DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Morning chaps from a bright London. tennis this am, double bacon cheeseburgers on the grill tonight. Homer's favourites tomorrow, with some asparagus and mashed potato. A little bit jet lagged but generally OK. The gifts I brought back went down well.

Just want to give a shout out to one of my brothers. He is a high school teacher that moonlights as a basketball coach with the pro team in Moncton NB. He is an assistant coach with the Moncton Magic of the National Basketball League of Canada and last night they completed a 4 game sweep of the St. John's Edge to win the championship (Sorry Jeff).
Nice one. Congrats to your Bruv. Commiserations to Jeff.
And, to make it worse, she got a bad draw and would face the overall #1 player in the 2nd round. A terrible way to end the season.
Sorry to hear that mate. Buy her a Mickey bar. Or even better, an ice cream sandwich.
please add me to the list........
Welcome buddy. Did someone say you had bacon?

Well that's a neat trick.
I completely failed at my assigned calling duties.
Naughty step for you, Jeffrey.......
Someone go get the cone of shame.

Morning boys.
Good morning to you sir, trust you are well.

Happy Saturday. Homemade pizza for lunch. Not much progress on youngest's arm injury. Been alternating heat & cold in hope she will recover. Still not looking good. At 14, I don't think she has the mental ability to play thru the pain.

I completely failed at my assigned calling duties. I’m glad you picked up the slack Randall or else the guys may have been stuck at work all night. I’ll have to try better next Friday. It slipped my mind yesterday because I may have snuck away from work at 2:30 before a long weekend and got the barbecue and drinks going before 5:00.

Shocking spoiler alert. I don't wait for you guys to call it. I leave as early as possible on Fridays, if I choose to go at all. There some days I don't work at all - they're called weekdays. :lmao:

Welcome home. Tennis here this AM as well. I didn't see you out there.

I do, still walk like a drunk sailor, because... well I'm drunk... pirate:

Welcome home. Glad things are back to normal.

Morning boys from a cold and overcast London. Jetlag kicked in last night, I was asleep on the couch by around 8. The big Disney spreadsheet day today, so we will start to define the parks. I'm still leaning to swerving HS totally and picking it up next year when everything is open. Unless there is a DVC preview day, then that would be awfully tempting.

:rotfl: At least we know the Rum production industry is safe for a good few years

Well there's at least 100 minutes over the last 2 years that I could have spent on a better purpose than cooking up slightly disrespectful double entendres about princesses.

Have a great day fellas.

Afternoon gents! Not much here other than worked backside off yesterday around the house and just hanging with the family with a couple of nice pot roasts for dinner. Did book Spring Break trip for next year with just me and the boy to hit Galaxy's Edge for the first time (maybe second for me depending on DDCC8). Enjoy the families guys - cheers!

Norm, hope your youngest pulls through, but she still has 3 years. Sometimes at that age it is better to heal than play through. District track for us on Thursday. DD doesn't have much chance of state tournament unless everyone in the 4x400 has their best times of the season. If she sticks with it I look for her to do well in 300 m hurdles by her senior year. For a little school we might actually send 2 girls to the state tournament this year for high jump and 100 meter dash.

Had a meeting with hop growers yesterday. Everyone but the state government rep and me got to enjoy free beer because we were officially working and it was a long 10-hour day. At least i got to pick up a Mrs. Incredible mug for SWMBO when I passed through the big city. I didn't know until yesterday that Disney no longer provides bags at the store but they will let you buy one.:headache:

Anniversary tomorrow 24th which is why I stopped. She is still on probation for a couple of more years as I was 28 when we started dating and she hasn't been with me to the break even point yet but I wouldn't want to break in a new one at this point either.

Morning, folks.
Happy Victoria Day (or May two four) to the other Canucks. Hey Dan, you celebrate that too?
I was shocked to find that this year is her 200th birthday and nary a mention. I only found out because I googled to see if we were celebrating birth, coronation or death anniversary.

When are you all going?

We've told them we're going for Halloween, but we're heading down at the end of August. Double surprise.

Hopefully incredulous in a I can't believe we're going to Disney and not I can't believe you're taking me away from my friends way.
:woohoo:

Oh yeah, it was the good kind.

Have you told your brother?

He didn't tell me about his trip to Mount Rushmore, I didn't see the need to tell him about our trip. :rotfl:

That's straight out of a Hallmark Card. ;):rotfl:
Happy anniversary mate to you and the lovely Mrs wasnotafan

No mate. We have no Public holiday celebrations to mark any of the Monarchs, historical or contemporary. There are several traditions tied to specific Kings & Queens but they don't really get much coverage, they are more a Historical society thing. The closest thing we have I guess is Remembrance Sunday.
