd say none. Not much new I care to watch. Okay, none I care to watch.

  • The Fix
  • For the People
  • The Kids Are Alright
  • Splitting Up Together
I'm also going to add Santa Clarita Diet. I love all of these!

Speaking of Criminal Minds, what the heck happened to it? I get canceling it, but they stopped on episode 15 in February. Did I miss something? I really wanted to see how the whole Reed and JJ thing played out. That was quite a twist!

We just watched the final episode of For the People. Not sure if they knew it was going to be the last one when it was written; it certainly did wrap things up, if rather abruptly. I'll miss it.

And I've just read Madam Secretary has been cancelled. :scared1: We loved it - finally a politics-based show that didn't make me want to stop the world and get off. Tia Leone was sublime.

Where did you see that about Madame Secretary? I heard it was renewed.

I am sorry to hear about Whiskey Cavalier and For the People.

:sad1: In @kaytieeldr 's post on page 2. Apparently they're giving it 6 episodes next season to finish it up but seriously; if people aren't watching this EXCELLENT show, what are they watching?

I’m bummed about Elementary, but it was circling the drain. Multiple sharks were jumped. I still liked it though.

According to these 2 links below, the show has been cancelled after being renewed for an upcoming very short Season 6. (In other words, next Fall season is it's last.) This links says 10 episodes, which is more likely, as that amount seems to be around CBS's new "short season" amount of episodes. :( And also about the same amount of episodes that a lot of cable TV, streaming shows & UK channels have adopted as their normal amount of episodes.

Of course; I was thinking Season 6/10 episodes and ended up typing 6 episodes.

I thought that might have been what happened. :) I'm just glad we get another 4 episodes. Trying to win the election in 6 episodes would be really rushing each episode. :headache: As it is, doing it in 10 episodes is still going to be a whirlwind.

My list:

1. Madam Secretary (final 10 episodes to air in the fall)
2. Preacher (final 10 episodes to air this summer
3. Star
4. The Gifted
5. The Passage
6. Gotham
7. Splitting Up Together
8. Midnight, Texas
9. Proven Innocent
10. Trial & Error
11. Take Two
12. The Cool Kids
13. Murphy Brown
14. Blindspot

The rest of them, I don't watch.

I'll also add how I will not miss Speechless ONE IOTA, as someone who found that show offensive from Day One...and I say that as a person with a disability.

I'm grateful to Hulu for bringing back Veronica Mars this summer!!

This is an older thread but I was so unhappy with the new Veronica Mars season that it really changed my view of bringing back older beloved shows, even though I loved the movie.

It's been interesting the way Kristen Bell talks about the character since the movie and the difference in how she talks about other characters she's played. I get the sense she didn't mind doing the movie but didn't particularly want to do the Hulu show. She's very diplomatic about it but I've always been curious it there was something behind the newest season ending like it did, especially because it alienated so many fans.
